In this video, Matt show's how to remove the rear bumper on the 2018 - 2020 S550 Mustang. It's not difficult but is time consuming. A clean work area is a must.

Thanks bro' great video. I have a 2019 Ecoboost that I need to remove the rear bumper cover from in order to have it repaired and re'painted. Removing it myself is gna save me about $1,000 according to my autobody tech.

As ever you make it look easy Matt .... so there's a pretty big gap now around those 'single' tailpipes on each side :)
Better get some GT mufflers to fill em in. 😉
Thanks for the video and info. My rear bumper seem to have gaps so trying figure how to tighten it up a bit
Loosen the hardware around the taillights and around the left and right wheel wells. Tighten from the center out in equal steps. That *should help with the gaps.
@@MustangsbyMatt after watching yohr video I didn't notice the screws under the rear tails and seeing the others. I'll be checking it out this weekend
Helpful video, I needed access to the bash bar. I also noticed we in the UK don't have an emergency trunk release on the inside of the lid.
I’m glad you found it helpful. As tough as the Euro NCAP standards are, that’s strange to not have the release. Are you sure it isn’t tucked away behind the panel?

It really does look better. There might be some small differences but overall it should be the same thing.

@@MustangsbyMatt only difference is the 2018+ has two extra screws below taillights and the bracket underneath has to be changed to fit. All in all straight forward, video helped a tons. Thanks.

Hello, what part needs to be modified on the bumper supports? I have a 2017 mustang phase 1 and I am installing a rear bumper from mustang phase 2 2018-2022. on my 2017 mustang I don't have the fixing screws under the rear lights. Doesn't it matter for the assembly of the 2018 bumper that there are no retaining screws?
