For those who are confused on how the non-stable stapler works, the stapler cuts a small bit of the paper and folds it tightly to hold it together. It isn't as strong as a actual staple, so I recommend that you treat paper that have been staples with a non-staple stapler with some care or else the contents could get lost!
Hey! A bit late but if you’re looking for a cheaper and more lighter alternative, small binders like the ones from muji are a great way. I have a friend who uses this method so instead of 6 books she carries one small binder and since she’s left handed she just takes a sheet of paper out of the binder to write on and there isn’t a spiral ring to get in the way.
When I went to New York, I found a cute Japanese shop that sells all Japanese stationery you could think of! Yes, it is pricy here in the US ($2.50 a pen - I got a lot of Sarasa pens!) but I actually found some cute design Sarasa pens over there!
Why did I think that you weren't going to Japan until the Summer?? I was so happy and shocked to see this on my feed so early!! 😄 I really want to get that soft ring notebook! I only like spiral bound notebooks but the rings are so painful to deal with lol
There's some really high-quality mechanical pencils out there if that's what your issue is. My top three is: The zebra delguard mechanical pencil that features a mechanism that prevents the lead from breaking when pressing too hard. There are three models, a regular one that's quite light and made of aluminium, a more premium model made out of heavier metal for more comfortable writing, and a 3rd one that has a rubber grip and an eraser that appears when you flip it upside down. I'm pretty sure it only comes in 0.5 lead size. The Kurotoga auto-rotating mechanical pencil uses a "gearbox" system that rotates the lead for you whenever you place your pencil to the paper so it always stays sharp. A metal sleeve slides out when you dispense lead to help protect from breakage and its corners are rounded so it won't catch onto the paper while writing. It's not exactly comfortable to use for long periods of time due to its thin body however. It comes in two models, the regular and advanced. The advanced rotates the lead faster and is designed for users that don't take their pencil off the paper as much while writing. If I remember correctly, it comes in 0.5 and 0.7 size lead. The Dr Grip Play Border Shaker is really good if you tend to write for long periods of time. It's a little heavier than typical mechanical pencils so it writes very smoothly and the grip is really comfortable and will allow you to write for hours without stopping. You can shake to dispense lead, which allows you to keep on writing without changing your grip every time you have to dispense lead. You can also dispense lead by pressing on the top like a traditional mechanical pencil however. It's also designed to be highly customisable, with different coloured rings under the opaque grip you can take out and change the order, and the top has a clear compartment that you can also decorate. It comes in 0.5 lead.
Oh my goodness, I remember buying so much stationery (especially from Tokyu Hands and Takashimaya) when I went to Japan a couple of weeks ago. I miss you Japan!!! 💔
for those who are in asia: Philippines: you can now find mildliners and sarasa pens at National Bookstore. Pretty expensive though. Korea: hunt around myeongdong for artbox, we visited last may and we found what we think is a smaller artbox branch. if you are confused, ask people in olive young stores for directions. Japan: it’s everywhere. the LOFT, Tokyu Hands, etc etc and many road shops. worth it. these are the only countries i’ve been to with really good stationery so check it out. PS: check out muji as well. an oldie but a fan favorite. definitely cheaper in Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan. plus sometimes they have products you can’t find in other overseas muji branches.
You can also find quite a lot of stationary items like the mildliner in Taipei, Taiwan. I go every summer and just want to buy the whole store for school lol
I really loved this Japan stationery haul video!!! It was really fun and entertaining!!!I LOVE Japan!!! I am actually from Japan! But I raised in the US:(I hope you enjoy your new stationary things!! Please make more of these types of video's!!!!
Omg I love your videos. Whenever it’s Monday or Friday. Well in Australia have to wait Tuesday and Saturday but I will straight away watch your videos there so peaceful and your voice is so smooth which helps it and it’s just so perfect don’t know how to describe it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
very like the "stationery Haul" series! I really enjoy this video because I am a stationery addict~ everytime look at your stationery haul, it motivates me to buy something new for myself. XD
Ive only just seen the thumbnail and its already so cute! I love it~ I have three exams this week and I'm watching your videos during my revision breaks to keep me motivated ♡ wish me luck!! :)
Lovely video!!! You know whenever I feel lazy and don't want to work I watch your videos to motivate me. Thank you for your videos. Keep up the good work.
I just went to Japan in January but it was before I was into stationery and bullet journaling... I wish I bought more stationery while I was there!! They have all the good quality stuff for a better price, ugh
just curious, do you have any experiences with using the kokuyo campus smart ring binder for school? i really like the idea of having a notebook with removable pages but still lightweight and easy to carry around, since i never finish my notebooks for some classes and it's such a waste of paper, but i've heard that the rings are prone to snapping open randomly and you have to file everything back in. i see that in some of your past giveaways you've given it away. if you've ever used it, how did it work for you? :)
I've been living in Japan for two year and going back to my home country in a month and I've literally bought so much stationery that it used up half of my storage in my suitcase.
Omg I just left from Japan like last week and I wish I saw you before I left CUZ I was looking at some stationary like EVERYWHERE and I don't know if they were great for school n study stuff. And I saw some binders with refills but I ran out of paper refills I couldn't use it anymore so I didn't buy it if that make sense 😓😢
When I go to Japan and S.Korea early next year I’m honestly going to lose all my money to stationary and clothes. This video just reminded how much stationary I will probably buy ahahaha
Parents: you don’t need more pens!!!
Me: bUt thIs oNe hAs iCeCreAm oN iT

"...and then I got more Sarasa pens" I don't blame you for buying so many. Sarasas are so smooth
Celestia Brown she doesn't use the limited ones and she swaps out the sarasas refils for EnerGel ones xd
But I run out of ink IMMEDIATELY compared to other pens. Or it it because I study a lot?? Hope that I am not alone
roman reigns maybe it’s just you, I study a lot too, but I’ve had the same zebra Sarasa pens for a couple of months
My sarasas are scratchy and skips on the ink although there is a lot of ink left

Hai Victoria ikr once the metal rings on my notebook broke and scratched me. I literally had a big giant bloody scar on my arm.
That sounds horrible! I hope it healed well. I hate when the rings start unwinding as well and they become so sharp and unsafe :/
Reem Lkharz nooo that’s awful!
Yeah I'm a leftie so spirals either hurt me or get in the way so my notes are in the middle of the page
Hai Victoria yeah....it healed a long time ago. Thank you for caring Jasmine and Victoria ♡ You guys are two of my favorite youtubers
If I went to Japan, all my money would go to stationery stuff! I really chasing after theses Daiso mildliners!
I can’t wait to buy some of these when I go to Japan! :))

Malaysia: there's an online store called stickerrificstore.com
