    I’m glad I’m leaving Raleigh and moving to Brunswick County. The people are so nice and welcoming.

    Great information. Where should we look in Hampstead or Ogden for homes in the $900-$1M mark?

    • @livinginwilmington2783
      @livinginwilmington2783  5 месяцев назад

      you are going to get a little more for your money in Hampstead, however if you want to be more central and close to major shopping Ogden might be a better fit. Happy to send you some options currently on market to you can get an idea if you want to email me criteria. My personal email is jake@movingwilmington.com.

    What about neighborhoods for more "country" living? Not too far from the big city or beaches, but with land, mature trees, ability to have animals etc. At least a couple acres to play with but more is good if it has some forest etc.
    If like to see those areas and prices.

    • @livinginwilmington2783
      @livinginwilmington2783  Год назад +1

      More country style living with several acres will most likely not be in traditional neighborhood here. But here are several options close to the "big" city of wilmington such as Rocky Point, Castle Hayne, lots of areas in Brunswick and Pender County....all of these are 10-30 min away from Wilmington.

    Have you made a video showing some communities that are great for young families? Also, a video for people considering moving near Wilmington, NC from out of state? :)

    • @livinginwilmington2783
      @livinginwilmington2783  Год назад +1

      Hampstead is always a great option for young families. It has a great school district and you get a little bigger house and property for the price than you can in Wilmington. Feel free to reach out and I can give you some specific neighborhoods or you can take a look at our video on Hampstead neighborhoods! Jake@MovingWilmington.com

    Curious. How many of those areas that you included in your video are in flood zones? We are looking to move to the area and are seasoned hurricane veterans and, as such, are very sensitive to not living in a flood prone area. Thanks for your reply.

      We love Salters Haven....Logan And Bill Clark Legacy are both great builders in the community. It wasnt on this list due to the smaller lot sizes in that community. But if you are looking for amazing amenities and boating access this community is hard to beat!

    Hi Jake, we are interested in transplanting from Illinois. Just curious, I've been told wilmington can get boring and hear there isn't much to do in the winter. What has been your experience with this?

    • @livinginwilmington2783
      @livinginwilmington2783  2 года назад

      It is the same as most beach towns.....summer is really what its all about and then in winter it can get a bit quiet. There are still things to do like festivals like most places.

      Just moved to Hampstead from NY last year, do it. Wilmington has everything you need and Hampstead is about 15 min north and a beach community so it's limited but you can't beat the homes and beach access. Coming from Long Island it feels like L.I. did in the 1989s around here.

      My 30 year old daughter moved to Wilmington a year ago and she loves it! There are so many concerts, Irish pubs, museums, gardens, theater, comedy clubs, dancing clubs, and great restaurants! Not to mention the beaches and their boardwalks. There's a local film making community, historical property tours, and the people are very friendly. 😊
