- The once medieval theme park now lies empty and is slowly being taken over by nature and unfortunately is also being trashed by vandels.

Ah how I miss this place, I remember going on Knightmare when it first arrived and watching the jousting tournaments :) loved the video!
Rip camelot you made a lot of kids happy including me
Seeing it like that kinda breaks my heart I had such good times with my family
walshy38 i had never been but its always sad to see a place that brought familys good times close.
A lot of the rides were sold to local theme parks. Gullivers world took a few! I've been fortunate to do some training here last year. Was amazing to explore!
They have given excalibur 2 to southport
Ryan Beet Exscalibur 2 isn’t at southport now, they probably srapped it.

i worked here for 4 years before it closed down i use to operate knightmare and the other big rides i miss is it so much if it was ever to open again but i doubt it will i would sure go back nice video dude

About 3 r 4 years ago I came here on a school trip and I remember going on all the rides I am literally crying my eyes out watching this 😥😪😭

i was in here yesterday and did a load of stills photography , wondered round for nearly 2 hrs before security approached me !

It's a shame about camelot it was my childhood getaway, I'd have loved to have taken my daughter there too as she gets older, oh well least there's still alton towers and blackpool pleasure beach, great video though matey.

The truth is it’s the owners fault it shut, their plan all along was to shut the theme park down because they didn’t like theme parks. I’ve researched that.

Have u been back in 2024 bro we just come back now and its totaly changed now there still are sime reminats of camelot left here but not much.

I went myself only a few weeks ago and saw exactly what you saw although you missed a part behind the front castle part where there have been props left (mannequins, roller coaster carriages). just to let you know :)
FrankieBaybeee thanks :) sounds like you had a good time. would have loved to seen the roller coaster carages but when i went all i knew was how to get to the jousting section lol maybe a revist is in order next year (if its still there)

been 2day the last time I was here was in 1997 or 1998 so bizzare many memories as a kid here tower of terror best ride galleon log flume so sad I am to see it this way.somebody reopen it it cud still have potential

Thanks for the video. Was that ghost train called The Mad Monastery? Was it in the bigger of the 3 tents, as I thought that was all for food.
The ghost train I remember looking quite shit from when it was actually running. I saw a prop we used to sell in ASDA in one of the photographs. Compare it to the scenery that was on the Tower of Terror, it is no surprise that the place lost all it's magic.
Also was wondering if the stream went through the whole park, but these are silly questions now. :p

I really want to go and look round here, is it still accessible? Also what has happened to all the carts that would have been on the tracks of the roller coasters?

How did u manage to get in pal me and my son went up a few week ago in June 2019 and we could not get in as it was all fence of we are planning a revisit to film for my channel can u tell us how and we're u got in any help would be great fully received many thanks

You make more noise than a heard of elephants. If you are going to sneak into places at least learn how to be quiet. Otherwise approach the security and ask permission, a lot of times if you are straight up with them and they are confident that you are not there to do damage, which you are clearly not, they are more than happy to let you document things. I remember this place when I was about 8 years old, some 32 years ago. Such a shame to see it abandoned but then thats what happens when you dont keep up with blackpool and the almighty alton towers. Keep exploring young fella but my advice to you is always ask permission first, if that fails learn how to be stealthy and take your time.
martin alderson This was my first time here, been back many times and spoke to the security. Being sneaky is the only way in, have other videos too this one was unplanned.

I enjoyed this, brought back loads of memories and liked the fact that he didn't like the graffiti and didn't touch or take anything. Excellent video. and I have seen the others you did which I enjoyed as well. By the way, was that a chest cam and was it a gopro. The next one you'll have to do with a drone haha.
cheers mate, yeah was filmed with a gopro on a chest mount have filmed there twice more since this video where I focus on filming rather then photos aha if you search on RUclips people have filmed with a drone its pretty good.
