Saugatuck, MI Smallmouth Bass Fishing

First time in Saugatuck, MI and this place has it all. Smallmouth Bass were a wonderful bonus. I was able to get a little over an hour of fishing in each day over Memorial Day weekend.
Thank you to all those that serve and have served for allowing me the freedom to visit places like Saugatuck and catch my favorite fish.

Saugatuck is great for smallies, the whole Kalamazoo really. If we get a steady east wind they pile up by the piers and it’s unbelievable fishing.

They are part of Kalamazoo lake/river

@@WetLineWilly I figured that out after I looked up the area....I fished that same row yesterday....caught smallies, crappie, rock bass, large mouth....had a ball

@@bowmadman9562 Dude, that's awesome. I gotta get back there. That system has everything swimming in it. I caught a couple small catfish and drum on ned rigs. Not knowing what you're gonna hook into spices things up a bit. Any size to the smallies?

@@WetLineWilly I caught 2 that were in the pound and a half range about 16 inches. I had one real nice one come off before I could land it.
