As a kid I missed out on getting a Twin Twelve and always regretted it. I just got this pedal in my rig and couldn't be happier. I love how it sounds and looks. Thanks for making this.

Classic - thanks for making a unique tonal signature accessible. This pedal has a place that it can't be bunted from... monster tone shaper for my amps: lo-fi to surf through to guts 70's rock. F**king love it. You gotta own playing to make this baby's sing.

Such a rad pedal! I need one of those. I play through an early 60's Silvertone 1481 for most everything in my studio. It was my first real amp, way back in '95, and I still use it everyday. Bet this pedal would sound great through it!

I have a 1484 twin twelve that my dad bought brand new in 1963, and I starting using it in 1983, when I was 15 yo. I'm 54 yo now (born in 68) and I have never changed the speakers out, nor have I even replaced a tube in all these years!
Still works perfect! (Occasionally a little scratchy turning the knobs but no dead spots on pots.)
I didn't realize until today that it is kind of a big deal to own one of these in perfect condition. Your video was part of the rabbit hole I went down researching whether the amp was a 60W amp as many people claim, but for some reason my dad always called it a 100W. Many other people, including guitar places selling them also call them 100W.
So which is it? I'm confused on this one point. All I know is that the sound is great.

I have to say while owning some pedals from Jackson Audio. I didnt really like the previous Jackson Audio pedals like Golden Boy, Broken Arrow. But the 1484 Silvertone really turned me around! It's my main go to lead sound in my current setup, loving it so much!

One of the guitar players in the band I'm in bought this pedal and it sounds incredible. I always equated 1484 to the AMC Rebel or the Javelin: looks homely and nondescript but will give you a black eye when you hit the GO button.

I love the pedal. The way that I use mine is that I have a carvin v3 which on it's own can sound amazing. But what I do is I run my pedal board like I normally would and last in line is this pedal which runs into the effects loop return, straight into the power amp. It's like I have a whole new amp that I dial in on this pedal, which is really simple. So I have that sound to a degree, and I can just use the master volume on the V3 as high or low as I want, it still seems to have the sound. With a rat in front of it, it's massive. Thanks. It's like I have this old amp, but I don't have to worry about beating on it.

My cousin gave me a Sears 10xl amplifier (same as Silvertone 1421) that belonged to his late father. Run a Marshall BB-2 into the front end and got the tone I've been looking for for 30yrs. This new pedal would eliminate my need to find a 2nd 10xl.

Really cool. I myself have the actual amp and cabinet, but will probably get the pedal to put on my other amps. Question though, when you say you got with or collaborated with Silvertone, how was that possible. Silvertone is out of business, which was actually a Sears product brand they made, well with the help of Danelectro acutely making the amps.

Love the whole concept of the 1484, I wasn't aware of Jackson Audio but I'm in love with this pedal. I'm curious, could you use the 1484 straight to a DI (or even a PA) for an ampless rig? I'd like to see this pedal's performance in that arena!

In 1966, one of my best friends received a Silvertone Twin Twelve amp for Xmas. I was playing through a used ($100) Fender Deluxe at the time. I thought the Silvertone had a dead sounding Reverb compared to the shimmering Fender Reverb, an average Tremolo, and an overall dull tone. I’m as nostalgic as the next guy, but I regarded this amp as a dud compared to all of the better amps of the era by Fender, Gibson, Ampeg, Vox, Kustom, Sunn, and many others.
The Silvertone was at the bottom of my list, and it was sold only at Sears in the same store location (basement) as the bicycles and lawnmowers. Im sorry to say that no one wanted one of these amps back then with all of the better choices available.

    • @paulcowart3174

The verb and tremolo on them yes we're awful Back then Fender had amps covered for sure The so to say "lo-fi" tone is all the rage these days I had one in the 90's and have to say it was the best natural sounding distortion this side of Marshall With my LP I never needed or used an overdrive or distortion pedal I played in a southern rock and blues band so never needed anything over the top Probably one of my most favorite got always of amps and guitars Just ordered one so we shall see Supposedly can be used as a straight to PA system pedal too Happy Holidays man

@@paulcowart3174 Thank you for this posting. In the music world there is always room for a plurality of opinions, and no manufacturer has a lock on the best tone. It’s always been the responsibility of the musicians to choose what gives them the tone that they’re chasing, and I’m grateful for all of the wonderful equipment that has become available since the beginning of amplified guitars. If you’re happy with your rig it’s all good.
