Both are just great. I wasn't too excited about the UCS Landspeeder. But, once I started seeing reviews, and just how well it is designed I thought; well that's just awesome. So now I got both side by side. And I'm super pleased.
One thing not mentioned is that the play-scale landspeeder fits perfectly with the MBS Mos Eisley Cantina set. Completely unrelated, but how’s the housing hunt going? Looking forward to seeing the future dedicated Lego Studio. We were considering moving to Orlando (bigger city, theme parks, good schools, and not too far from the water to kiteboard) from Charleston, but the market is more insane than here. Which Is nuts considering my little 1200 sq ft home has gone up to over half a million.
I agree with most people's sentiment, the UCS landspeeder is cool and all but they've released so many of variations its not really exciting to see released again even with the detailed minifigs.
Landspeeder is my most favourite vehicle in Star Wars, but I lack of budget and room to collect the UCS version before…. Luckily, I saw a nice price of this in a retail shop some days ago, I decide to take it home after watching your comparisons, many thanks for your movie. 😊
I had little interest in the UCS landspeeder until I saw it in person. It's much more substantial than the pictures seemed to convey to me. It has a real presence to it.
the piece on front is antenna for the nav computer on board. I'm not sure what information did it give to the pilot, probably a position on the map but I'm not sure if the tech on X-34 was that "advanced" or if it needs a working satelite on orbit, maybe just a poor man's motion tracker
Starting to wish i hadn’t came across this channel...now i got a problem with buying legos haha just kidding i really love watching your videos, keep up the good work!
I've had the 8092 land speeder for years... I finally grabbed 75271, and it arrived 5 days before the UCS land speeder was announced. You can never have too many land speeders.
I’ve never been a UCS guy, so I have some bias, but I like the smaller model. I feel like they did a great job on the UCS one, but the smaller one is just better over all in my opinion.
I really appreciate the ucs sets. I own 4-5 of them now and the models are unbeatable but I wish they had more figures. I own the ucs landspeeder but I wish it came with r2d2 and Ben kenobi
There are a few little details that are missing from the UCS model that was represented in the movie. Like the gun holder, and storage that I feel like the UCS model should have had to be more accurate considering the price and that it is UCS.The 1977 toy had storage and a wiring sticker in the front and I don't know if that is accurate or not to the movie.
One other good thing for the display side of the smaller model is that it displays seamlessly with the mbs Mos eisley cantina. Also: Afew months ago I got a great deal on the smaller set, I got the complete set + an extra Jawa, the current old Ben kenobi figure and two tuskens raders all for just barely more than retail price.
I don't think we've ever seen a minfigure that checks EVERY box for detail, custom mold, duo molding, arm printing, side leg printing, besides this new C-3PO
I will definitely be getting the UCS model at some point, maybe closer to Christmas. I'm still working on the UCS R2D2 I got for May the 4th this year, since it'll be retired soon.
Hey I’m planning on getting back into collecting and displaying lego what lego Star Wars sets do you recommend that aren’t super pricey but still are going to look nice as a display.
Just getting away from Star Wars for a moment i am curious what you think of the Goat Boat set ? . I just picked this up today and the mini figures are amazing.
I have both the smaller 2020 Landspeeder is great for the money! I've yet to open the UCS landspeeder box and build it up but when I do I know I will like them both just as much as each other as they both have there own individual strengths and weakness etc.
I wonder if black series figures will be in scale with the ucs Luke’s landspeeder. Also I totally appreciate getting to see old unlisted mandr vids this is gonna be great because I am invested in the continuity of this channel lmao

Yeah i did get it but i also wish Lego would bring out a UCS Micro range of products. I would love to see what the engineers come up with :). I am actually really impressed with the Dioramas and hope they do a lot more of those.
i like the new ucs landspeeder but it's like too expensive but the 20 dollar landspeeder is less expensive than the ucs one note:no hate to the other land speeders I like both designs it's just that the ucs landspeeder is just bigger than the 20 dollar one
LOL this is almost like buying a Ford Mustang and then buying the hot wheel's version and then doing a comparison review on them to tell which one is better.
Eh. I don't think it's proper to compare a play-scale set to a UCS model. They're two completely different markets (play-scale going after kids who want a toy, UCS going after adults who want a dedicated display piece). I think a more proper comparison, for this kind of video, would be the same as the other play-scale sets (like the Saber tank, the AT-TE, the TIE Bomber vids). If this sounds contradictory to what I've said before, let me clarify: For an independent review of a single set, like the _Scimitar_ set from 1999, I don't think it's fair to compare the old version to the new version. It should be judged on its own merits, with only its contemporaries as valid comparisons. For a video displaying the evolution of a set via redesigns that have hit shelves over time, _then_ it becomes slightly more justifiable to compare vintage with modern.
The Falcon is a ship they definitely want to have on the market at all times so as soon as the Episode 9 one retires we should see another in a year or two at most

when you showed luke and c3po in the UCS speeder i was so confused by that 'new luke hair-piece'

The $30 landspeeder looks great with the MBS Cantina, so I would definitely recommend it for that.

I’m so glad I got the 3 in 1 Walmart pack that included the Luke’s Landspeeder after you recommended it. Truly a great deal
