The exhaust tips are a HUGE upgrade from the HDMI ports on my 2022, which I replaced with a Borla exhaust that has raised a few eyebrows. (Truthfully it's usually more, "Wow, Borla makes an exhaust for a Hyundai?") New model looks great! Overall, good review. Cheers!
Just leased this beauty 2 days ago in transmission blue (Nardo grey) and it looks fabulous. However, apparently the US models didn’t come with the lane switch camera feature on the cluster which I was upset about.
love your in-depth review. hope to see a test drive for refreshed '25 K5 GT later this year. (reason why I want the K5 over this is cuz the ventilated seats, rear seat vents, etc)
Just got the same one. Seen a video on here someone doing 6.7s 0-100. A bit disappointed with the Pirelli P Zero’s but judging from videos i’ve seen of the ‘23 it slips half as much this year.
I enjoy your reviews. .you always keep up with new realized cars. If you are doing 20-30 and if you gun it front tires start to slip ? Considering there is no LSD.
Tell me why this is exactly the same two cars I’m looking at lol. I think mustang makes more sense for a longer resale value, but the sonata is better right now
It’s baffling how Hyundai and Kia build all these high torque models, most with turbo's and don’t offer a Limited Slip Differential. I’ve driven a few models and the front tires always seem to spin around a corner or if taking off from a stop too aggressively. Not fun after the first few times and a lot of wear and tear.. 😕
The car says to use 87 octane, put 87 octane in it. There is Zero benefit to premium fuel if there's no danger of pre-ignition (knocking) when using 87 octane. All octane is is knock resistance. no more, no less. You're wasting your money and it won't run any faster, cleaner or better. (Providing the engineers at Hyundai know what the are doing.) Bad advice.
Heat can increase the chance of predetonation. If you was spending hours playing with the car, or actually taking it to a track, you’d want premium gas to resist the heat of continued hard use. Otherwise, yes, there’s no benefit if it’s designed for regular grade. But there is indeed still a benefit of using premium. As well, premium tends to have tons more detergents and additives that help with removing carbon deposits, cleaning valves, and being better for your catalytic converter.
All 4 cylinder cars for about the last 10 years are high compression engines. High compression engines will PING on regular gas, ie..87 octane. Years ago the development of the knock, or PING sensor. Along with the ability of a computer to constantly adjust timing on the fly, gave manufacturer's the ability to say you can run 87 octane. However, it doesn't RETARD timing till PING is DETECTED. So the engine is still frequently subject to pinging which is very bad. Retarding the timing causes a big drop in performance. So running premium eliminates PING, while leaving timing in the advanced position for optimum power at all times.
@@johnfranklin5277 It says right in the Service manual for the the car printed by Hyundai Motors themselves, Regular Gas. Not premium, not fairy dust, not liquid diamond juice, regular gas. If the car has been tuned to use 93 octane to eliminate knock that's one thing, but from the showroom floor these cars are factory tuned to run perfectly on 87 if that's what they claim. There's no reason the manufacturer would recommend 93 if it doesn't require it. For instance 2016 GTI requires only regular fuel whereas the 2016 Golf R requires Premium as it is specifically engineered to use 93 instead of 87. That said if you use an APR stage 1 tune on the GTI, APR recommends 93 for proper operation guaranteed. So in short, speaking from a stock configuration, whatever the manual says to use, use that. Cheers.
For daily driving, yeah 87 will work. But for track days and prolonged spirited driving, you want 89+ or you will start pinging after a few minutes. Ask how I know....
@@Majima_Nowhere Who do you think is buying this car? I'd be willing to bet there are fewer than 1% of Sonata N-line owners that will Ever see a track or really spend hours driving it hard, that's not this car's target. Hence why there's no LSD or strut tower brace, or Brembo brake factory options etc... this is a comfy daily driver with a ridiculous amount of horsepower and torque. I was commenting on This car in particular. Cheers!
Hyundai omitted back A/C vents for US market, when Canadians and South Korea's Sonata N-Lines all have it. I skipped this and will be depositing to get the Camry V6.
thank you so much for the video. really enjoyed watching it. may I ask please, do you know by chance if it's possible to purchase an actual spare tire complete kit for the 2024 sonata nline? if so, maybe you could recommend where please. also, i noticed it also has normal, sport, and my drive, is there an eco option? or did hyundai remove the eco option for this new sonata? also, i really wish they included the center console rear air vents on the 2024 nline. apparently they are adding them on the 2025 nline, which kind of sucks cuz I recently got the 2024 nline, kind of not fair, bc LITERALLY the only difference between 2024 vs 2025 is the center console airvents. Do NOT understand for the life of me, why hyundai did not include them on the 2024 nline on USA models, when in most other countries the 2024 nline has them included, thank you again.
I'd be more worried about the transmission. It's a dual clutch. They're not built for longevity. I have a 2022 kia with the dual clutch and I've already had mine replaced 3 times under warranty. Engine wise it has been bullet proof so far.
You would think any vehichle with heated seats would come with a heated steering wheel. I am betting the Canadadian N line will. I live in a cold climate and that is one option I always get on my cars and trucks.
It’s sad how much nicer the Korean model is. Ventilated seats, blind spot camera, 360 camera, even comes in a matte black paint option. And alot more. I wish it would’ve carried over to the US models. :(
Here in Canada, we're missing out on even more than you guys. First, we don't even have the hybrid option here, which is strange given the fact all 2025 Camry's, the Sonata's main competition, are hybrid. Second, on the top tier Ultimate trim, we don't get the 360 camera, in dash side view monitors, or the Heads Up. And the biggest insult of all, the powertrain warranty up here is only five years, compared to the ten everyone else gets. It's almost a giant fu from Hyundai to it's Canadian customers.
My 2023 EN didn't come with rear vents either. Picked up OEM kit, shipped directly from a Hyundai contact that helps us EN folks a ton here in the US. PITA install but well worth it. Wish I could have gotten the vent/USB kit but I'm happy with what I have. Still annoys me how we don't get all of the features in our Hyundai vehicles though...
@@conny4973How much did you pay for the rear vent for both part and labor? If you installed it yourself, was it simple? I plan to do the same if I purchase this car.
@thacudder that's crazy. I have a 22 kia forte with the dct and mines been replaced 3 times under warranty. Why do kia and hyundai insist on using garbage transmissions year after year. I wish they'd just slap a traditional torque converter in these cars.
Hyundai sonata SEL AWD is a thing but sadly it is only with a 2.5 naturally aspirated inline 4. Personally would have paid extra for the turbo if it came with AWD

I agree but they changed to hdmi port on 24 Kia K5 GT. When they used to have the ones now on 24 Sonata N line. Go figure 🤔
HDMI ports😂
Now that you mention it, they do actually look like them, I also own a 2021 Sonata N Line, fantastic car👍
I'm going to be buying this, the black one with the black leather interior. Looking forward to it!
Looks freaking awesome! My only question is why they wouldn’t just make it an All Wheeled drive like one of their SEL models?
Great question. One of the things that makes me hesitant.

love the video and great review one thing the saturation for the video might be a little high thanks for the info
I’m glad I looked at these comments. Sitting in the dealership and yup no AC vents in back seats
After looking at this car, I wish the Hyundai Elantra had this car's interior.
What do you like about the Elantra that the sonata doesn’t offer?

Depends on if you plan on having passengers.
