30 now, but watching this song live at warped tour when I was 16 and everyone standing still when "drowning in my sleep" part starts, and going fuckin CRAZY when it dropped, still gives me chills. Love you guys! Got me through so much.
2:41 nothing can compare to seeing them live in a room with thousands and thousands of people and everything going dead silent when the audience sings "drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep..." chills. anyone else get to experience this?
I was out hunting in the wilderness. I stopped. I had buck fever I said to myself. That’s a large Elk. I looked through my scope and it was underoath recording a video.
Just listening to this immediately takes me back 7 years. When I had no friends in high school, so I'd just sit around listening to music all alone and depressed.
Music and video games (runescape) were the only escape I had from my parents fighting viciously. They're divorced and much more happy I'm a college graduate everything fell into place. That being said music like this song got me through so many days. I was lucky enough to find an escape from the world around me and I will be forever grateful to underoath and so many other bands for providing me with that escape even to this day.
Ahhh to be 14 again. There is nothing like listening to stuff from the golden years. It’s funny we don’t realize how good things are until it’s gone forever..
We don’t deserve the blessing of those years when this album dropped. This is my childhood, I remember coming back from a snowboarding trip and all the friends in the car were screaming away with this. Man, if I could turn back time..
Look atthe bright side. They're back with a new album and Aaron's back in the band! Plus we have bands like Seeyousoacecowboy and Narriw Views that till kick ass. Not to mention that you can alsways enjoy this no matter what year it is.
Man for real what I would give to go back there and do it all over again best years of my life.. at least I still have this song song it takes me back to a simpler and sweeter time.. I so stressed out right now and this is helping me get through it the best it can for the most part. I'm drowning in my sleep
Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Now I live in NYC, Me and my friends used to listen to this drinking Rum at El Morro (a historic abandoned spain fortress ) when I was 17 years old. Now I'm 32 :( what's good fellow millennials? This shit still hits the spot

Same here. Great memories from 2003 come whenever I hear an Underoath song. Would love to see them again. The last Underoath show I saw is when they played with Thursday & Cursive. Fucking amazing line up.
This song is coming up on 20 years and it still holds up where so much of the music from this time has aged like milk. Awesome song then, awesome song now.
Met Dudley before when I used to do pest control like 15 years ago. Didn't even recognize him and I saw an underoath poster and was like tight, I like underoath... and he was like I'm in the band. He was super humble and cool. Even bigger fan. Chris you're the man!
The members of underoath don't like scream music either if you watch interviews. It's just because they're from Tampa which is basically the home of heavy music.
I was out hunting in the wilderness. I stopped. I had buck fever I said to myself. That’s a large Buck. I looked through my scope and it was underoath recording a video.
My brother went to school with half of hese peeps and he always tells me how sweet and awesome they were. He has numerous amounts of shirts they came up with growing up and I went to my first underoath concert when I was 8 with him, we still listen to them to this day ❤️
Just saw them in Tampa (their hometown). At their largest headlining show ever. Let me tell you, hearing that crowd @2:41 chant “drowning in my sleep”. The chills, oh the chills.
This song is an absolute banger. I remember seeing these dudes have to play their set twice back in the day in HOWN. I’m in my 30s still jamming Underoath because today’s music sucks!
Yugo Echo If I'm correct kappa means that it was sarcastic or something. So no. They just posted on Facebook a video with "rebirthiscoming" and it had backwards sound, and it sounded like a rerecorded version of "drowning in my sleep" but reversed.
I remember the old Underoath. Granted, they had VERY STRONG hints of religious efforts, but they had incredcible music. It felt so dark and eerie, but it also had really great stories behind it. I really miss the old Underoath....well, Underoath period, now. Especially since they broke up and moved on to new things.
It's a shame that this has such a little amount of views; Underoath is so underrated. But at the same time, I'm glad they never sold out and made some crap music to conform to everyone else.
Haha almost 27, going thru an even harder time with cancer, depression and schizophrenia… and a husband that get angry. But I hope, things will get better.
I remember as a kid listening to this song and it blew me away. This many years later, many years older, and it still blows me away. The nostalgia and feeling it evokes makes me legitimately sad.
Heard this for the first time when I was 12. Now I'm about to turn 27 and it's on repeat. Underoath is something special.

The best part about music
Seriously I had chills run through my entire body
Katherine German true
Katherine German Byzantine conduits in the brain. Check out waking life
I know in the Bible the Israelites used music to remember past events, so yeah it is crazy how that works

Cassandra Little yup!
no cuz this band is shit.
Cody Tisdale thanks for taking the time to go to a band's music video, (of which you don't like) and tell others that you don't care for this band.
if you are ever freezing and stranded on a mountain top have no fear, a metalcore band will be there recording their music video.

I never realized how dark and morbid this song was until listening to it without teenage angst and edgyness. Damn.
Wow, you're right. Killing himself and his love...crazy
I’ve always thought about it being your final moments, gripping to life. Until it’s finally it.... Class of 2007 lol 😂
Memories of staying up to see this and so many other awesome bands on Headbangers Ball on MTV2 back in 2005.
HEADBANGERS BALL BABY!!!! First place I saw underoath back in the day!! Love it!!
Headbangers ball?! Oh man that brings up some damn nostalgia! Wow, thank you!

Hang in there brother. Be strong
watching anime, music and games is the only way to escape in this fucking loneliness that i feel before..
Underoath, Bring me the Horizon, motionless in white, slipknot were my savior bands

This shit still hits the spot
I've been up at this all night long
I've been drowning in my sleep
I've prayed for your safe place
And it's time for us to leave
Time is running
Is running on empty and the gas is running out
I've decided that tonight is the night that I
Let love aside
Full speed ahead this seems to be the place
I've seen this once before
Planned perfection sought in my dreams
Hoping this would take you home
My knuckles have turned to white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time
Around this turn where
The cross will cast your shadow
The people will all gather
To remember such a day
Where the flames grew as high as trees
And the world stopped, it stopped
For you and me
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your eyes
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
So hold on tight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your
I will now bring new meaning to the word alone
Endless nights of dreaming of life
And the days we should have spent here
Drowning in my sleep
I'm drowning in my sleep
Drowning in my sleep
I'm drowning in my sleep
Glass shatters and comes to a halt
I thought we'd be there by now
I thought it would be so much quicker than this
Pain has never been so brilliant
I made sure you were buckled in
Now you can walk hand in hand
Hand in hand with him
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time (shut your eyes)
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight (so hold on tight)
So hold on tight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your

Found this CD literally in the floor of my school when I was like 14-15. I immediately fell in love with this song. I’m 25 and this still goes hard

Me arrepio toda vez que ouço essa música. Maior nostalgia
Happy birthday to this iconic song from an iconic album

Floridian Metal and Hardcore scene, Trivium also comes from Florida too I think. \m/ \m/
17 years ago my friend handed me a burned copy of this album, it doesn't play any longer, but I still keep it.

It looks like (from what they've said) a reunion tour, 10 years for "chasing safety" not that theyre getting back together.
I know!!!! I saw that they're going to be playing at self help festival and I flipped out because I didn't know they were back together! 😄
