    This is a tough subject to cover and I hope it helped in some way. Take in ALL the information you can from youtube or forums. Take what you want and leave what you want from other content, including mine. Absorb it all. Thank you for watching. Now I can get back to some normal videos. I have been working on this for a while.

      CoolGuy I got my first Unbroken today in my warm up game after watching one of your older videos about trying to stay alive. That video was based in rumble and I had intentions of going in to it to practice, but I couldn't believe I managed to do it in 6s with Thorn. Thank you so much for all that you've done to help me improve my gaming. My average kd has plateaued at a 1 for the longest time, but after making improvements to my controller by getting a Beaver, getting a gaming monitor, and watching a lot of videos and really practicing what I've learned, I have noticed a substantial increase in my skills and my confidence in both gaming and real life. Gaming has help keep me sane and grounded in reality, as weird and counterintuitive as it sounds, and it has made me feel better about myself. Thank you for being such a Cool Guy. From Lightrazer_DD

      This was a great video. I really like how calm and deliberate you are in your explanations. You provide excellent examples, and most importantly you provide "drills" to do in order to improve the skills that you mention. Thank you for making such an excellent and well thought-out video.

      Hey CoolGuy,
      Really appreciate the time you have taken personally into this video and also others, they are really helpful and great to see community focus on helping other players improve their game. You always take the time to break areas down to make them easier to understand. Such as this one "Quote: just aim" and yeah there is more to it than that. I have found all of your vids really helpful as I am sure others have also, these range from the pvp guides, to reducing tilt and even live play or vendor rolls. This adds to that collection also. You sir are a legend and really hope your channel keeps expanding and you keep doing well.
      Thanks man your work certainly is appreciated.

I have been a gamer all my life with my 33 years - but I really suck at shooters - especially at FPS. Now I want to become better - and this was the first video which gave me the feeling and really showed the theory behind it! Awesome! I‘m good at Fifa but that‘s it! My eternal gratitude to you, Sir! Long time sub here) This guide comes in perfect timing for me, as I'm desperately trying to learn to aim on a controller, after switching from PC. I've tried XIM in the past, but it has never been ideal as built-in AA and acceleration working against mouse and keyboard use. I've played decent with it but I believe that I just skillcapping myself. Re-learning a shooter with a controller is definitely a fresh and exciting experience for me.

    • @ElBoyoElectronico
      @ElBoyoElectronico 4 года назад +1

      @byron stahlmann It did get a little bit better. But it still depends on the weapon type, and most of all on the distance, e.g. when someone is attacking me from up close turning and aiming gets very chaotic. Borderlands 2 feels very good now. I tried Metro Exodus a couple of days ago, it felt horrible (also because of the motion sickness).

    High sensitivity in my opinion is good when the aim assist is strong like cod or gta v because it doesn't really require micro adjustments. Lower dead zones is what I personally use and is popular with pro fps players. Gives you more control with your thumbs. Cross-hair placement is also very important and aiming at head level. In order to do this you will need to know the map or when you enter a corner your cross-hair will already be pointed at anyone at head level, ready for you to shoot. It's a good habit because you would have lesser time aiming at someone because your cross-hair will already be pointed at them. Knowing the map will give you an idea possible positions an enemy can be. It will be more natural when you play for a long time and sometimes it is just muscle memory.

  • @sorrow5233
    @sorrow5233 4 года назад

    What you said about the left stick strafe and right stick fine adjustment is so true. I have a bad habit of being right stick dominant so i end up trying to track an enemy's strafe with my right than my left and completely throwing my aim off.

      I appreciate that. Thank you. Talking about aiming, in general, is tough to convey. I hope it helps!

    This is a cool video. I used to play South Paw, but I'd buy games that didn't have that control option and I had to re-train myself to play "properly." Over the years I've gotten more and more accurate and continue to incrementally increase my controller sensitivity. At this point it's hard to believe I played any other way. I'm going to try playing without rumble and see if I notice any difference. :)

    I've trained my index finger extensively. Clicking "like" is all just muscle memory now.

      that's not a compliment though, you just said you liked his video on habit from liking other vids a lot, as in you didn't consciously decide this video was good enough to be liked, you just did it

    It has been ages since I’ve played halo games and when I came back I couldn’t hit a single shot, and that’s weird since FPS used to be my thing. But your video is helping me so thanks
