TOWSLEY CANYON LOOP TRAIL 5.1 MILES

This hike is my favorite "go to" "home" hike. I do this hike more then anyplace in Santa Clarita where I live. This hike has some challenging features. This video is a hike in the clockwise direction which the majority take the counter clockwise route. It has an elevation gain of about 1075ft. The top of the trail is at 2450ft. The first mile is a steady incline until you take the right up the steep incline where you ascend fast. This hill is why many of my friends take the other route. After the Monster Incline it is a steady hard climb to the top where you start your Descent just around the 2 mile mark. You will encounter amazing views, geological rock features, and even some tar pits. You will get to what they call the 'narrows", a slot canyon with cool features and even some water. I enjoy this hike as my everyday workout and love to challenge my speed and time. I use to be able to do this hike/ run at 58 minutes. My average is around 1:12. there is a good amount of shade but take plenty of water for this one. Enjoy and comment below with any questions!
