@@KiithnarasAshaa The recent update made it so that bombs and dumb fire missiles inherit the "hostile" nature from the ship that fired them, so this likely wasn't working because he wasn't marked as hostile to the owner of the Polaris.
For the A2 bombs, lock the impact point with the green circle, then don't look the ground anymore, just use the cross and the point you'll see on the bomb hud. You can also change the scale to have more precision or to get info from further. Train a bit and you'll be ready to impact a baby fly's leg 😁
i have train bombing last almost week. and it's kinda expensive training 😅 even with a1(55k one set). use few hundred k everyday. but gonna train until i learn bc i love idea to bomb sh1t out of scrapyard before landing. they rob me once so i do everything to prevent it next time and these ships are perfect add on 😂

I think that PDC only target whatever has a lock on you - rockets and torpedoes need a lock on, so I think that even if you shoot a rocket that PCD normally target without locking on target it wouldn't shoot either.
Targeting Polaris is required for PDS to work. Additionally, PDS is highly dependent on server health, so it is not very reliable at this point in development.
Yeah, he commits some violent crime in every video and almost always talks like it was accidental - but EVERY video? How come I don't crime accidentally all the time? Lol. Good content tho.
If you have noticed, the PDCs only target a missile that has been target locked to the Polaris....so dumb firing produces no PDC response. Since the Bombs are not locked on to the ship, it makes sense they would not fire back at bombs. Not sure if the target locked missiles only thing is intended or a bug. Good stuff! Also, I was only able to get Eclipse torps to lock at 5km minimum in PTU AC.
oh BTW in this last PTU pach the invisible thing blocking some trucks form getting into the polaris low bay seems to be fixed. we got a nova tank and centurion in to the lower bay but u got drive backwards and fast to get in, got remove to guns for the nova
I believe when using green circle, your suppose to fly towards the target until you get a signal on your hud (a green circle in the middle of your reticle with an audible bip) and then release the bomb asap.
Reason it does not react, its because its not locked like missles. If you dumbfire a torp on an polaris, it wont react either. I would like to see that also.
Same. When they just released it seemed to work fine to fly and drop on target. Then they changed something or whatever happened and they always seem to never hit target even when it say it should be hitting target circle.
Really hope they don't make the Polaris shoot bombs given the latest community posts suggests they are massively cranking up the price of them. People will just land a Polaris at JT and go AFK while auto-clapping bombs.
Maybe it only shoots on projectiles locked to it? Since bombs do not lock on targets, they wont be shot. Actually thats good. Imagine your PDS starts shooting the bombs or torpedos of a nearby friendly ship. ;)
May be wrong, but I believe that if you didnt always tilt the A2 -10 to -20 degrees down but kept it straight and actually relied on the HUD the bomb would hit
Is there a bug issue where when you use a bomber dropping bombs, you cannot pick up weapons, perform takedowns or use weapons when doing FPS missions? Because that's what happened to me after using the A1 spirit bomber.
A2 bomb HUD is somewhat wrecked... the Green circle (desired drop zone) is not accurate It is hitting at least 1 circle short of desired drop zone. WHICH, you have to place the desired green circle approx 1-2 after/further to your target in order to use the HUD guide (so does the red circle) (decouple + constant speed 15X + ALT 4.5~5km, under 10ms ping + 250ms server fps condition, i have no idea if these affects)
Now I wonder is it possible to kamikaze Polaris with A2 in space, just by getting close to hull and dumbfiring all bombs at once. Either bombs will trigger in proximity or PDC will shoot them. Considering 200m explosion radius this can be fatal for Polaris.
It would not be fair for the turrets to shoot out bombs and missiles because their is no walk around other than the speed the bomb reaches the target like if they made bombs with a propulsion then they could balance it but with missiles you can dumb fire them and blind spots or if they gave the A1 an emp to help disable the turrets long enough to drop a bomb. Also think of it this way since you not (being targeted the way missiles do then how will the defense turrets know to shoot the bombs if their is no target lock) so their is your answer. Maybe try that engage the ship or shoot the ship first then drop the bombs.
I don't think the PDS fire at the bombs as they're not smart weapons i.e. they're not locked on. They also don't fire at torpedos which have been dumb fired, so I guess they only shoot at something that's locked on
So, if you drop a bomb from an A2 and grab it with like a SRV tractor beam could you use the SRV as a makeshift torpedo? Or can you just not grab bombs in the first place?
Some of those torps looked like they hit but i think they were shot down. see how many torps aimed at the rear engines it takes to destroy the ship vs the front of the ship. it should be destroyed in two or three torps.
oh they updated the main turret weapon and locked it up x.x the dps is worse the a S6 deadbolt but the alpha is insanly high.... idk i kinda hoped it would pack more of a punch bcus its bespoke.
and i think they overdid the power of bombs damage that impact the components i mean it seems everything u shoot at it bombs torps whatever something that does some high damage just disables the ship faster than it should all that hp on the ship just for an a1 bomb that does 40 k hp to completely disable the ship...
To hit precisely where you want to drop, balance your ship perfectly right on top of that spot, then fly straight up without any change to pitch or roll, and only fly up about 500m above the impact point. That way you will hit your target every time perfectly. And there's not really much of a point dropping multiple bombs at the same time, as every bomb will move the ship away.
I wonder if it would be possible to tracktor beam the bomb from a second seat on dragonfly and than fly it stealthy with minimal signature in to some bigger ship without being noticed.
The physics aren't bad at all. It's the incredibly shit server framerate that makes it janky. Doesn't matter how good your physics are if your rigid bodies are traveling dozens of meters per frame.
That first bomb hit was EPIC.
Heard that the PDS isn't working because the ship isn't getting targeted...
Indeed. PDCs will only target missiles that are targeting the parent ship, not generally-hostile missiles or approaching missiles.
@@KiithnarasAshaa The recent update made it so that bombs and dumb fire missiles inherit the "hostile" nature from the ship that fired them, so this likely wasn't working because he wasn't marked as hostile to the owner of the Polaris.

Should repeat this test in today's patch with PDC targeting dumbfired missiles.

I would love to see what the engine room looks like in soft death in space considering all the coolant floating.
It will not be animated. This isn’t real life. It has to be coded, and never will be.
@SpaceDad42 I understand that. I am guessing the liquid disappears when in that state. They even have coolant tanks which suggests this.
Boms usually works with shockwaves to be more deadly so the less atmosphere the lesser the bang it should be.
0:35 "Oops."
I see we have similar taste in A1 skins 🙂👍
oops .. lol goood work on the first bombs
I cannot figure out why the bombs are so inaccurate. I feel like they aren't correctly inheriting the momentum of the ship, but I can't tell for sure.

well the made it so it does shoot bombs now which is good cause the a2 and a1 tactics were so bad for JT but then again just bring another polaris

@cpt_foxy Does dumbfire onto the polaris with missiles still make the pdc work or is it lock on only?
You were not hostile to the Polaris. You need to be hostile before launching.
the PDCs arent shooting because the bomber isnt recognized as an enemy ship, not because of signatures

t sucks the way the PD works(or rather, doesnt work).

That does work but bombs have a timed lifespan and if you bump it all with your srv its game over.
Did you test dumbfired torps?
How high is the pressure of this moon? Just to verify if they reckon the atmospheric pressure.
So an Eclipse can sneak to 5km on a Polaris and fire its load.. of S9 torpedos, with a 33% chance to hit
The PDC system only shoots locked missiles and torpedoes

Bombing needs to get fixed. A1 bombs should just be considered like size 7 given there size. Also all the bombs need buffs. Legalize nuclear bombs.

Pretty good you say, really? Ships are made of paper even a gentle wind can blow a 500 tonne ship away.
you dont know how to drop? i can hit a player with the bomb... watch some videos on dropping this is how i figured it out...
