I have two Irish Wolfhound puppies currently. This is my second time owning an Irish Wolfhound. They're going to be 9 months pretty soon. They're about 5'4, almost exactly the height of my 13 year old daughter.

We are proud owners of a puppy since 1 and a half months and we've been watching your videos back and forth for over 3 months. Thanks to you our beagle is so well trained and behaved! The trainers in the puppy play date classes are so surprised - because beagles 'are so hard to train' and whatnot. Their classes did nothing compared to what your videos taught us! (we still go there for socializing ;) ) Would love to see you work with a beagle puppy in a video. Also - our dog walks really well on leash when we walk away from our house, BUT when we walk towards home, he starts pulling like crazy (even though he cannot see the house). Maybe it's because he wants to get to his dinner/breakfast faster. What do you think? Is this a common problem others are facing, too? Greetings from Germany!
don't all puppies bite in the beginning? ours does that too, but it gets less every day if you keep saying 'ouch', stop playing when he does it or give him something else to chew on. I heard that labs do it more than others ...but I'm by far no expert. Just don't be angry at the dog! He needs you to teach him what's right and wrong. how should he know?

My old corgi has never mastered the 'drop it' when playing. I use this technique usually, but it still doesn't work consistently enough to teach him, sometimes I do other things too which occasionally works. Getting the toy again isn't rewarding enough, and If I get food out he completely forgets about the toy (even if it's his favourite toy and a low value crappy treat) My staffy puppy is AWESOME at drop/let go. He is really good at it. :-)

Great video! Can you do one showing how to teach your pet how to share toys? My dog is an only pet, and although he's extremely dog friendly, he's not good at the park with sharing toys or playing tug with other dogs. It would help tremendously!
A wolfhound’s currency is food.. they’re extremely food motivated. And the easiest dog I’ve ever trained , you’d only have to show him what you wanted a couple times and he had it down.. lost him this past January I miss him more than any human I’ve ever lost..

Our rescue seems to be identical wo the Irish wolfhound. He is smaller at 6 months though maybe 50lbs. What is he likely mixed with? He is more challenging to train other than sit/down. He is super chill though unlike his large puppy older sister lab mix.
I have a cocker spaniel named Kia. She is shy but She likes everybody in our family except my Dad. and when people come over she barks at them and cowers but after a bit she usually warms up. she especially doesn't like men. Dad has a black briefcase that even if I carry it around she stays away from me. We think she might have gotten hit by one when she was a puppy. When Dad comes home from work he has his briefcase and a big black coat on and a black hat. She starts barking and growling and usually hides under the table or by me. but some days she will go to Dad and ask to be let up on the couch and when he lets her up she snuggles with him. But she always barks and hides when he gets home. She usually doesn't bark or cower when she is somewhere that she doesn't know. And we are not sure how to get her used to Dad and other people.

Zak my 11 month old Thai rescue pup keeps putting on the brakes when on walk, I have tried to lure her and reassuring her, but she just won't go. When the brakes go on she often stop for several minutes. If I put any pressure on the leash to encourage her to move she pulls the opposite direction still planted in the same spot. I've tried to analyze the situation to figure out what makes her stop, e.g. Something distracting, but she just stares blankly in a specific direction. Help!
How about a video to get your dog to let you trim their nails and brush their teeth? It's always easy doing these things with my smaller dog, but my much larger dog absolutely hates being messed with in any way and puts up MAJOR resistance, it's always chaotic and super stressful when trying to do either of those things :(

I've always wanted to train dogs. I recently decided to join a group that trains dogs. But it turns out we need a dog for it (i don't have one) we thought that it was training random dogs. ;-;
Any tips on how to get a dog to play if they don't like any type of toy? Even toys like kongs don't entice mine. We bought a indestructible toy and now she won't play with anything.
She doesn't really play anymore. Sometimes she enjoys being chased, but that's about it. Getting down on the floor and "playing" doesn't get a reaction out of her, besides her coming up to me and sniffing me to see if I'm alright. The only enjoyment she seems to get is from walks and pulling me on my longboard. I just wish I could offer her more while we are at home.
project25012 Alright. She's never been one to gooble down her food. She takes mouthfuls throughout the day. She is extremely food motivated when it comes to treats though. It made her very easy to train her. In fact, it's the only reason I got her to play fetch. It's not a game to her. She will only do it for treats.

6 weeks is way too young to bring a puppy home. You probably have a logical reason, but you should talk to your vet about special needs for young pups that are taken away from their mom. I would wait until 8 weeks to start walking, and don't walk for too long because it can ruin their joints as they are still growing. As for biting, when she bites you, simply take away your finger, and replace it with something she can chew on (like a toy)

The only enjoyment she seems to get is from walks and pulling me on my longboard. I just wish I could offer her more while we are at home.

project25012 Alright. She's never been one to gooble down her food. She takes mouthfuls throughout the day. She is extremely food motivated when it comes to treats though. It made her very easy to train her. In fact, it's the only reason I got her to play fetch. It's not a game to her. She will only do it for treats.

so I want to ask that when I try to walk with her on leash she stop walking.
And another question is that she love bitting so how should stop this.

6 weeks is way too young to bring a puppy home. You probably have a logical reason, but you should talk to your vet about special needs for young pups that are taken away from their mom. I would wait until 8 weeks to start walking, and don't walk for too long because it can ruin their joints as they are still growing. As for biting, when she bites you, simply take away your finger, and replace it with something she can chew on (like a toy)
