Another ship to add to my list. I'm 71 and I don't have enough time to try the dozens of ships across all Cruise lines. I guess I'll still be cruising when I'm 98.
Thank you for sharing your adventure. It was fun to see you figure things out and find your way on this new ship. It reminds me of how I feel each time we cruise 😊
loved the video as we do sail princess off and on. enjoyed the video and the smiles on your faces. recovering from breast cancer surgery so this gave me some fun and dreaming time. hopefully to resume cruising after good recovery. thank you for the happy video...love you guys
Ship is beautiful! I watching all these Princess videos to see how you compare it to other Cruise lines, Jamie, you drinking those dirty martini's, my favorite drink, but, I order extra extra dirty!
When was this sailing? We embarked on the Celebrity Reflection Monday October 14 and saw the Sun at port! Can’t wait until January to sail on the Sun for our fifth Princess cruise. Keep up the great work Sharon and Jaime!
We love Princess. Maybe 17 cruises with them. I've been on the old Sun Princess two times. But this is new! You're going to love it! Princess used to serve shrimp cocktails every night even if it's not on the menu. And fettuccine alfredo option every night. It is divine and a small portion. Have a great time!
Brings back memories of my solo 2001 Golden Princess cruise, I ordered many room service Croque Monsieur sandwiches 😊 very good! Met some nice people on that trip too.
Hey Sharon and Jaime, wishing you both the very best on your 1st Princess Cruise! Take in all that there is, ..... food, entertainment, Ports of Calls, the service (No cooking, cleaning or laundry), ..... the smiles, the laughter and more!! QUESTION: DOES THE CASINO HAVE "dedicated" Non-Smoking and Smoking areas?? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work! 😎⛹️♀️🤸♂️🚴♂️
Great video - that hotel is where we always stay when crusing out of Port Everglades...we usually take the train from Orlando to FLL and then just a short walk to the hotel.
@@SharonatSeaTravel I have a big favor to ask. Could you video or take photos of the Crown Grill, Rudi's and America restaurant menus. It seems like they were different menus than on other Princess ships at least in Europe. We will be on next month and are trying to figure out if we should upgrade to the new premiere. We have the old premiere. Also is the sushi restaurant open for lunch? Thank you so much.
Yes, we saw Sushi open for lunch. We actually cruised last week, but we did go to the Crown Grill and Rudi's for dinner and the Americana for lunch..watch for those vlogs in the next week or two and you should see all of those menus. Thanks for watching!!!
Yes, but what's funny is there were no directions anywhere near any elevators that we saw that actually gave that instruction. We've seen it on a few other ships.cruise lines, but not on Sun Princess.
Great video on many levels! As always, the content was informative and presented in an entertaining manner throughout the production! The quality of the video picture is superb! Like HD on my mediocre PC screen! And the editing was awesome, the fast forward in parts AND the text that was added looked very good! I suspect there has been some equipment upgrades! Perhaps it was the technology, art and fancy elevators on the ship or the fancy food in the beautiful MDR...naw! You guys have made a fantastic video review of your Princess experience! Thanks for sharing and thanks for all you do for us!! 😎😎😎
Just a question about the Safety Video. Aren't stateroom TVs already tuned to the Safety Channel when you get to your room, and if not, was there any instruction in the room, in regards to the muster drill containing two parts? Royal usually has a two part muster drill, but they let you watch all the videos on the phone app before you get to the port.
Great question...I recall the tv on with a welcome screen, but we didn't actually turn it on from there( actually you can see it in our cabin tour video)..also don't recall a watch the video reminder at the muster station, but could be wrong. We've done tons of musters and watched the video either prior to, or on, the cruise ship, but for whatever reason, we just totally forgot about the video part before the announcement came on from the Cruise Director. Thanks for watching!!!
We were going to try that, but there were complaints on the cruise that it was taking in excess of an hour and some said they never even got their food. Plus, we don't usually stay anywhere over an hour. lol Thanks for watching, and the feedback.
@SharonatSeaTravel Hopefully, the problems stem from it being the 1st revenue cruise in North America. We have only had minor delays over a number of Princess cruises. I hope that you and hubby enjoy yourselves.
Yikes, the booming noise everywhere! Was it that LOUD all the time or just late at night? Are there any quiet public areas to sit and relax at night? We might end up having room service a lot -- it just cancel and book a different ship.
Are those normal portion sizes for entrées on princess ships? I’m petite, but I would have to order two or I’ll have to eat again in a few hours 😂 I don’t know how ppl survive on that little food 😏
Right..we thought that too!!! From what we heard, it was much more of a party vibe than other ships..many regular Princess cruisers were not fans of the ship. Thanks Timothy!!!
On embarkation day there’s always a dining room serving lunch. OMallys opens at 4pm for food. International cafe is always good for a sandwich and snacks.
Yes, the Soleil dining room was only open from 11:30 to 1pm. (We only got on the ship at 12:30) O'Malley's was open 12-2 for lunch and when we got there just before 2..it would have taken forever, so we settled for the Eatery buffet. Thanks for watching!!!
You could also watch it on your phone in the app after looking in to your account. We watched ours on our phone whilst eating or sitting around waiting for the stateroom…it syncs up with the server.
We were on the same sailing...just down the hall from you. We also had a great experience! Booking one for spring now!
Another ship to add to my list. I'm 71 and I don't have enough time to try the dozens of ships across all Cruise lines. I guess I'll still be cruising when I'm 98.
We were right in front of you guys to go to the Soleil! We also sat right by you at The Catch but were too shy to say hi!
Well, you better say hi next time!!!! lol

Thank you Tonya..we hope you can get back to cruising soon.
Great review! Sharon looked either tired or toasted at the end but maybe both. The first day is always exhausting.
Exhaustion for sure..it was a long day!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Ship is beautiful! I watching all these Princess videos to see how you compare it to other Cruise lines, Jamie, you drinking those dirty martini's, my favorite drink, but, I order extra extra dirty!
I was on deck five aft and had dining at Soleil, had to learn to go up to 7 the go aft and down the stairs to six. crazy layout
That was great! So glad you liked the first day and your dinner. 😊
We're traveling on the Sun Princess in January - your video made me even more excited for the adventure to begin 🎉
Thanks Ann!!!
Wow ,fun watching you on this ship, great info

Hi Sharon & Jamie! Sun Princess looks like an amazing ship! Great job..as always..vlogging your boarding day. Sharon..I love your jumper! Hugs!
Thanks Deb!!!
Lucky Ducks!! Looks so fun, good looked great.
Your medallion can "get me there." Put in your destination, and you can ask the medallion for directions.
Love how bright the room is!

Shrimp cocktail is always on the menu on Princess
❤ looking forward to your next video! ❤
Newly subscribed. I enjoyed this video. Thanks.

No dedicated non-smoking area..and yes, it was quite smoky in there..especially during the busier evening hours.
Nice touch with the eccentric music. 🎶
Thanks guys!!!
glad you liked Princess
Great video - that hotel is where we always stay when crusing out of Port Everglades...we usually take the train from Orlando to FLL and then just a short walk to the hotel.
We will definitely stay there again!! Thanks for watching!!!
What hotel do you recommend for Fort Lauderdale?
Great video. Love your music choices.
Thanks!!!!

Hi, great job. I myust ask,, how easy was it to get cold bottled water? We drink a lot of cold water and like to bring it back to the room. Thank you
@larrys2554 it was easy. When we asked for water, it was always cold.
You need to push the elevator for the number of people, i.e. push deck 7 2x for a couple.
Yes, but what's funny is there were no directions anywhere near any elevators that we saw that actually gave that instruction. We've seen it on a few other ships.cruise lines, but not on Sun Princess.
You must have realized the Muster Drill could never be as simple as just checking in at you station?

Love that shirt Jaime On night one
We enjoyed the Sun Princess but much prefer the royal class ships or the older ones.
@@susanbarnett761 We heard many onboard say the same thing...
Did you have to Cary bags on ship? No porters?
They had porters, but we took a carry on with us onto the ship. Thanks for watching!!

Yes you can run it on the app on your phone once aboard.....like while you are at lunch
For future, you can also order food to your location with your medallion.

That was so cool!!!!
Dec 9 for us! My second.
Enjoy!!!

Most the portions were on the smaller side during our cruise, but we never went hungry since there was so many venues to check out around the ship.
surprising...thought there would be an older crowd for it being Princess
Right..we thought that too!!! From what we heard, it was much more of a party vibe than other ships..many regular Princess cruisers were not fans of the ship. Thanks Timothy!!!

Steven!!!
Food portions look very small. The cabin looked beautiful.
Then order two
Alfredo's lunch service was super fast
We went for dinner one evening and the food was great!!!
112 more days……😊
I have a xmas cruise booked Dec 21-28 going with my son(he's 19) How's the vibe for 18-21? Any comedy show?
You will have a blast..yes to comedy and other fun stuff for your age group.

How do they know if you are actually watching the video though.
You have to watch it in your cabin and it shows you have completed the task..thanks for watching!!!

You should have gone to the main dining room.
We got on the ship at 12:30..the MDR closed at 1pm for lunch. Bummer!!!
On your cell phone. If you’re using. Will give you exact directions to your location.
