    I apologize for the late upload, I should have been working on a video but I was busy practicing with my *potentially new main 3x3*, which is why this video had to come out right away. I really had no expectations for it after seeing the ridges, but I sort of like the feel. For performance, I don't think it really does anything though.
    Also I didn't mention anything about the new tensioning system. I'll make a new video about it if I find it very useful, but I find that customizing a 3x3 is too much of a hassle since they're always great out of the box. That's it, have a great day!

    I bought this cube a while ago and I agree with you completely. It's very flexible, fast, yet it is stable, owing to the very strong magnets and (I assume) overall design (this cube is "heavy" for a 3x3 but not in a bothersome way). It performs amazingly.
    However, this puzzle is loud. It's the only remotely negative thing I have to say about the GTS3M.

    Also, thank you so much for your amazing tutorials! With your tips and tricks for F2L, Cross, and 3x3 in general, I'm now averaging consistently high 11 and low 12. I started watching your videos a few months ago when I was averaging around 40 seconds (I even learned intuitive F2L from you!) and your videos still help me today. Djpiper28 A lot of Chinese shops (cubezz, AliExpress, lightake, ...) have free/cheap shipping combined with very low prices for the puzzles, with the biggest problem being that their shipping is slow, but I found out that lightake has a more expensive shipping option which is affordable (~$10 extra, but the cheap prices kind of compensate that).

So this one is up at the top right now for me. This is my main. And I got mine on Amazon for 30$ . Great cube I like it. Hey, J Perm, I have some questions, not related to the video. Now I average about 20 seconds. I know full OLL and PLL. I do F2L in 6-7 second. Usually I don't make pauses in it. I execute OLL and PLL algorithms in ~2 seconds. But... I have a problem with cross. I can do it in 8 moves or less, but sometimes I spend on it even 6-7 seconds (because of bad fingertricks and up to 3 rotations) + big pause between it and F2L (I'm working on that pause). My questions are:
    1) How to practise cross/scramble fingertricks? When I am scrambling the cube, I make 1 move then regrip e.g. R2, regrip, F2 instead of R2' F2 instantly. Do I have to find them all myself or have you got any tips for me?
    2) What does "drilling algorithm" mean? Just repeating it over and over again?
    3) How do you memorize cross solutions? Do you remember letters like " D F D' " or do you just imagine moves?
    Pretty funny. I avg 20 seconds but when I use pre-made cross I'm even sub-12...
    Sorry for any mistake in English!
    Thank you and happy cubing!
    Michael 'Eight'

    • @JPerm
      @JPerm  6 лет назад +4

      1. scrambling doesn't matter, but do it enough times and you'll probably start reading multiple moves at once and link them together. for cross, every cross is so different that you just have to experiment with how to grip the cube when you start, and see which way works out best.
      2. yes but make sure you're doing good finger tricks (reducing regrips)
      3. I visualize piece movements and convert it into hand movements in my head. definitely do not think about letters

      Dhruv Arora I bought it about a week ago and I'm happy with it, but if the GTS 4 M came out tomorrow I wouldn't buy it cause it will take a bit of time before the reviews come out and you opinion to form.
      If you buy the gts 3 m it won't disappoint and it's also a safe bet because you already know the cube unlike the gts 4 m which still is anonymous.

    I started watching your videos recently and decided to get myself a new cube since most of mine are ether lost or broken. Been using my Bros cube because of that. So I chose to get the weilong gts3m cause it looked like a good budget fancy cube. Then I wondered what does J-perm think of this cube? Cause i am already in love with it! J-perm~"Yeah it'll probably be my new main." XD Well I guess it was a good buy! Lol

    Can you please tell me how do you do the last part of your videos? I mean the place where you thank your patreons, like they going up and up, just the way it happens in the end of a movie. Which animation do you use for it and the video editor name as well.
    And for the graph part, do you use Photoshop itself?

    Guys the ridges on it aren’t that bad. They don’t affect me much when I’m solving and they help me turn fast without dropping it or losing grip. I honestly don’t get why people hate the ridges but please tell me why.

      By the way, do you think just like tech cubes have been progressively getting better and better or maybe they still have compromises?

    • @JPerm
      @JPerm  6 лет назад

      they have been getting better on average, not every cube that comes out is worth it though.

    • @JPerm
      @JPerm  6 лет назад +3

      this one corner cuts better and is more flexible, which is good or bad depending on you. cubes nowadays are so good that you don't really HAVE to switch, but a new feel can help sometimes. it's up to you

      I like the GTS3M a lot more on the out of the box tensions and spring compression. I got so used to it that the GTS2M even feels slow.

    Hey J Perm.Can you answer two questions?First,does lube change the corner cutting?And if it does,did you set your gts3m?That's because mine has some catching issues on the reverse corner cutting and normal corner cutting,I even tried loosening,but it didn't work so well.Oh but just testing,on solves it doesn't feel that this problem makes the cube lock up,but it's still strange.Also nice video!!!

    I consinder to get the GTS3 as my first speed cube. Would you recommend it for a speedcubing-beginner? (I've been normaly cubing since a while on a general Rubiks Cune). And second question: Is it easier to switch from a fast cube to a slow one or from a slow to a fast?
    Btw, i really appreciate your videos. Easy to follow and great stuff to learn.

    I love this cube, but I've been having quite an issue with corner twists. I'd say it happens once ever 40-50 solves. I like the screw and spring tensions where they're at, but willing to try tightening. Is there anything you recommend to help with this?

      SM is more stable but I feel like it doesn't corner cut quite as well. it's a tradeoff and both cubes are really good so it's up to you

    This was my second cube, first being rubiks. I really wanted to get a new cube when I started, and my birthday was coming up, so I went all out. Working towards sub-35.
    However, I feel like while I really enjoy the cube, it is very clacks how I have it. Everything else is amazing, but I’ve been looking into the valk 3 magnetic as my next. Any input?
