She does deserve an Oscar for that performance.
I met Annette Bening on a hiking trail in California. She was walking her dog and let me tell you she is more beautiful than her screen image. Always loved watching her movies, including Nyad.
Great movie- I remember the first attempts when I was in high school... very inspiring that she finished in her 60s.
