Great review, ended up picking one up for myself and I'm very pleased with it! Would be very cool to see some outdoor videos if you go on trips sometimes 😍

I’ve got the skogso which I think is similar enough for this comment to apply. I think these jackets are designed as a shell to be layered underneath a fleece or hoodie. Good review either way!

Yeah, I think you're right. I wore my Greenland the other day (similar single layer of G1000) in the pouring rain with just a t-shirt and was soaked after about 10 minutes, so I think layering is definitely a good idea, but not in the pouring rain!

@@WatchesKnivesEDC yep they’re definitely waterproof in the slightest however I’ve found after a wax it’ll stand up to a shower. If you’re looking for a good waterproof I’d have a look at carinthia, specifically their dutch army one.

I put WD40 on the zip pull and then ran up and down the zip a few times, do that every couple of months to stop snagging. It still snags on the storm guard if your not careful. Fit is nordic, bit of a nightmare for us Brits, if you go up in size the sleeves are longer and their pretty long to begin with, definitely need to try on first.

Nice review. I’m a bit bigger than you, got an XXL and found it to fit well except it’s tight across the shoulders. European sizing is generally smaller than US, but I find it weird that the homeland (Scandinavia) has snug sizes as I’m ethnically around half Norwegian and that’s probably why I look like an Icelander.

I think their sizes have changed over the last few years and they've got smaller. You're right - an XXL from a Scandinavian brand should be plenty big enough for any Viking!

How good would you say the jacket is for work in the rain? My biggest concern is overheating more than staying 100% dry. I am a storm chaser and I am considering buying this and bringing it on my chases

I wore it in a rainstorm with just a T-shirt underneath. It's heavily waxed and it soaked through in about 15 minutes.
I think I could wax it a few more times but sadly I don't think it'll never keep me dry for long in heavy rain.
For wind and light showers though it's great.

@@WatchesKnivesEDC I see I see. Thank you so much for testing it out. I really appreciate it. I don’t think I am going to buy this exact jacket but maybe the Keb eco shell that Fjallraven sells. Thank you so much again

Looks a snug XL, what do the sizes come up like?

It is a snug XL :-(
I usually take XXL but in some older Fjällräven XL is plenty big enough. That's no longer the case and I take XXL in their more modern jackets.
