A great alternative for Hold is Forest! It doesn't give you discounts, but for every session you successfully complete, it plants a tree in real life🙈💚
To be honest, I bought a lot of expensive pens. I realized I'm stuck in the handwriting. But I see you're doing wonders with pens for a reasonable price. You're teaching new things. Thank you so much.
simpinqkitkats they just meant it as a joke, i dont think there was any malicious intent. however, you’re right, it’s best to focus on only spreading positivity! have a great day/night :)
I LOVE Emm'as printables! I used to print out the calendars and such for my own notebook. I'm not sure if it makes a difference for you, but last semester I ended up using 32lb paper to print Emma's study printables for my circa (Levenger's disk notebook system) and loved how smooth it was, that and the thicker paper made it easier to move things around. Sometimes I have a bunch of index cards punched for quick reminders (like potential test questions) or things I want to ask in class. Last semester I also used them to summarize the lecture, so that it is easier to study for the test. Now that I think about it, I guess it is like the Cornell notes, just without the sections on the paper, and more movable. I don't know how you deal with loose leaf papers, but I also got a 1-2-3 punch from Levenger that I used to take to school with me. It is a super light punch, and can often be found on sale, a little under $20 but not including shipping. It is sometimes hard for me to get to Staples, and I really like some of the extras Levenger carries (and their paper feels pretty nice too). This semester I'm trying to go digital but still, carry my junior notebook when I need to make a quick note. The printables work really well, and I'm having fun color coding things without worrying about pens running out of ink.

About your FAQ section, I just want to bravo your confidence in yourself with the questions about you voice and your personal matters! You are so confident and I understand so much how it can be frustrating. Your voice is your voice and anyone who finds it annoying should just leave because you don’t need those negative people!
I just wanted to let you know, you definitely get me hyped to study. I always start my studying by rewatching your videos to get me to just DO IT. Also, great video! I just bought myself some stuff you recommended because I've been slouching a lot and I have a little package to look forward to ^^
A cheap alternative to using the ark notebooks is using a binder. Overall a binder can hold way more than any fancy notebook, and it is really easy and cheap to hole punch loose leaf or graph paper without spending a whole lot of money. Also most binders have a clear pocket in the front and back for easy customizability. With a binder you can have all your notebooks, and folders in the same place.

my study favorite recently is this note-taking/study technique which i call the rainbow method. it’s when u let each of the topics of a subject correspond to a color of the raindbow. for example, ur first topic has red-themed notes, ur second has orange, and so forth. until you’ve got urself a more or less a rainbow by the end of the quarter. it helps me associate and connect topics with each other in order more quickly, because i automatically picture a rainbow 🌈 hope this helps others too !

Thanks for the video ~ If anyone needs it, there's a site I use a lot for math called Desmos. It's a graphing calculator in which you can type the function you need, and the app will draw this function's graph. There are lots of other options, such as inputting some functions at once to compare between them and finding specific dots on the graph, and I find this really helpful for math problems :D
Dont have a complex about your voice, I found it very sweet and nice. Im not kidding! I also find your videos very inspiring and they have helped me a lot this academic year. Thank you very much, I really apreciate your work!
Whenever i see the notification of your new video i click on it without thinking . Incredible video as always even before i see it i know it is gonna be brilliant 😊🤗
I just wanted to say thank you. In your past video you explained that you like to watch a Ted Talks every weekday nothing to motivate you. Your videos are my motivation. I find myself much more driven and collected after just listening to you speak/explain your process and watching you write. I'm currently studying for my series 6, 7, & 63 and you've helped me immensely. Thank you for all you do ♥️
An alternative for Hold is Pocket Points in the US! It is very similar - you open the app and lock your phone, which earns you points. It’s interesting because you can use it outside of campus! You get double points when you are on campus, but you also get points while you are driving without being on your phone, at work, or even just a study session. Over the summer, I would use it while I was at work and just accumulate points. It’s awesome! I mainly use the points to get free movies at Redbox!
on emma studies theres a cheat sheet for any type of handwrting you want print that out and practice everyday i picked up cursive handwriting in a week now the cursive comes naturally when i write notes

4:19 i admire your ability to take notes without (fully) understanding the topic. my notes need to be re-elaborated by me after a lesson as if trying to explain them to myself. otherwise to me it’s just like a synthesized textbook! “you only fully understand a topic if you could explain it to a child” and that’s what i aim for when studying. most of the time it works, but in math i’m the child.

Thank you for making these videos, I discovered your channel not too long ago and since then I´ve felt so much more motivated to study, you´ve really helped me a lot with it and to find some sort of new perspective of a way to enjoy or make it easier to study, take notes and so. Even your morning routine has helped me to get up a few times that I didn´t have much sleep but had to wake up early. Also, I love listening to asmr rooms while doing homework and studying too! It helps me so much to ignore the background noise around me and keep concentrated in a more relaxed way. I´ve also began to use Forest around a month and a half ago due to your suggestion in one of your videos and it´s very helpful! I love your tips and how you´re truly inspiring for such and important thing as it is to study, thank you so so much, darling.
You deserve more than a billion subscribers because you inspire me to study and get good grades, you are amazing and unique! Keep posting videos! You make me so happy because I get good grades now! Thanks for posting these videos in your channel! My notes are so pretty and neat I love studying now!😁
I just wanted to say thank you for making your videos so inspiring. I’ve been watching your videos for half a year now and I’ve been using them. They’ve helped me so much. My teacher even showed my notes to the class as an example and sponsored me student of the month. Keep up the great work and keep inspiring others.❤️
omg I also use that app :D (from sweden btw) and it's sooo cool, i've gotten so many nice discount from my local bookstores, cafés and so on!!! yay for you, you're amazing and happy studying! :D
😍😍😍 Harry potter surround sound I'm definitely gonnna check this out.. Thnku so much for symbola im gonna use this next semester for my economic's class
Love your videos. I saw you recommending the arc notebook. It looks really good and efficient. But that's too expensive for me. I just take notes on A4 paper and insert them into my ring file according to their chapters and subject. I think this is the way that suits me the best. By the way, I just subscribed and I really love your videos. :)
I would recommend you to use Pliot Juice up 04. It writes very smooth and does not smudge as it dries very quickly. And, it is perfect for small handwriting .
In Canada & the US you can download Forest. Similar to the app you mentioned, but it won't give you real-time rewards. Instead, you set timers for how long you want to focus for, and if you don't use your phone during that time, you grow a tree. The more focused time, the bigger the forest! There is a paid version as well, but I've only been using the free one. Super motivating, and you can even set some quiet nature sounds to play!
I m a medical student and this year two channels that are helping a lot are osmosis and Stanford25.. They give so many relevant informations and so helpful
I have to tell you that you're the best study youtuber ever ♥️♥️♥️ I love all your videos and they inspire me a lot. I'm 18 and this year is my first year in Law School and everything is quite hectic for me but I was able to pick up things and stay organised thanks to your videos 😊

There is a paid version as well, but I've only been using the free one. Super motivating, and you can even set some quiet nature sounds to play!
It's available in Norway too! I used it every day (even included it in a video) before I started using Hold ☺️
