i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Ibrahim Alvin thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The fact that John says he hasn’t played or taught chess because he wanted to really focus on producing the videos speaks to how important and serious he takes his job. I’m sure the videos will be superb.
JB is always casually dropping wisdom. "If you have a choice between two options that, one looks messy one looks safer and you think they are about equivalent in terms of an advantage, you should go for the one where your opponent has less counter-play" *sips coffee* .... just a really nice pawn mass here.
John has taught me so much about chess. Every day even though he wasn't posting videos, I'd watch previous videos, and learn from his moves. I'd usually fall asleep watching his chess videos.
I remember I was sad in 2017 around Christmas. I had just lost my awesome job. And on Christmas Day, John uploaded an awesome Christmas Chess video. It was one of the best parts of my Christmas :)
So nice to see you back, and on Lichess too :) Cannot wait for the videos for 100 Endgames You Must Know! Also, not a big deal at all, but your layout had your video covering the material you'd captured so we couldn't see you were up any material throughout -- perhaps next time on Lichess your video could go on the left of frame covering the chat / spectators? Just a thought. Thanks for the informative game.
And the greatest chess tutor on RUclips is back! John, you are the only chess-related channel I can benchwatch for hours without being bored. You have definitely contributed to my rapid improvement on making solid moves and thinking. Thank you for your content, keep it up!
My man! Great to have you back. Ive gotten so much better at chess because of you. These videos help me *think* when playing instead of just reacting. It is really appreciated. Went from 800-1405 in a year, playing limited games and actually studying my games after I play them. So thanks for that.
Hi John, I'm new in chess, and I've learned a lot from your vids on chess principles. I do apply them playing against my computer, for the time being I have 2 main roads for improvement: 1-be patient and think twice before moving , and 2- look at opponent threats. I realized that I've watched 84 of your standard chess vids over last month ! I'm progressing in understanding all of your points, options, threats, moves. You are by far the best teacher on youtube. Thanks to you, my learning from your vids made me going from frustration of losing 90% to having fun battling and winning 50%. But I understand it will be a long road to climb the ladder reaching 1000. Being now retired I'll have time to play and learn. Thanks again 👍
Hey Big J! Been a while since I stopped by! Congrats on passing the big 100k Mark! You gotta show us your 100k RUclips Play button when they send it. Maybe a special video or something even! Good to see you again!
Would love to see you make GM one day but your excellence in teaching chess is really exceptional. There's a reason people always recommend your videos to those looking to learn. I also know you've tutored some players who have gone on to become very strong, obviously the natural strength of a student is a factor, but a good teacher makes all the difference in the world, in any discipline. Thanks for all the videos and free knowledge John
Happy New Year, brotha. I love the videos. I've been playing my whole life and am at around a 1600 rated ELO. What I like is that even though you're miles ahead, you are pretty down to earth and humble about your play. You explain it all very simply that anyone at any skill level can pick up on. Keep it up
hey John, happy New Year! thanks so much for the time and effort you put into your work and the chess community. just wanted to say that I don't think anyone (back me up with likes, y'all) minds your computer fan as much as you do, lol. it's really no big deal
Exceptional good move from you to come back this year John, cause it gave me a chance to still being able to thank you so much for all the videos you recorded, and all the lessons you gave us in 2019. I am sure many, with me have became much better players thanks to you! I wish you a Great 2020 with good health, freedom and happiness! See you in 2020
Love your vids man. Been watching you since about 700 Elo and now I'm 1300. Not necessarily thanks to you but your climbing the rating ladder especially helped along with other educational videos
“Probably just could’ve done better on my time management as usual you guys”... you do poorly on time management because you think a lot ! No wonder you are so good... I for one blunder a lot due to lack of thinking... and watching you take your time teaches us how important calculation is in chess
Thank you for sharing and instructive analysis. Interesting that as soon as the engine was turned on, the fans started to spin fast. You can hear them clearly.
Hey john! This is zach a barista you once knew who moved :) I followed many moons ago but here I am on New Years In the middle of the night watching for the first time. You seem to be a legend and I am truly impressed with your skill and delivery in this video and others. Hope all is well for you and yours and will continue to watch as you post videos moving forward. Btw... I thought WoW pvp had strategy. I literally can’t keep up with these moves.
Dude!! Great to hear from you, Zach! Appreciate you still keeping tabs on my content. Lots of strategy in chess indeed :) What are you up to these days? Thanks again for watching and for your kind words.
I'm very glad, you're back, John!! So, I have a question, and maybe you can refer me to a video, where you talked about that. As a beginner, I have trouble analyzing my own games. When the engine tells me, I made a blunder, then I can mostly understand why... But when I try to analyze on my own before that (as you recommended), I don't see the critical moments or what I could have done differently. So mostly I just skip aimlessly through the game and become non the wiser. Any tips on how to improve your chess analysis, when you are a beginner and don't have IM chess vision yet? Thank you for all the things I have already learned from you!
GG. Instructive. It is so easy to go wrong as black in Pirc. Wow - that sounds like a TON of work on the ending thing. Hope you get some heavy sales! Have a great new years!
Nice stream John. Nice to hear Your inner thought process. We agreed on a lot of moves in this Game. I was thinking many times on moves and seconds later I hear You mentioning the same move in Your commentary ;)
Hey John, please keep us updated on the 100 endgames videos and how to access them. I’ve been looking for a resource exactly like that. It sounds excellent.
Hi John , it was nice to play with you !
Hope for a revenge game :)
i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Kash Chance Instablaster ;)
@Ibrahim Alvin thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm.
Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Ibrahim Alvin it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass !
@Kash Chance Glad I could help xD
You have no idea how much we've missed you, NO IDEA!
He's too busy for us... Sad times.
Agreed.
@@bencrow6663 Lay off the guilt trip! Let the man live. He'll always come back.
You have no idea and i mean absolutely no idea
The fact that John says he hasn’t played or taught chess because he wanted to really focus on producing the videos speaks to how important and serious he takes his job. I’m sure the videos will be superb.

pestrosianesque
John, never leave us like that again
John has taught me so much about chess. Every day even though he wasn't posting videos, I'd watch previous videos, and learn from his moves. I'd usually fall asleep watching his chess videos.
I've watched multiple chess RUclipsrs during your absence, but no one comes close to the great John Bartholomew. Welcome back my friend!
Very happy to see you back, John. Been missing your videos, bro. I wish you blessing upon blessing concerning your new business ventures!
Your content is great!! thanks for your dedication.
You are undoubtedly one of the best chess teachers and communicators of this generation.
It's a post-Christmas miracle!! What a wonderful surprise to wrap up 2019.
I remember I was sad in 2017 around Christmas. I had just lost my awesome job. And on Christmas Day, John uploaded an awesome Christmas Chess video. It was one of the best parts of my Christmas :)
I’ve been waiting for this moment, John

The explanations are refreshing, glad you're doing okay.
Hey John! So great to see you back-and great video title! This is the video that prompted me to sign up for Chessable. Thanks for all your hard work!
And the greatest chess tutor on RUclips is back! John, you are the only chess-related channel I can benchwatch for hours without being bored. You have definitely contributed to my rapid improvement on making solid moves and thinking. Thank you for your content, keep it up!

I can *almost* forgive your looooong absence because of the brilliant title to this video.
