@@bisk1407 price is the same as the Prusa Mini for the whole kit, and the Prusa isn’t even fully assembled. Bambu’s ease of use out of the box is next to none. The maintenance is pretty easy, and they’re durable as well. All very important points for a school district looking to buy these for a bunch of kids to use.
I upgraded from an Ender 3 Pro to a P1S. It was night and day. The P1S is closer to a fully functional appliance than a toy for tinkering. The A1 Mini is the next step in the applianceification of 3D printing.

No doubt, if the bed was equal to or bigger than my 235x235 bed, I would be completely sold. I don't even print multi-color but having all my most common spools up there would be amazing. Furthermore someone mentioned that it can detect spool run-out (via the runout sensor) and then automatically continue into another spool, meaning you can easily finish off spools and not even worry about having to switch to the next spool manually. Lots of thought went into this thing.

Great video and review. I see that there seems to some rather mixed reactions. Personally I think it is a great machine, yes it needs plenty of space to use and build volumn is more than enough for the price. I mean if you want to print big models then you would go for a bigger machine for more money. I also think would suit a lot of people wanting to get into 3d printing, I would say that it possibly aimed at entry level printing, but for even the !! avid makers it could come in handy especially for smaller batch prints with the speeds it’s capable of.
Also don’t no what the totally setup time was cos of the editing. But I would say for pretty much out the box you can’t go wrong.
Ps. Good luck with the world record attempt and keep up the work 😊😊

From a technical point of view, two questions.
Why would I invest in a printer over which I have no control over my designs, letting them pass through a cloud on the internet so that I can only print them if I connect to the internet? This makes me wonder: why can't I have full control over my designs?
The second thing I don't like about Bambu is the filament waste situation, why? Now if Bambu offered me a filament recycler along with the printer, I wouldn't say anything. But why continue to have something in a futuristic design that produces waste, at that price? If you think about it, it's not worth the combo. But is the money I'm going to spend on filament really justified? I don't think so.
Now, if we think that many of the machines that come from China we need tuning. Nothing comes with anything to say.
    We keep producing obsolescence.

So very disappointed with this, seems like Bambu are going backwards - $500 for this but another $200 for P1? I'll take the extra build volume and enclosure framing for the extra money. This seems like its trying to compete with the Prusa Mini? I guess a few more iterations and it will be good to go.

As someone new to 3D printing I was looking at the P1S but I've decided to give this a go because it's cheaper and has the AMS. The P1S with AMS would have been good but it's just too much for a first printer

@@TheEdgeofTech I know people that already have a Bambu Lab printer are disappointed, but this printer isn't really aimed at them. $299 for a very fast bed slinger with noise cancelation, flow calibration, and the ability to add multi-color printing with supported parts? Who would buy an Ender over that?

All you waterheads calling for a bigger printer dont realize they cant go bigger without losing speed. I really doubt they are even developing a bigger printer. They are making money hand over fist with what they have. The release of this cheaper printer just moved them into a new market. Bambu is doing it right. I hope they dont make a bigger printer just so I can watch you all cry for another year.

I disagree. It's small yes, but very powerfull if you want fast, reliable and/or multi colored prints. They are helping get more people into 3D printing and that is great for all of us! And I would bet that a bigger pritner is coming sonner than later..

I would argue that most 3d printers can be used not as a toy. As someone in the fabrication industry. 20 years ago to make even a small custom part. Easily cost my business 10K, for cad design, prototypes, casting a mold. I use several $200 printers to make reliable parts for what I do. So used properly this printer, and others can easily be used for business. 3D printing has save me tens of thousands of dollars being able to do things in-house.
