The most timeless phone of all time.
It was easily 6 years ahead of 2013!
This phone was wayyy ahead of its time. Wish it still worked well with our tech today
2019... Still using it. Great phone.
No lags? No more "Nexus/Pixel is the first to get Android update"?
Me too
Dude this thing is like 7 years old
Still rocking it
Year: 2020
@@GXShade dude how it isn't dead yet, mine died in 2017 :(
One of the most well done reviews I've ever seen. Very professional, well edited, your opinion is unbiased and your criticisms are fair, but most of all it was a pleasure to watch and hear you speak. You've made me want to get this phone.
EDIT: And I bought it. Thanks again, Marques! Couldn't be happier with my choice!
Too expensive, too restrictive, too ... popular.
Who cares that it's popular.
A better reason not to get it is because of it's bad screen ("sub720p") and mediocre "specs" and camera.
Having an extremely popular phone is a big turn off for me.
Not unbiased. This guy, back then anyway, is simply pro Nexus - that is the bias.
coming to this old video because I miss the phone
Crazy how far mkbhd has come. 💪🏿 This still one of my favorite phones ever
Watching then on the Nexus 5 in 2016. The camera really has become excellent.
Giradox I feel frankly jealous, always loved that phone and wanted to have it. Nice
Got this phone after watching this fantastic review. More than 3 years later and I still love it. Thanks Marques!

I watched this whole video on my Nexus 5. I agree with most of the things you said. I came from my Note 3, and there are some good things about the Note 3. But as am "Android Modder", the Nexus 5 is pure Gold. CM11 will probably make the battery much better, and the OS.
As always, excellent video and good day to you sir.
In 7 years I am first who reply you
sorry to be off topic but does someone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Fernando Chase instablaster :)
@Brentley Ford i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Brentley Ford it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
Fantastic review! MKBHD videos get better and better!
MKBHD liked my comment :> Omg
@@SonnyJacobLee No, lol
Great video review, once again. You can't be more thorough and honest than Marques. I have a Nexus 5 and I can't agree more. Battery life can be better, camera is a bit slow and the speaker needs work. I'm sure Google will update those as we go along. Thanks, Marques, for the great job.
Beto Aguirre, do you think that it is really worth it to make the leap from a Nexus 4 to the Nexus 5?
That's hard to say for me because I never got the 4. I replaced my Galaxy nexus and it's well worth it for me because my Gnex was very slow and unstable with no 4.4 coming to it either.
This is fast and snappy, the battery needs work, but the feel is fantastic. It's up to you.
Interesting...
What is the battery life on a typical day for you? I'm considering buying one but want to make sure it's worth it
The battery is not great. I got 5.5 hours of use yesterday, the screen is a battery hog for sure. I didnt charge purposely, but looking forward to buying a battery extender when available. The price, screen, speed make the phone worth the battery hassle for me. Im sure Google will update the camera app, speaker and give us a bit more battery life soon enough.
I bought the red nexus 5 a week ago. Dropped it on the road. The screen dropped over a metre; face first into some large pieces of gravel. The screen protector (Crystal: Spigen) had 4 raised points where it impacted the gravel. I thought the screen itself had chipped at those points. When I removed the screen protector the screen was 100%. I just can't believe it. It was a big drop on hard surface and directly to the face. I have the Spigen Lite Armour case but the phone fell face first with all of the impact to the screen. Just incredible.
***** Really dig your review style mate. Most reviews (especially of tech) annoy me due to the person doing the review.
Great stuff - keep them coming!
8 years later still going strong with the Nexus 5 never a single issue. 100% is the Toyota Hulix of androids
Still with it now?
I'm pretty sure almost nothing supports that version of android, so what ur doing on it other than texting and web browsing is beyond me
Dude, this is one, no, this is probably THE best video review I have ever watched. I really really enjoyed it. Got my Nexus 5 ordered and waiting for it to come after 5 years of using iPhones since the first generation. I really hope this is some breakthrough, finally. Regarding the battery life, I do not worry about it too much, as it may get a fix soon, and even if not, the Cyanogen is coming, opening the way to new battery saving optimizations. So, hoping for the best and once again thanks for the review.
Like this comment if you are missing this phone in 2024.
I found one at the thrift store so I'm wondering what to do with it, maybe a custom ROM. Works great, it's just old. Also the soft touch coating is going to go bad soon, although it isn't all sticky yet.
What a phone.
I still have this phone. Wifi doesn't work and the screen is broken. It was a good phone, the nexus 4 looked better though.
I lost mine when it was still new 😢
Update on Camera Performance!!!:
The camera is already snappy on a Kitkat update. Google fixed the slow camera and performs great already.
Great review, I love that you pointed out the slow camera as it is my biggest complaint, however I think the photos that it takes are some of the best I have seen besides the iPhone and Lumia.
The speed and OS is completely worth it.
Ultimately I'd love front facing speakers but the speaker on the bottom is more appealing than on the back. It's easier to hear if I'm laying in bed and the back of the phone is muffled by my comforter.
I agree the camera is slow but I have taken and edited some fantastic shots with my n5 and so has +Myriam Joire. The ois also makes it incredible to use with camscan to scan text to make pdfs.
Great review though.
Still rocking this in 2016 like me anyone?
+GA. Luigi I just ordered one, coming tmw :) how is it in 2016?
Marco Medel It's great.
I agree, got it today! So buttery and smooth, I'm loving it GA. Luigi
Mine cracked a few days ago.
I dropped mine last week lol the screen is cracked. Had it for over two years. I'm going to have to choose between the new Nexus or the Samsung Note 7.
What kind of world we live in when waiting 1 second for the camera to open up and take a picture is considered a long time
Thanks dude, I was just gonna state that!
An incredibly thorough review of the Nexus 5; the Storm Trooper name is pretty cool too. Thanks *****
I'm loving my Nexus 5 - you nailed it when saying it is the most "Google experience" to date. Other than the speakers, I have no complaints whatsoever. Very clean device, absolutely smooth OS, unparalleled Google experience and services.
After a decade, I finally left ***** for ***** just to purchase the #Nexus5 and I have absolutely no regrets. T-Mobile so far has been a much better [network] experience in every way here in the NYC Metropolitan area. T-Mobile's LTE speeds are blazing fast, consistent and dependable (not to mention T-Mobile's HSPA+ speeds out performs VZW's CDMA 3G speeds every time).
I left ***** also I got my Nexus 5 last week and I coming from a gnex this thing is blazing fast ***** speeds are great better than Verizon hands down.
Hey *****, you may want to think about heading back to *****. Two years later, their network is kicking ***** butt!! I'm glad I left.
I had my Nexus 5 about 6 hrs so far and I love it. I just check my social media every couple of hours and since I can't use my phone at work, I won't complain about battery life. I agree that the camera could be faster. I was gonna get the 32gb version but I remember "No Bloatware" so I got the 16gb instead! Good bye S3: U will be missed!
I currently have the S3. Would you say it's a definite upgrade not only on the software version but the hardware as well? My concerns is the camera and brightness of the screen on the nexus 5.
Yes. Most definitely! If you're due for an upgrade go for it. Just keep in mind there's no expandable storage or battery.
What does 'no bloatware' means ?
Bloatware is those preinstalled apps people never use that manufacturers put on the device that can't be uninstalled unless you root your device.
mynameismag1 Bloatware is the rubbish software installed by default on phones and computers by the vendor or carrier. Think antivirus trial software on a new computer or carrier-specific front-ends and apps that show up on new phones unnecessarily and make it run slower. The Nexus line and a handful of "Google Experience" devices have stock Android with none of the bloatware found on a lot of other devices.
looking back on this phone in 2016 and i still love it. i cant wait to go back to a google made phone
Great view *****. As a Verizon coverage locked user, I love hearing about the Nexus 5. However, I keep getting saddened by hearing about the camera and now about the speaker. Concerning the camera, the Moto X has been great since the recent update. I love it. Hopefully Google can resolve the Nexus 5 camera issues with software too.
I read on Android Central that Google is aware of the speaker issue and is planning on addressing it with a software update. Same with the camera. Hopefully 4.4.1 takes care of most of the biggest issues.
***** I hear ya. I am also locked into VZW. My wife saw the N5 and wanted it but no luck here. VZW works everywhere I go 95% of the time while other services don't. Which sucks. Looks like I might get the MotoX Dev edition for my wife. I don't like locked BLs.
Always a great review from ***** I would like to add to this that the speaker isn't the greatest like it was mentioned, but it's definitely fuller than the Nexus 4 was and you definitely notice more bass in his voice even from a video like this...
your reviews, just keep getting better! keep it up!!
Let me know if you need me to take one of those nexus 5 off your hands! ;)
Yea and they were already the best out there so that's something.
I own this phone. The camera on the nexus 5 is perfectly fine. BUT. The battery is garbage
Yeah Camera imporved a lot through software updates but I always need to charge my phone twice a day and that's fine for me though but for some people who work around 8 hours, is pretty awful
Enamul Hasan Sometimes I get a full day out of it. Some times I can only get a couple hours. I'm planning on installing a custom kernel and Cyanogenmod 12. It improves battery to make the phone last 12 to 14 hours screen on!
What about front cam please let me know I wanna buy it
need justice front cam?..... Em I say okay
Don't expect too much, not too less...
It may sound weird but it's front cam is better than Z1's .... Good luck with your purchase!
Enamul Hasan thanks for replay :)
the video has a lengh of 15 minutes and uploaded since 3 minutes... and you see people comments "Nice video".. Wait what ???
They automatically know it's a 'Nice video' ;) jk I know what ya mean
Because is Marques Brownlee!!!!!! He is a BEAST!!!
I was willing to look past the average camera and the crappy speaker but the subpar battery kills it for me
Well. He did state that he is a power user.
If you are as well then I suggest you're better off with a phone with a bigger battery.
If you're an average or medium user like me then you will have no problem whatsoever. Power users can heavily aggressive to the battery because they tend to use the phone running a lot of things usually 24/7.
I wish he would state what the battery would be like if you were a casual battery consumption user.
Reviews that I have seen concerning the battery life say that it is good. It's not overly great but not bad either. They were able to get through a full days use with even some power to spare. But that's because they were average users. In the end it depends what it will be for you. Hope this helped !
I don't think I would consider myself a power user but there's nothing I hate more than having to worry about how I use my device just to make sure that it doesn't die on me during the day.
VikramT7 dont we all
The battery's great for normal usuage... I easily have at least 40-50% at the end of the day with no charging. You just have to be sure to not use battery sucking apps...
Agree 100%. Why don't they put a 3000 ma/h battery in every phone?
Nice production values! As good or better than any of the major tech sites reviews. Keep up the great work!
***** Crazy part is this guy is only 19!!! He has a huge following for his reviews. Pretty amazing...
The audio quality of your videos is so good.
I love your desk and the speakers and everything, can you do a quick tour of your room?
Prepared for the shortcomings; definitely my next device.
Me too!
Value for money, can't really go wrong.
It's a really nice phone, I've been fondling my co-workers for months now (yeah you take that out of context, go ahead) and it's surprising light and snappy and polished.
I'm actually excessively interested in ART to be honest; there's just 'something' that Android needs to push it over the edge, and 4.4 with ART enabled might be just that lil extra. New nickname is Tim Fondlin' Nguyen by the way, Tim Nguyen
2020 still have it , love it
The lack of a dedicated home button to wake up your screen (which means the power button can be worn off) and the shitty battery killed it for me. It's an awesome fluid phone nonetheless.
Dude pls upgrade
Mine died due to bootloop and broken power button
@@fredjuma you can replace it to new one it's easy
I had mine for about 7 months. At first it was amazing, everything worked fine, really fast, no problems. The longer I had it however, it began to freeze, closing the apps on its own, keyboard not appearing. The worst thing though is that this phone overheats...A LOT! It overheats and freezes even though I only use it for a few minutes at a time, I have barely anything on it (only a few essential apps), and I close the apps after using them (which I shouldn't even do...). I of course tried to clean the cache, turning it off for a while or even zeroing it and it still does that. So if you are considering buying this phone, take what I wrote into consideration.
It seems the speaker is good, but something is wrong with the drivers/software. Try listening to a Google Music track (crap quality) and then compare with a RUclips song. Much better. I believe Google will fix this soon (hopefully).
I believe they had announced something similar to your post about the drivers. not sure where I heard/read it.
Yes. There are some posts about that. This one wasn't meant to be posted here. I've commented on the RUclips video and it automatically added the comment as a post here . :)
Call me spoiled (coming from the Note 2), the speaker it NOT good. Cannot hear incoming calls or texts while in the car with music on while the note 2 I can hear perfect. Just like Marques said, Google had to make some shortcuts somewhere.. and it's definitely the speakers.
I was talking about quality, not sound volume. There is definitely a difference from listening music stored on the device and streaming from places like RUclips, Pandora or Spotify.
And yes, you are spoiled ;)
Also, it's speaker and not speakers ;)
I started watching phone reviews a month back and I noticed: Why do people care so much about camera on a phone? o_O 8 MP is plenty enough to have a decent photo... Most of us are not photographers or social media workers. Who care?
Totally agree! As long as the pix come out good to your eyeball then nothing else should matter. Especially if you're not a photographer.
Because most of the time the number of megapixels itself doesn't really matter. It can have a decent number of megapixels, but the photo quality and reproduction may end up not up to expectations
And I get it.....but what does that mean to someone who is not into all that "fancy" stuff? What does it mean to the avg joe who just wanna take a quick selfie for Facebook and or Instagram or any other social website? It means nothing. Most people hardly know the settings in their phone, let alone how well an actual photo comes out when u analyze it. But that's none of my business tho. **Sips Tea** ☕
Well I'm not a photography expert, but I get pretty dissatisfied with quite a few of the photos my Moto X takes.
I kinda agree, because for real nice and serious photos I would use a DSLR camera and not the phone.
Battery life is a deal breaker for me
There are ways to preserve battery life you know if that's such a big deal lol
All I did was turn off NFC and location and now my battery lasts legit 3 movies and some battery to spare with low to medium brightness
it’s really not that bad if you keep the brightness low
your camera quality makes every video better
At 9:57, what game were you playing? Your reviews by the way are by far the best I've seen/heard on youtube.
It's Slingshot Racing.
Riptide gp2 ;)
Ok, thanks.
I've had this device for a week now and I must say that I'm impressed aside from the fact that there's an 8 mp camera. But I've heard that the main complaint is the battery. Its weird cause my Nexus 5's battery life is shockingly good for me...I go to work every day at 645 am - 730pm and at the end of the day itll be 80-75% and I use this phone ALLOT. All you have to do is turn off things like hotkey, NFC, bluetooth, etc and the device will def last you throughout the day. Maybe even longer...
My battery was great on that phone

"I think Google could decide to make a seven hundred dollar Nexus and not make any compromises like the camera and the speaker..." 14:07

$649 Nexus 6 announce with amazing processor, screen and a better camera
And now it's time for the Pixel to shine.

It’s 2023. I have an iPhone 13 Pro. But this was my first phone I bought through discovering your reviews. Thanks for the past 10 years ❤
Anytime I watch a ***** video, I'm so damn proud! Keep doing your thing, young man. You've got a very bright future ahead of you! Great review!
Awesome review. All the things that you pointed out as cons for the phone (speaker, pictures, size, ect.) are really a none issue for me...looks like I know what I want now.
Love how apple fanboys show up on an android review to tell people that the features and whatnot are better even though apple copies stuff from other companies including android. Look at the ios 8 keynote for example, the "new features" are copied from android. The iphones might be fast, but that's only because ios is one of the lightest skins out there. Put ios 8 on a nexus 5 or a Samsung Galaxy S5 and the iphones are shit out of luck.
That would be crazy sick if they put iOS8 plus a few features missing and iPhone specks ,nokias cam then a strong screen and in a nexus body would be very cool but we all know not I n a million years that all thos company's will join together to make a super smart phone
Ha yeah true I have 3 iPhones and now have the 5s but I'm sick of it the battery dies way to fast...
You're calling ios a skin... what?
This is your first review I watch and you're really awesome!
I'm from Germany and I'm really missing reviews like this one in my country! Keep it up! You're great!
MAN! When I opened it up, I said loudly, WOW look at this!
then I realized I'm standing in a train and all people stared at me with a questioning look.
Nexus 5 was my very first phone, it lasted about 2 years till I decided it was a good idea to jump on a trampoline with it 😅. But as a first phone, it wasn't so bad. The screen held up well compared to how many times I dropped it 😂 and I was pretty satisfied with the camera. Its nothing compared to newer models, though (in my opinion) its an affordable price
Still the best phone out there! August 2015
Really now? How so?
+Khanin the Uhahkian Perfect screen size, perfect ergonomics, buttery smooth latest OS straight from source. Beautiful, simple and elegant.
VanGogh34 I'm guessing you have this phone?
+Khanin the Uhahkian Nexus 4, 5, 6 and awaiting 6p.
VanGogh34 How's the battery life for the 5?
I miss this intro. What a nostalgia that was
Still us it in 2016, and the phone is great.
Using it*
how is the battery on 6.0?
+Jeremy Phạm 1 day, 1/2 depends how much i use the phone. not a big difference between 5 and 6.
+Alexandru Mădălin should i get this or the 6 :(
+Jeremy Phạm its simply. if you want to use the phone for basics like facebook, instagram, twiter and normal games like temple run or need for speed you can get 5. it will keep you on for 1 day. but if you all of those and a bigger screen, a bigger battery, a nice camera for pics and so on and you have the money go for 6p not 6.
The white is unfortunately NOT the same matte/rubber material as the black version. The sharp edges of the ceramic buttons makes them feel out of place with the rest of the build materials. Also the phone sitting flat will rock slightly on the camera sensor. Other than that this phone is fantastic. Battery life is actually really good and definitely will be better with rooted 4.4 custom Roms when they start becoming available. The N5 is not perfect. However it is practical especially if you upgrade your device once a year and want to do so more affordably.
Thinking about leaving my $30 unlimited data plan on vzw to get one of these. But then I keep thinking, something else will have to come out next month..
t-mobile has $30 prepaid unlimited data unlimited texting with 100 minutes. considering i'm paying over $100 a month with vzw now for unlimited i would gladly pay $40 for another 400 minutes in overages on t-mobile. i'll be suspending my vzw account every 60 days until further notice.
That prepaid plan is exactly what I'm considering switching to. I doubt I'd even go over the 100 minutes anyway.
I know I would but... I DONT CARE lol
Dave Kesslerput a good reserve buffer for your first run at the plan. Then get a Google voice number and set this app up.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.talkatone.android
There's some complaints about call quality during a couple of calls, but overall pretty solid and will give you free incoming /outgoing calls. Just give out your gv only. This should hold us over until hangout rolls out with voip integration... Hopefully before Google kills all 3rd party app support for gv and talkatone and grooveip apps alike stops working.
You can also port your Vzw number over to your gv and request a new number on your Vzw account while it's suspended... But there's a certain way to do it so you won't kill your unlimited.
Legendary phone, battery was shocking though.
My first actual smartphone.. and went for it because of this video 😅 So nostologic!!
Still looking for that intro music since 2013!
isnt it from asdf Movie?

Dude ... you do some Really Nice reviews, you should be named Explainer in Chief :-)
You mention the little things that really matter. Keep up the great work.
2022 and i am watching this 😳👀
Nexus 5 is really a superb phone! Using it for >5 years and still working perfectly fine
Thank you so much for this video. Best phone review I've ever seen. Keep up the good work. Pierre - France.
*****, went back to see this and HOPEFULLY the battery is fixed! I was surprised to hear that the Nexus won't last a whole day! I'm using a Moto G at the moment and I get one or maybe two days. But, I still look forward to getting a Nexus 5 or maybe even a 6! :) Great video again, probably hear that a lot. :)
Thanks for this awesome video . . . . I am personally a huge Google and Nexus fan and I hope to buy this device as soon as possible . . . . Thanks Marques for this unbiased and super review . . . . . :-)
that was very informative.
absolutely . . . . . I trust only this review among all the ones available . . . . .
is mr Marques a famous person, eto bishash korchis?
Achha explain what kit-kat is- a version of nexus 5 or the latest android?
it is the latest Android software version . . . .4.4 . . . . . Currently, Nexus 5 is the only device to have this version pre-installed . . . . .
A Nexus 5 5G would be a surprising refresh, 1080p screen, high dpi, and a Pixel camera
Best review of NEXUS 5... FAIR & UNBIAS!!!
Amazing review as always. I'm getting mine this week. I got tired of my Moto G and I expect a better performance and believe me, a better camera! Cheers!
I am still rocking the Nexus 5. :) Battery life is crap and camera don't not take super nice pics complaining to today's standard but it still alive and still useable. :)
Awesome review mate! Probably one of the most unbiased and informative reviews i've ever seen on RUclips :) Subscribed!
He always has the best reviews
My brother is getting
a Nexus 6p, and is giving me his old Nexus5 but it is in very good condition!
Excellent review. Can't argue with it at all.
The Nexus 5 is not perfect... but I wasn't expecting it to be for the amount I paid.
Nice work as always, ***** .
Spot on review, as usual :)
Just so you know, the camera takes it's time, because it has to take several pictures in different depths, so you can change focus after taking the picture.
I don't think this feature can be made much faster, but off course they could make it an optional feature :)
***** The only tech reviewer I really watch is linus but I have to say I am really starting to enjoy watching your videos, they are great! Keep up the good work!
this is the best phone I've ever used so far except the battery life tho but on performance it's still a beast till today
I this the nexus5 is one of the best phones out there
Got this phone 2 weeks ago, so happy!
Thank you so much! This video really helped me! Keep doing such great videos and goog luck! :))
I don't care for the speakers, I always use headphones... I don't take much photos either... And I really loved the shape and look among all the other phones (my personal taste).... But the battery life really off put me... I mainly do lot of browsing, facebook and youtube... If only this one had a long lasting battery :(
I read several articles saying that Google is working on Nexus 5's battery life. It would be great if it's true because the battery life is the only thing holding me back from buying a Nexus 5 =(
Just go to settings and turn on android runtime (art) which makes apps run faster and use up less battery
its June 2k16.. n um still using this device :v
Its 2024 bt why I am watching this
Great review! You give amazing reviews, and the time and effort put into this video is amazing. I just got this phone after having the iPhone 4 for 2 years! So This is indeed an amazing upgrade!
Thanks!
Hi! I don't think the battery life is bad it's certainly better than my iphone 4! I recommend you getting it; not just because of batttery life but for the awesome features and how reliable the connectivity is, it's extremely fast!
Outside of America this phone costs just as much as the other high end phones.
Doesn't here in the UK, or as far as I know, in all of Europe.
Doesn't in Canada either.
In Asia at least this phone costs around 650-700 dollars. Even more in India.
No it doesnt. I bought this phone for 28,000
Neelansh THakur where?
Lol... It's like Google saw this video and granted Marques his wish.
A $700 no compromise nexus 😜
Who's here because of Pixel 8?
Maybe if google can remake the back design like this for upcoming pixel, it could be great. Just change the Nexus with Pixel.
***** , the best reviewer ever. Period.
Any idea what game he is playing ther with the tiny cars going in a circle with a cable to a pole? Oh....yeah.... Awesome review.!
No idea. But ***** answered this question in his original post of this video.
Oh really, I will find it thanks.
Slingshot racing!

"my god you took that on a phone?! No way"
God im old
I read that exactly as he said it
I have a iPhone 13 currently and I had the nexus 5 8 years ago, I gotta say that phone has aged well, it’s super slim smooth and Pristine. It def holds up
I still have it. I see no compelling reason to upgrade it.
It'll be very great if you review new update changes in Nexus 5 Kitkat version 4.4.2, I'm getting tremendous improvements on N5 cam, it'll be very pleaseful and great if you do one review on new updates, eagerly waiting for it.
Next time I buy a phone Ill make sure to check the latest nexus first...
Wow! Thank you VERY much for this review! I literally stumbled upon the Nexus 5 while trying to decided upon a new phone upgrade, and could not decide if I would like this or not compared to a more expensive phone. I have a Nexus 7, which I LOVE, so knowing this was in the same family was a plus, but your review gave me all the specs and details I needed to make an informed decision. This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for, and especially in this price range. Thank you very much for a clean, highly detailed, and involved revie of this product. I shall look to you more in the future! :)
I am watching this in my Nexus 5 in 2019
Rahh he was using Snapchat in 2013.. damn

the logo in the centre off back
and the camera is at the same side too~
i dont know it's really copying iphone but i just feel it is copying iphone~and it same with apple can update to latest os~
Take a moment to consider how much Apple has taken from Android features, If you need an actual link, I'll be happy to share it.
heheheh.. i dont think you know what youre talking about.. ;)
Um no. So you're telling me only iPhones can put speakers on the bottom of their phones, a logo on the back and send updates? LOL
"The speaker is on the bottom"
That's just a design decision. The iPhone is not the first and only phone to have the speaker located on the bottom.
"The logo on the center of the back"
All phones have some sort of logo located on the back...?
"The camera is on the same side too"
Where else would they put the camera?
"Can update to the latest OS"
Are you serious? EVERY phone can update to the latest version of Android/iOS using software in the phone.
You have no idea what you're talking about, Patrick Hoo
This is bait
Just ordered a 32gb Black!
Just got mine on Thursday. Amazing phone. Speakers aren't as bad as everyone says. Camera is meant to be a lot better in the 4.4.1 update and the build quality is pretty premium.

How do you feel about not having a removable battery and no micro sd card? I'm drawn to the Nexus 5 for a reason I can't pin down. But I might get the note 3 just for the big screen, micro sd card and removable battery. Any opinions?
32gb is more than enough as all my photos are on my dropbox. I had a Note 2 and the smaller screen is actually alot easier to use. The non removable battery thing is a let down when the battery can barely last you a day. You can buy a battery pack however. My friend brings a battery pack with him and he thinks it's amazing.

Ah. Thanks for the info. The Note 3 is a beast, but it feels so executive to me. Like a PDA or blackberry. Maybe the trick is using dropbox for most of my needs. Thanks.
Nexus 5 is half the price too. You can buy a Nexus 7 and a Nexus 5 for the price of a Note 3 :)
