- How to out, expose, sexual predators , sexual harassers in AA, Alcoholics Anonymous, One step at a time . What is a civil offense. What is a criminal Offense. No one should get harassed in a 12 step meeting when seeking help. Sadly this happens way too often. Alcoholics Anonymous, is AA safe.
Thank you for encouraging people to go to the police first if there has been a rape, assault, or any other major crime. A victim of sexual assault going to the police first prevents anyone in AA from talking them out of it, and that victim has the option of keeping that report secret while going through the process you describe. This will help stop the predator from hurting anyone else before going through the letter process and before starting a lawsuit.

Our district has a group text. We discussed this topic today. Our area had 2 work shops this month on safety. Your words are not falling on deaf ears.
Just dont go to AA and find a better way. Who wants to deal with all this drama. They all protect each other. I learned a lot about myself in AA and I am a better person for going but I am not hanging around for people to abuse, manipulate, lie and use sex as a weapon. In all my years in AA I hardly ever meet a friend. I tried to call someone recently who chairs meetings and is highly involved and was told that I was the problem. I was sexually harassed and exploited. There was a kid involved and I was worried for him so I eventually called CPS but I didnt have the mothers number nor her address. The kid is in danger. I did my part. AA is full of sexual weirdos. They seem to use sex as a tool, at least here. I am so glad I didnt take the bait and instead played the nice guy that I am. She works at the only store across from my house and keeps trying to hug me and ask to have my number again...and what can I do? I just avoid all of them.

13 step lingo is not used anymore in our area. It cutifys predatory behavior. My home group is hybrid and one night we had to shut off the video. Yes there's bizarre people in AA. But there's some very helpful people to.
Call the cops! Many meetings enable , overlook or blame the victim. Even if the victim is a child. The predatory behavior I’ve witnessed and called out is disgusting! The meetings protect them. Not the victims!
