I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S put on my 991. Loving ‘em so far! Feeling much more connected to the road compared to the 6 year old Pirellis that came stock on my car. Plenty of grip for everyday driving. Of course NEW tires makes a big difference no matter the brand. Always a great day when you hit the road with fresh rubber on all corners!
you prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Titan Austin I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Was really impressed until at about 17.15 when the adjustable spanner came out then later when working over the front wing without any protection on it. Lovely looking car.
Takes me back about a year when I brought my 991 with center lock wheels into the "regular" tyre shop. That made them scratch their noggin' a bit lol...
My friend, you can only judge the width with both tires mounted believe me it makes a difference, the tires sink in or stretch depending on the width of the wheel...love the setup and love the C4!!!
Love my new 4’s you will too. Get that quick jack and replace the spark plugs while bleeding the brakes as you will have the rear wheels off anyway. Combo video! I am doing my plugs Saturday. $99 for the plugs.
I am a week away from replacing my P-zero’s. Maybe I will also do the Michelin. My P-zero’s are cracking on the inner sidewalls with low mileage, on my Turbo. The date code is 2017, seems a little ridiculous considering the cost. Love your car, the colour rocks!
Michelin are quieter and more comfortable indeed.... I just had them placed last week...... btw, did a message on the pcm asked you to reset settings ?
Nice to see how it's done. Question : are these N-rated tires ? For the 991 Porsche didn't issue N-rated, correct ? I would like to fit Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my 718, but am doubting because they are not N-rated....
Tire rack had two versions. The n rated and the reg. The n rated was maybe $20 more per tire. Tire rack said there is no difference between the tires that they are aware of other than Michelin is saying on paper the n rated is guaranteed to meet Porsche standard specs. I pay the extra for the N rated. I figured with that kind of money 80 bucks doesn’t much matter LOL.
I have same porsche and was looking for a video on re-set of the tire alert on the dash screen (in yellow) I cannot find a fix for new tires re-set on RUclips for 991.
My Pirelli‘s have gotten noisier over two years. My car is a 2022 Targa. I’m noticing more road noise in the rear I got about 12,000 miles on the tires or 20,000 km. Do you think it’s time to change the rear tires
The dial rings are plastic with a Matt silver finish. They match the stock aluminum look perfectly. I will say I had to order three kits and cherry pick the best from each kit to get a full set that looked perfect. These things are cheap Chinese crap. But once in place I think they look great in my opinion they even look factory.
Anders Jensen so much quieter. That’s the main difference for me, I don’t track the car. Also they appear fatter due to the rub bead on the fronts and rears. The difference in noise is really incredible.
@@bobbygfl im sure the employee was experienced but that bar always runs the chance of marring or scratching a wheel no matter experienced the operator is. Leverless and touchless make it even less likely of scratches. I cant believe they spent big money on a road force elite balance machine and went with a dated machine for high end rims for high paying customers
The alignment was so satisfying. Thanks for filming this.
thank you!
Good choice, I did the same and love it.
Right on!
Great work done on this beauty! Please explain what is happening on 12" and 19". Thanks.
Thanks! What do you mean 12” and 19”?

Kid did a great job!
Agreed.
Nice vid! Your gonna love the Michelins. They are great tires.
etc etc thank you!
Great video. About to do the same to my 991.1 Cabrio 4S ...
Thanks!!

Thanks!
Got it dailed in.

True but the Michelins are fatter than the Pirellis.
Thanks!

We need more video like this...

rick scriver thank you!! And I still love the Michelin‘s. In my opinion they are better in every way than the Perelli’s
Michelin are quieter and more comfortable indeed.... I just had them placed last week...... btw, did a message on the pcm asked you to reset settings ?
Ather Radwi nope. No settings reset. The dealer tech may have reset something when I wasn’t looking though.

@@bobbygfl thx for the reply. I've read so many good things about the Michelins.. I'll have a go for it :-). Take care and keep up the good video's !

the dealer reset it. it may only be possible with the programing tool.

Yes and the Michelin’s are so much better
Does Hunter machine align the Lane Assist cameras and/OR Adaptive Cruise cameras? Necessary during alignment?
I’m sorry I don’t have those so I have no idea. Thanks for the comment
Man, I would have hated it if someone came in there to film the entire procedure. Why did you need to do it?
Why did I need to film it? Purely for the channel.
How was the alignment out so bad ??
My Honda had 300,000km and never had alignment issues??
I didn’t think it was so bad.
What tool did he use for the front toe adjustment
What’s wrong with it?
curious.. how reliable has your 991 been? is it a .2 or .1? Water pump issues?
SJ zero problems. Nothing has broken. It’s a 991.
They are fairly reliable. My 991.1 had an issue with the front lifter though. It stopped working while the car was just sitting in the garage.
ABOlsen80X ive heard that form someone else.
@@bobbygfl
Yes quite strange. It was fixed under warranty, but it did render my car useless for a month. That thing can scrape the road markers lol.
ABOlsen80X Lol. Right
Where did you get that half car cover. I want one.
thank you! i made it. well my mom made it! It's two king sheets stitched together with a 1/4 rope stitched around the edge for weight.
Are your dial rings abs plastic or chrom?

@@bobbygfl This is what I expected; getting the perfect set out of 2-3 ordered sets.
@@pride355 sad but true. Fortunately they are cheap. At least one of the sets they sent me for free because I complained that they are crap.

A shifter(Cresent wrench) on a Porsche? That kid needs proper tools, or at least go get the right one..
Yep.
Lol. Yeah, I wasn’t all that impressed.
Their tire machines are dated... I have a leverless and a touchless at my shop. I cant believe they would skimp on that
I wish they had that.

Also the machine had no assist arm. He used the 2 tire bars to put it on and that can also do damage if the bars slip

You couldn’t be more in the way if you parked on a train track.
Lol. Yes there’s that.
Bit of a dick move to be recording someone while they're working at work, even with their permission. Creepy
Lol. OK I did not consider that.
