Do you have any tips or suggestions for a smaller, quick, athletic type thrower (small hands too) to gain distance? I have a 5'9 kid who is 180 pounds and throws between 43-46 ft. We watch your videos all the time. Thanks!

I think its interesting how they are about the same weight as world class shotput athletes as high-schoolers, could this indicate peaking early?

we’d say no. they both had a lot to left. if graining remains as the mature physically so should results.

Get more explosive with power cleans and plyometrics. Get stronger with bench squat and overhead press and work on technique you’ll throw 50 fast

Although I am appreciative of this coach's time in trying to help many of us grow into the nuances of the shot put I have never heard a guy talk so much and say so little. There is relatively little actual technique instruction given in this video. He constantly discusses his "pillars" and does nothing to state the specifics. Frustrating because you trust him to give a little more -

if you want in-depth detailed info. check out out our TCR system. we were simply providing insights and simplification of 3 key areas of focus. this was never intended to be a step by step guide. that would be hours long. lol
