I think what will most resonate with the wider audience is his admission that this all started by caring what other people thought of him. How many of us have done far from wise things because we wanted to be accepted, liked, respected. That's pretty much universal. Powerful video.
With wealth inequality increasing especially in London, I find it hard to see things improving anytime soon. The have's and have nots will always create jealousy or division. We need a fairer society across the board.
But that heavy hand she used caused him to fall even deeper in the streets. People need to understand that the delivery can cause a greater impact than the problem they are trying to solve💚💚
@@solkaress your right delivery matters but no amount of convincing a stop a determined knuckle head. There's nothing worse than being young and thinking you know everything. Ignorance can be deadly especially when it comes to crime.
@AllThingsConsideredUK Valid points all parents need to take into consideration. They can avoid implementing harsh treatment plans(boarding schools, juvenile boot camps, & conversion therapy) for delinquent behavior by doing so.
And you think he will listen Witt lightly delivery ? Been there and back…. Mad kids need soft and hard hand at the same times… if not for my fam I will never turn good
@oguntadeadekunle2158 I didn't say go lightly, just not as heavy. If you don't know how to manage children or talk to them in a way that allows them to receive the message, don't have them. Simple.
This was a beautiful interview to watch. I'm just glad that Kevin learnt his lessons and is now an inspiration to youngsters. I've read some comments criticising his mum for deceiving him to Africa, but his mum did it out of love clearly seeing the wrong choices he was making and how he was going astray at such a young age. His cousin must have thought he was helping him out in escaping from Cote d'ivoire, but his actions just made things worse and fast-tracked the doom Kevin's mum was trying to avoid.

Bringing kids to Africa to "chnage" them doesnt always work . For a kid thats alreayd hardened they need love and calmness not abuse . Training kids in africa is basically abuse i went to a horrible boarding house and in my 30s i still remember the horrors
1:45 i felt that too, when he started listing examples "kickers, new northface jacket" ... damn man i thought i left that all behind but they way he delivered it made me feel like i'm still that kid. I don't think people who haven't experienced that know the frustration, guilt and shame
I'm surprised this channel hasn't taken off more than it actually has done. The format is already established and popular, and you guys are doing it as well as anyone.
Holy hell. Two education systems have failed this young man. Hopefully he continues working towards ACTUALLY bettering himself instead of Hollywood's version of being better.
It’s incredibly sad how so many immigrants come to Europe, UK, US etc for a ‘better life’ and then their kids take it for granted and think they should be about the streets. Total waste of a life. Sad for any parents who have a kid who’s that selfish.
You didnt complete your sentencing in Africa that’s why you still came back hardened when you spend 6-10years here . Cold water will be poured on you fr ..
Interesting, i know a number of parents who send their children back and it is a turning point for the better. This is the first time i have heard of it having a negative effect.
What is the 37% from the 40% (you say would do what you did) based on re socioeconomic ? Your statistics don’t match you statement critical thinking is essential
??? What %?? He never said percent. He said they asked 40 ppl and 37 out of those 40 said yes. That's 37/40. Not 37%. It seems that you are the one who needs to use critical thinking 🤦

His mother tried to save him from the street life but he was too naive to understand that.

I promise you if his cousin haven’t brought him back .. he will value the little things his mom could give him in the uk
Did those horrors keep you in check?
Yes, violence desensitises and begets violence.

He really did 😭 he coulda left him there, not that the school was great but Danm
He thought bc he was British they would be lenient on him😂😂😂 Who told him.

Thank you very much! Fingers crossed…
This dude is smarter than I would've thought
If he felt he was a ganster..he had to practice that in Africa..the prisons would have changed him instantly
Hey can you guys put subtitles? Like proper ones. Thank you.
We love the transformation , and the journey that might lead young kids into the right path
As an African in the US, interesting perspective
Thanks for watching
Powerful opening
Pleased you thought so
You're changing lives man

0:44 to skip the annoying "preview" section and actually start the video.
Just forward 😂
It’s not annoying you just don’t have the capacity to understand quantitative research .
@@kemiosobukola2038 He's not talking about the clip content specifically. He's saying just start the video without the preview/promo in the beginning,
So glad I stumbled across this channel ❤
Thanks for joining!
Loved this interview.
Thanks!
Obviously his cousin used him, he went to collect him from Ivory Coast so he could use the young naive lad.

It is crazy. Good life breads weak men.
Anyone know where he’s from in London?
He has been vague but he is either from hackney or North London.
Respect 🫡 Kevin!!

even manz snopping up with go pro camera
That boarding school sounds better than those in US. Unfortunately you didn’t stay there long enough to see the benefits…
That bird half way through with the Swedish type accent defo narrated for LADbible!
Articulate young man with a good purpose. All the best to him.
Everyone with firearms in Ivory Coast ? Cap
Can you imagine what the mother was going through? Jeez. To birth a radical.
If I'm too have a son like this guy..let me never have a child ..I would bury myself
British ..I'm British not one of them sis ...too many black boys messed up in the head
Big up stick up my Brudda 💯🤲

❤️❤️❤️
When education is failed from ages 3-8 ,thats it .
shouldve ran to a uk embassy and said your in danger youd get a first class flight back in 48hrs
He was clueless at the time and how would he have even gotten to the embassy not knowing people and not speaking French?
It is not that easy in the slightest
@@edp-xo1on it really is
@@illiac123 maps search or ask police
@@edp-xo1on once u enter an embassy your on their turf e.g. once he steps foot in a uk embassy thats classed as uk soil
He’s definitely a sociopath. No rehabilitating his mindset; he’s bound to snap (again) and I’m sure he is violent at home. 20:59
Error how did you conclude such a thing
@@tee4048 Did you listen to a word he said? This is someone this is someone who is hard wired to apathy and degeneracy.

The cousin a real one !!!
The cousin led him on a path of destruction. Staying in Africa would have been better for him.
His cousin messed his life up
The entitlement God forbid I have a child messes up upstairs as him ...God forbid..nonsense ..start from not having a clean look...
