@@JamesTurnerYT Even when there isn't a roof, the game puts a (possibly transparent) ceiling on rooms, which registers as one. You could try selecting the room, and click Remove Ceiling. But if it says Build Ceiling, that won't work. I think lowering or removing the platform is your best bet. I hope you can get it working because the water tower is hella cool. The farm looks great!

You should get Chaz the reward trait where you social need never deteriorates (I think it is independent?). Since he's decided he doesn't want to marry, I feel like it suits him and I bet you've got enough points for it 🤷🏼♀️
Yes, storm chaser is a good idea. I think you were looking at getting brave for Hazel, but brave is for everything including ghosts. Storm chaser would make them not scared of thunderstorms and is much cheaper.
You could get waterproof too (it is only 500 points) and it means they never get uncomfortably wet. I definitely take advantage of the reward traits and I'm always surprised when other players don't as much.
omg, if we do get a wedding pack you should throw Hazel and Trenton a grand country wedding, alternatively, you could do a shotgun wedding amongst the chickens.

Missed you James! now, for the ageing: Trenton was always Chazz's younger brother, and Hazel should be roughly the same age as trenton or in between him and chazz. The ages are a little jumbled at the moment. Option one could be that you age them all up into adults, Nina a child and angus a teen, put long lifespan on and then let them age naturally (long lifespan will give you enough time). Option two could be just turn aging on, but i HIGHLY suggest long life span. It takes ages, but its more consistent with everyone aging realistically rather than Angus being a young adult/teen at the same time his dad supposidly is lol

So I don't think he needs reassurance. I didn't even know that that was an option. I've only ever seen the "try to make friends" action fail, but it seems this kid succeeded all by himself
Angus or Nina’s future child has Rod as a middle name in honor of both the child’s grandpa and great uncle. Every time the name origin comes up in conversation many hours pass recollecting especially memorable electrocution moments. “Remember when the maid was electrocuted, and I thought I dodged a bullet? Yeah, a few minutes later I was zapped. Again.” “What about when I was spat out of the cow plant so drained I didn’t even notice when I was struck by lightning? That was funny! Well, it was funny after 48 sim hours when I could feel emotion again anyway.”

You can put the greenhouse plants in the inventory. Use the move tool the house alone backward and then to move the entire lot forward. And then rebuild the greenhouse in the back.
I had a money tree and when I did not harvest it, it glitched out and went back to a seed with no money collected. Happy to see the farm again! I looove the new house!!!
Imagine this.. if possibly you do end up opening a restaurant with this next gen of Bigwallets, Angus and/or Nina can run a farm to fork style restaurant where they get the produce from their father Trenton and uncle Chaz. Carl's mod is great! The fertilize all is a game changer. I can't imagine how tough fertilizing everything was in the seasons or green thumb LP was. I don't care about aging up the kids. I am happy for James to run this as a normal LP and just wait for whatever pack is next. Maybe a wedding one.
about the dew water collector you can put it every where first, upgrade it then scale it down to be very small then make sure to activate bb.moveobjects, then put them in exact same spot. :) better than wasting so much place just for those items and it's still functional :D

I think having the greenhouse next to the formal gardens & having the working farm patches in the back makes sense. Instead of moving it all around maybe just do some landscaping around the greenhouse to make it fit in a bit more at the front.
James glad you are back to making videos I missed them. The reward trait that you need so your sims are not scared by the weather is s"storm chaser". Also, you can upgrade a windmill that is on the ground to be a lightning rod. Hope there is more of your content.

I hope we can see him get a family too though. The house looks spectacular! I think for the trash issue upstairs, maybe use the apartment wall trash chute? Dew collectors do work sized down. The animation is weird because it has the water droplets in mid-air. You won't notice that when they're hidden away though

To find people you just need to use the focus camera option. Then if they’re around it’ll go right to them. You just pull up your friends list click on it and hit focus
Right, for people in your Household, you can just click on their avatar. But for Sims you can't control, the new Focus Camera option is the bomb. There is also the choice to Lock Camera, which I assume then follows them, altho I haven't tried this.
I LOVE the renovation! And it's really good to see you James. Welcome back! I have some suggestions for the LP. In the early episodes you were doing some tasks for each episodes. For example Chaz had to sell the crops and deliver some wool etc. to finish the episode. I know that the farm is nearly finished and Chaz and Trenton has great skills so there is no obvious tasks for you to do for each episode. But we have the kids now! I know that Chaz is def main charachter but maybe we can make Angus and Nina love the farm life and get them into it to somehow. They can have tasks for us to finish the episode. I think that way it would be a lot more fun! Also I have another idea about the gameplay. The pack is called cottage living and it's basically trying to mimick a little town. I think we should socialize with the town people more. Idk maybe throw dinner parties with the dishes we made with our produce. It would be reeaaally cute 😊😊
Welcome back 😊❤ To fix the ladder problem inside the house you could move Chaz's room up a level (even more batchlor vibes) and put stairs in that corner instead, so it can be dusted too. Maybe make the leftover space from his old room a smaller room for the dogs?

Yay! Missed these folks. Regarding the greenhouse- I do actually like it up front! Since the estate was upgraded maybe you’d like it more if it were updated to match the home aesthetic? There are really beautiful British greenhouses that you could model it after- Hartley and Alitex are well-known companies to check out for ideas.
James, if you want to move the garden, you could try building a huge room around it, save the room and then placing it where you want it to be. Maybe it will work and you'll just have to repaint the floor again. 😊

I always play with either aging off or long lifespan, so… I advocate for one of those, too.

I was watching this on my tv and I thought the mic was a break in my tv and panicked. I was terrified. Glad the LP is back!
I think having the greenhouse next to the formal gardens & having the working farm patches in the back makes sense. Instead of moving it all around maybe just do some landscaping around the greenhouse to make it fit in a bit more at the front.
James glad you are back to making videos I missed them. The reward trait that you need so your sims are not scared by the weather is s"storm chaser". Also, you can upgrade a windmill that is on the ground to be a lightning rod. Hope there is more of your content.
Awesome to have you back! I'd love to see you keep Hazel and Chaz at the same age as they are now, as Chaz has yet to get a family of his own, unless that's the intention. I hope we can see him get a family too though. The house looks spectacular! I think for the trash issue upstairs, maybe use the apartment wall trash chute? I feel like that would make sense for such a big farm house. Can't wait to see how things continue. :)

Dew collectors do work sized down. The animation is weird because it has the water droplets in mid-air. You won't notice that when they're hidden away though

To find people you just need to use the focus camera option. Then if they’re around it’ll go right to them. You just pull up your friends list click on it and hit focus
Right, for people in your Household, you can just click on their avatar. But for Sims you can't control, the new Focus Camera option is the bomb. There is also the choice to Lock Camera, which I assume then follows them, altho I haven't tried this.

Glad your back, quick tip, you should "feel the love" from your pet when they give you the option. It will give you 200 life time points.

I have some suggestions for the LP. In the early episodes you were doing some tasks for each episodes. For example Chaz had to sell the crops and deliver some wool etc. to finish the episode. I know that the farm is nearly finished and Chaz and Trenton has great skills so there is no obvious tasks for you to do for each episode. But we have the kids now! I know that Chaz is def main charachter but maybe we can make Angus and Nina love the farm life and get them into it to somehow. They can have tasks for us to finish the episode. I think that way it would be a lot more fun!
Also I have another idea about the gameplay. The pack is called cottage living and it's basically trying to mimick a little town. I think we should socialize with the town people more. Idk maybe throw dinner parties with the dishes we made with our produce. It would be reeaaally cute 😊😊
Welcome back 😊❤ To fix the ladder problem inside the house you could move Chaz's room up a level (even more batchlor vibes) and put stairs in that corner instead, so it can be dusted too. Maybe make the leftover space from his old room a smaller room for the dogs?

Yay! Missed these folks. Regarding the greenhouse- I do actually like it up front! Since the estate was upgraded maybe you’d like it more if it were updated to match the home aesthetic? There are really beautiful British greenhouses that you could model it after- Hartley and Alitex are well-known companies to check out for ideas.

James, if you want to move the garden, you could try building a huge room around it, save the room and then placing it where you want it to be. Maybe it will work and you'll just have to repaint the floor again. 😊
