- After DLC the Stir of Dawn update, Esdras is given more voice and quotes for boss fight. I'm gald because he is one of the funniest bosses. I like player-like style bosses like Esdras.
Because so, I fought one more time against Esdras after DLC update.
And, his spinning rush pattern finally becomes uncountable. I think that bug makes him so inspid, so I'm glad about that bugfix.

I like the VA of the after DLC, his voice is mature and soldierlike.

His original voice never had a pre-boss battle dialogue or post-battle and we never heard him grunt or call his sister when his health is nearly depleted

He has so much personality now! I remember the original game he had a defeat dialogue, but in most playthroughs of other people, I never heard him say it which made me think I was hallucinating they ever existed. But the DLC, proved they did exist. Thanks for posting!

I think that the passion they put into the Spanish dubbing is better, the cry of Esdras towards his sister feels more desperate while here it feels more like asking for support

Indeed. The "Hermana" in Spanish is more vulnerable. It sounds like "Sister I need your help. I didn't want to, but please help me". Overall the Spanish VA is so much better, except perhaps Escribar.

I just watched it in spanish because of your comment. I prefer the english version, because he sounds more zealous in his openingspeech and the his attackcries seems more heavy, like realky taxing. By the Point where he pleas to his sister i feel his exhaustion and pain from the fight fill his voice, underlying the need of Help.
And the music carries alot!
Still both versions are pretty awesome
Can I just say how amazing this guy is?
I Just finished 100%-ing the game after getting the good ending (minus ng+); and I still think he's the most memorable boss in the game, despite fighting him about 1/3 of the way through. You can actually feel how hard he fights and how desperate he is to win. His voice acting was leagues above nearly every other character, and his attacks all feel incredibly powerful and deliberate. Plus I live love fights where the boss is more similar to the player, instead of following a completely different ruleset. I may not understand why he fights, but *goddamn* has he earned my respect

Okay, Esdras in spanish and english have a very different but equally terrifying speech and personality
In here we see him more agressive but i must say kinda prideful manner of speaking, in here it feels as if he feels like he's going to win
while the spanish one seems more melancholic and motivated, he's a little afraid but still will put up a fight for his honour, he's more broken
And the english doesnt sound so hurt when he loses, he's just satysfied he could fight this long and its happy to finally go to his sister side once more

@@OsirisMawn there are a lot of videos on RUclips. Also, given the fact that the game takes place in Spain I'd suggest playing the game with Spanish voices to get a little bit more immersion

Nunca en mi vida disfruté tanto de una pelea con un jefe, esdras para mí es el mejor jefe de todo el juego, la ambientación, la música, la dificultad, a mi criterio uno de los mejores jefes de todos los tiempos, como será que me gusta tanto este jefe que este video como 30 veces llevo viéndolo jajajajaja, muy buen juego y la musica es una obra aparte

Pode ser verdade mas em minha opinião Crisanta é muito mais carismática e muito mais desafiante. Ainda mais quando vice deve derrota lá duas vezes.

The story is terrible, he lost his sister during the war, this sister who protected him during his lifetime.
When she died, his sister wanted to continue to help her brother, even if it meant paying the price. No. Even before DLC, he said with voice while stalking Penitent One who enters the convent and Merciful Dream.

U have a good spot to farm tears in the last final zone - 50.000 / 15min
This was True Torment(NG+) mode, so I had not many usage to use stacked tears.

Also we need a standalone perpetva boss fight on the next dlc
We already have a standalone Perpetva fight at the Mountains of Endless Dusk. Also, considering this game is mostly based around medieval christianity, I'd say it only makes it more fitting.
