    I’ve known this man since I was 13 years old. I was one of the kids he influenced back then. Every single word he spoke is FACT. I’m proud to see where his mind is now. I’m happy to see him and his brother free. Praying for all my Norfside Inglewoodians.

    Locked away from society for 22 years at the age of 15, this man has transformed into such an intelligent and kindhearted being. I can feel his compassion and strive, and I hope he continue and never gives up. This man gives me hope for humanity, and that's a powerful thing.

    I grew up in Inglewood, Ca, and this man is speaking 100% facts. Keith and Kev names rang bells in the city, if you didn't know them personally, you definitely heard of them. They were they twin brothers that terrorized the city. So happy to see that Kevin (Kev) has complete remorse for his past behavior, even tho he was just a child. God bless you, continue on the right path, and great things will follow... The Wood supports you, and we're rooting for you... 🙏

      @@contentgenius3290 ..ohhhh its possible! There was a family in my neighborhood growing up ,many years ago. They had 2 boys,ages 11 and 14. They were TERRORS! always in trouble. You hated to see them coming. Everyone knew of these kids for all the wrong reasons.

    I am a mother who is going through the pain of her son being incarcerated. My son has been locked up for over 24 years and he sees the parole board today! I hope and pray that he has grown because I am tired and I know that he is also, but what makes me angry is when these prisoners decided to do the right thing and make the right decision once mom is dead. I hope my son don't do this because I would love to see him in society and spend some family time with his family.

      @@GoddessFoodFactory For some reason all the court papers weren't presented so he will hear a final decision in a week or two. He was able to plead for his release and present to the board how he has managed to further his education and be a productive person in society. Thank you so much for your concern!

    you hear people always reflecting on how their actions affected themselves, their families and friends, but you don't always hear someone repeatedly mention their victims, so i respect this man for acknowledging that.

    The clarity Kevin has about his situation is so powerful. The fact that he shows such remorse and is willing to take full responsibility for his actions speaks volumes about the strength of his personal character. Despite the life he led as a criminal, the seeds of love his mom planted in him as a child that may have been dormant for years, were there the whole time. I wish him the very best and hope that he is able to go forward and use his influence to help today's youth not face the same fate he did.

      I’ve known gang bangers, drug dealers, thugs and thieves personally. Some of my best friends. I tell you now, those “seeds of love” you talk about were present in almost every single one. It’s their humanity, and Kevin here is no outlier. He’s just old enough and wise enough to acknowledge and reflect on his actions with hindsight. Most of these kids don’t live past 21.
      The problem is that we as a society tend to view these people who are forced into these oppressive conditions at a young age and thereby conditioned by a vicious environment as less than human, less than capable of love, empathy and compassion. I’m gonna be honest here, racism plays a huge part in that.
      We like to think that we hold the higher moral ground over those less fortunate than us. “If I was in that situation, with that upbringing and those conditions” we think “I’d never do those awful things”. Not so. As living, thinking, learning human beings we only do what we know to do with the knowledge we have at the time. That’s why they say only God can judge, because as mortal beings of limited, finite knowledge, we can never truly cast fair judgement on someone without knowing their story and their struggles.
      When faced with the choice of right and wrong, many people have less of a say than you might think. So practice EMPATHY beyond all else.

I live in the deep south, where institutionalized racism runs deep, but many people refuse to believe it's even there. While I, thankfully, have never been racist because my momma taught me better, I used to have a much more callous view. I'd think, "Those criminals do the crime, let them do the time. It's their fault. If they want a better life, they need to get themselves one." Now, the older I get, I think, "But for the grace of God go I."

    When he lost his mother, he finally changed. That’s so touching and sad. I’m sure she was praying for him each day. She was rooting for him until the day she died, which is true motherly love.

    “I am a good man” yes, yes he is! I am grateful he sees that in himself! He said i put myself in prison and i got myself out. He realizes he has consequences and that his actions affects others! Yes his crime is heart breaking for the victim and family. It seems he realized he couldn’t go back and change the crime but he could make life better for others but changing him whither in prison or out! Thank you for sharing your story in turn, will save a lot of victims. I pray for settled hearts for the victims and his continued growth!

    I am very impressed with this young man. Could you give me more information on him and an update as to what and where he is now? This is a serious inquiry. His message is very much needed in the south and I would love to hear more on his stories so that I can share them. I have property that one day i want to make use for under privilege youth and by being in contact with a man such as this would be a blessing to all the young and misguided men. Thank you.

    I met Kevin yesterday when I was riding through skidrow passing out sack lunches with my lady. He stopped me and asked to look him up on RUclips and I couldn’t find it until later on after I pulled off from talking to him. He definitely has a aura about him that deserves to be seen and felt.     Childhood Story- I admire this man. The way he spoke and carried himself after physical and mental imprisonment is just so inspiring and frustrating. Frustrating being on the other end of this lifestyle. Having a parent sentenced to “life” in prison before I even had a chance to introduce myself to the world was a lot live through. In other words, mom was pregnant when he was sentenced to 22.5 to life. He was released (Thank God). I’m 29 & I booked my flight to see him for the first time (ever) outside of a prison. Though he was on lock, I was still able to have a good relationship the best way I could. I was an early reader (and writer), spoke on the phone and even stayed the night a few times (at the prison). I love my dad with all I’ve got. He, too, is completely rehabilitated. Owns his own store internationally & is living how many would call a vacation.
    I really hope to see an update on him. Better yet, INTERVENTION. Help him find a work, housing... a community? Someone hiring felons somewhere. A tent for starters? Praying for you man.

    He is very intelligent and articulate. He actually reminds me of Denzel Washington, the way he speaks and how he puts hie sentences together. It would be fantastic if he could get someone to help him get into some sort of counselling job where he goes and does speeches and work shops for and with kids at schools and that type of thing. Where they go and talk about their life experience like he's doing here to try to help kids choose a different path in life before its too late for them. God bless him 💜

    I've been watching these today then I heard Kobe Bryant died and see all the mourning going on and and all I can think is how much more sad I feel for these people. It is a tragedy no doubt but he had a great life, a life full of love and good things that most of us will never experience. Rip to everyone who passed on that plane including Kobe and his daughter, he was a great athlete, a good man and role model but tragedies happen every day. To all my brothers and sisters, I pray one day we will find peace, love and happiness, stay strong everybody.

      @@xavierrainey8747 I think he is saying that Kobe Bryant was very fortunate and blessed and talented and was able to live a happy healthy life and do what he loved before his death. But some people never get that opportunity because of their family, their environment or the choices they make. They may not have that support or strength. They may have made that one choice that ruined or fulfilled their destiny.

    Kids just dont understand how bad they hurt their parents when they commit crimes and do horrible things. Parents spend their life building for their children and it's a slap in the face when they go out into the world and do terrible things. It makes the parents question why are they even here on earth!?! If it wasnt for your children you would have nothing to live for or to work so hard for. He is taking accountability for his actions and I love this! I wish I knew how to get in contact with him, I have 2 boys who need to hear his story face to face. I already lost one son for being disobedient smh not doing what I told him to do resulted in a consequence of death at 11 years old and that turned my family upside down and has not been the same since.

      If you in the warehouse its easy to buck. I was in the station for a year. I left came back to get my money up. I'm in the warehouse. I leave after 8hrs and do ot when I want. I'm leaving again this summer to work on my own business. They try to run you into the ground and think they can talk to you any kind of way. Easy job easiest warehouse i ever had. It's the damn ppl. Alot ass kissers telling u it get better after you become regular

    Another victim of poverty! Brother, you’re a motivational speaker! I’m proud of you.You need a book deal! Locked away as a kid and learning how to live as a man. Square 1 means there is no where to go but up. You get a fresh start. You can write your book so please go to the library and use the computer and start writing. You can publish your book online. You are wide awake now! Real woke! You are a victim of poverty and negative role models so the gang was your best option because most single mothers cannot raise alpha males like you! It takes a strong man to raise an alpha. You were just another strong male who needed a real man/role model in his household. That was your past. Keep rising up! Society cannot hold your spirit down.

    This guy is sharp. Having to do all that time in prison was actually a blessing for him. His perspective on what he's done and what is right and wrong is now correct. Agree with everyone else, he needs to be an inspirational speaker and mentor.

    I absolutely loved this interview! To see his growth mentally & spiritually is inspiring. He should look into being a mentor, public speaker, anything with the youth. He would be an amazing asset to any youth organization. Praying for his continual growth. If I find out about any opportunity for him, I will be back to share it.
