- This is the G scale on a diatonic accordion. It's played on a Hohner Panther (GCF or Sol). Practicing the G scale will enable you to learn songs in G faster, such as La Piedrera and Rosa Ana.
A good online resource for diatonic accordion players is the Reyes accordion forum which can be found at www.reyesforo.com.
Much respect to you my friend it's very enlightening these days to see a person like yourself be so skilled and respectful on an instrument and music of a 'different' genre. Music is powerful!
Thank you, Ariel. I appreciate the kind words. Keep playing!
so awesome!!!! much love from Donna, TX!!!
Thanks so much -- glad you find the videos helpful!
Dude yess finally i find someone who can show me how to play this thing, who doesn't have an accent!! i appreciated so much! keep uploading videos of this measure.
How are you getting on, 7 years later! I only got mine yesterday and only found out today I've a GCF/Sol, so yeah, watching scale clips!
thank you man. I appreciate that you mentioned Sol. You're a good man
Thank you for the instructions. At my old age (70), I would like to learn the accordion Hohner panther. I don't know how much time I have to live, and how hard it is to learn this instrument, but I like the norteño or Tejano music, but most important, do you know of an instructional book that will make very clear on how to start playing this instrument? Thank you very much.
I know I'm pretty randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to watch new series online ?
@Cayson Fletcher Ehh atm I've been using Flixportal. just google after it:) -ahmir
@Ahmir Mekhi Thanks, I signed up and it seems to work =) I appreciate it!!
@Cayson Fletcher Glad I could help :)
why does G go out when everything else goes in? what would happen if you did the opposite? im expecting my panther next week and have no knowledge on the instrument
Different sound I guess I'm learning as well
On a diatonic accordion, if you play the G scale on the G row, every other note must be played by changing the direction of the bellows. The bellows goes in for the G and out for the A, etc. The point he is demonstrating is that by playing across the G and C rows, you can play almost the entire G scale by either pushing in or by pulling out the bellows, which is more efficient.
Lesson for Soy de San Luis?
I got an ADG could you do a tutorial on that when u get a chance ? 🙏🏽
do a lesson on the left hand the bass notes please!!!qq
I have two videos with using the bass notes -- 'La Piedrera - bass (slow)' and 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star With Bass'. Enjoy.
Yikes! Fast! Only got my accordion yesterday and only found out today I've a GCF! It'll be a while!
I never knew I would struggle so much with the accordian than I did with the guitar
