And still a fraction of the cost of a new truck….but yet 100x better! Great work!

I'm doing this build right now on my '04 F-350. I just bought the KDD stage 1 with 500hp. I have the stage 1 Twisted tranny on its way as well. I'm not looking to race anyone, just tow heavy and haul reliably. I'm pretty apprehensive to dig into my currently working truck, but your videos are very inspirational, so thanks!
I also got the military discount from both KDD and Twisted Diesel and seriously appreciate their support.
I'm leaving mine as ugly as it was before the build. No lift, no crazy bumpers. Yours looks seriously badass, but I don't want any of that attention.
Also, I'm looking for updates on your channel. We need some more content!

Thank you for sharing brother. I have done about the same build on my 2005. I had my motor rebuilt with new heads instead of going with a long block. The only difference is i rebuilt both my front and rear end with dura tracs with all new suspension including leaf springs and sways bars. I put the ssbc brakes front and rear with all new brake components and steering box. I went with 205/30 injectors instead of 190's. Also, i have not touched the interior or exterior except for mirrors and headlights and a completely new ac front and rear. I would do it again and I think it is worth every penny spent. Your front-end conversion and interior look amazing. You are correct when you say something this big should not move like it does. I think people will be shocked when you compare it against the Hellcat.

Going through the same situation, you basically built a new vehicle with upgrades. The nice thing is that is unique and this is something made to your specs and that’s priceless. Just make sure you make it functional too since this will be a vehicle you will enjoy for many years to come and only you will appreciate the value and the effort you put in it.

Such a badass build . Great job and great review and everything. That motor sounds so healthy. It's so worth every penny. I recently bought my father in laws 06 f250 he bought brand new and let it sit in the backyard for the last 5 years. My wife wanted it so bad so I sold her edge sport and bought it for 10k. I put at least 3400$ into it so far and he put all the bulletproof diesel upgrades on it so it's a win. Also thank you for your service sir

New to your channel, just saw this video, and I am super impressed! I’m working on an excursion for myself, as well as one for a family friend, and this gives me a lot of ideas! And I totally agree that the cost you put into this truck is absolutely worth it, when compared to the price of a new diesel, especially because there’s no good diesel family haulers out there!

  • @truthseeker5890

It's worth it. No worries. There's nothing on the market anywhere close to the quality of an Excursion built vehicle, for ~$37,000.00... nothing. Today, most of what's on the market is junk.
Those things are built solid... probably the best in terms of workmanship that Ford ever built.
The body looks good and the rest can be rebuilt forever. Keep a close eye on the body and that will last forever also; there are plenty of guys who enjoy body work and paint jobs; that's no problem at all.
Did you ever learn what happened to the original motor? I heard you mention a lifter but what exactly happened? What engine was in this one? I know several guys who ran the 7.3's to 400k and 500k miles with no major repairs. That Navistar was a very good engine and still is. Part of the reason that I came across your videos is because I'm starting to look for an Excursion with the 7.3 in it for a rebuild also.
Again, don't be concerned about the cost of that engine and transmission. In reality, those numbers are not that high, considering what you have. That's a diesel, a new diesel, sounds like a high-performance diesel, and the transmission to match with it. I would have expected the number(s) to be higher. If the number for the engine and the transmission is ~$25,000.00, you got a deal!
No concern whatsoever! You did good! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

No question, all money well spent! Another great video and looking forward to your future videos… Don’t forget the wiper cowl video! All other cowl installs I see seem to have guys cutting the cowel a bit where the wiper fits through! Hopefully that is not necessary and a little more patience & fidgeting with the wiper transmission placement can make it all align! Interested to watch as I too have to tackle this soon! Thanks again for your time into these videos.
