Awesome video mate. Really great to see some system behind all those great athletes. Italian twist is great! Requires the most athletic abilitys. Good sence of relaxaton and flexibility are also required. By the way: Zane weir is maybe the most astonishing Athlete of our times. Throwing 22 with 180kg Bench @ 260 lbs bodyweight. I think everybody should have a look at his technique.
Never got behind the style of Mika Halvari. Huge number of practice throws had been reportet. Also a 20m stand throw. Maybe just insanly strong and fast.
Keep on going for us shot maniacs !

Fwiw, I disagree with the premise. Generally, spin shot putters are trying to hit a power position that they can optimally apply power from to finish the throw. Look at enough people practicing the craft and you’re bound to pick up on similarities.
Arguably, you could say there was the “Oldfield” style where they were trying to hit what might be considered a traditional glide style power position, and now the modern era of spin shot putters that have given in to a full rotational finish. Not sure I’d agree, personally, as I think the successful “Oldfield” era guys were ending up with rotational finishes.
Ultimately, all successful spin shot putters will train themselves to move in a way that is optimal for them. While all of us look to these guys for inspiration and try to mimic guys like Kovacs, Crouser, Nelson, Barnes and so forth, individually our own coordination, strength and even anatomy will ultimately determine what we look like in the circle.
I think principles of balance, speed, properly timed separation and finishing power are ultimately the pieces most important to pursue rather than pursuit of exactly duplicating a successful pro.
Just the humble opinion of a high school coach out here doing my best for the kids I coach.

The purpose of the video is to bring clarity to the spin. Many throwers throw way different from others yet achieve similar results. I made this video to show the general movement patterns that lend themselves to elite performances. Of course no one thrower will look exactly like another; as you said we are all built different. But there are similarities in rhythm and technical positions that I think need to be understood.

I'm guessing that anyone watching this video would already know who Crouser is.
