@@edwardlutz935, if it is one of the few mugs you have and you use it every day, it may be a bargain. Morning Scott, I'm still on the Central coast of California in Pismo. Sunny and around 70 degrees here, I think we will finally get some rain next week. Summer of 1971 and hitchhiking up interstate 5 from CA got to Seattle. First stop was REI downtown in their old brick building. Went there to find a pay phone, remember them? Did some looking around, even back then couldn't afford to buy anything, just had money for food. Thank goodness now for Amazon and their locker system. Great store, just can't believe the prices there. Moving on, at 22:00 into ur video u explain ur parking style in West Seattle in a residential area. I believe this was probably the cause of you being asked to move or leave Newport, OR a couple of months back. Just my opinion and see down the road.

Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I have been an REI member for decades. I started out with mail order then online. I had never been to a store until 2011 and I flew into Seattle and my sister took me to that flagship store. I went to customer service and got them to look up my membership number and they printed it on a card for me. The store manager came out to meet me, because she said I had the oldest membership she had even seen. When I told her I had never been in one of their stores she was really surprised, but back in the day; army surplus, make your own or mail order were the only choice we had for camping and backpacking equipment. I purchased a replacement for my compass, that got a bubble form flying and my headlamp with a lighter one. Both items are still in use. Seattle traffic and the "5", were exhausting and reminded me of Houston.. once out of town I loved my visit to the state. Thank you for taking us along on your Seattle adventure.
Thanks for the wonderful videos Scott, this is my comfort channel after an over stimulated day. I watch every video. You bring a relaxed time.

REI is so cool!!! That would spell danger zone for me, I'd do it anyway 😅 You shared some really beautiful views, ive never been in Washington state, it seems pretty nice. Your videos are a pleasant calm in a present stormy season. I really appreciate them and your gentle demeanor & great sense of humor! So glad you can find nice little eatery's with "real" food! I have a hard time adjusting to a twenty dollar sandwich tho....That may be my age talking...😂 Thank you so much, your inate kindness shines brightly. 💞
Thanks Dawn. Seattle is expensive but a nice place to visit
I was just in Seattle for 3 days and I didn’t notice any REI store!☹️☹️☹️☹️
Really? This particular one is a few feet off the 5 freeway
We didn’t have a car! We just took advantage of the wonderful link rail system! Next time I will look for that place!🙏🙏🙏
I love the beautiful fireplace! Wishful thinking for me too!
The Swinery awesome name😀
Thank you
I use plain Greek yogurt in place of sour cream. There’s a subtle difference, but works fine for me.
🌿🌸Here In Michigan just barely at start of Springtime and not desiring to hurry the Seasons along, yet pleasant to note the Autumnal Beauty of the changing leaf color in this video along the city streets and then within the Woodland Forest... 🌾🌿
Nice jacket & beautiful store! Do they have an elevator for those that can't handle stairs? Lovely trail also, thanks for sharing!
Yes, there’s an elevator
@@StaticCamperVan Nice!
We have a store like that here in Midwest, called BassPro and I can spend hours in there😅
You “polished off “ that burger, now I’ve got “burger on the brain”, have to make one now.😂🍔
Thank you for taking the time to create this video.
I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed this video. Great story about your first REI visit.
