This chick can fly! I work on all those Yellow Helicopters and I watch her takeoffs and landings everyday! She's butter smooth and super cool when she does the ol' ace ventura parking job. Have not met her yet but I think I'll mention this vid when I see her on the flight line.
Welcome back Flying Doodles. Emma will be great at hosting. Sorry to see Dakota not doing it but look forward to more episodes in the near future. Go Emma.
Awesome video...open cockpit WACO is my absolute favorite airplane ever! Emma seems all business with a solid background. Scallywag Air looks like a good reason to pay a visit to Galveston, TX!
Really nice video. Great tour, beautiful plane, excellent pilot/guide. She will be a great host for Flying doodles. She has a very good attitude and energy, and good screen presence.
Reaally cool video, Emma. That's my grand daughter's first name too. Bobby is a swell guy and I've been watching him here for quite some time, and now I can include you as well.. Be safe Emma, always, from the Philippines.
Hey Bobby I am the owner of the 1958 Piper Apache that Dakota filmed and never released. Can you tell me if that video is going to air? If not is your new host willing fo film my airplane again since I live in the Houston area. I would really like for my antique airplane to get on your channel.
It looks like the video (featuring Emma ) was posted to this RUclips channel on Oct 13, 2024. Piper PA-23-160 Apache (N4309P). Video title: "Flying a 65 YEAR OLD Piper Apache Twin" Cheers!
Emma, this is fantastic, I am so happy for you. You have come a long way from Civil Air Patrol. Miss you young lady. I hope to come see you someday soon. I already follow Sailing Doodles and this is super Kewl. You are perfect for being the Host of the show. I look forward to what you bring to the table. Proud of you…❤️🥰👍🤟🙌🤜🤛👏😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Well, since I live in Houston, it looks like I need to take a drive down to Galveston and go for a ride in a WACO. 😃 Years ago, I got to ride in a Boeing PT-17 Stearman. This WACO is calling my name. Thanks for the video! 🙂
That was Awesome. Emma is going to do great. I like her already. I will always have a soft spot for Dakota and I wish her the Best. Welcome Aboard Emma.
Thanks for doing a video on the Waco YMF-5! One of my absolute favorite airplanes! First flight in one was with a retired Air Force pilot who purchased one to give rides. He did a lot of flights in the time he had the plane. But four years after he got it he failed his medical. Sad day for him to say the least.
Welcome to the Doodle Crew Emma!! So smooth you hardly know you even left the field. Emma is going to be an Ace on Flying Doodles. I might have to come take a ride next time I am down there. I am only about 50 miles away.
I had the opportunity to go up in a vintage WWI fighter biplane about 7 years ago. The pilot was a Marine aviator who put it through its paces! I love to fly, but My only experience to that point was commercial airliners. This was friggin awesome! So much fun! Completely different experience from anything I’ve ever seen. Cannot recommend it enough!
Emma, if your finances allow, don't be in any rush to pursue piloting a giant aluminum cigar. In your current gig you get PAID to fly the biplane. Airline pilots dream of the "someday" when they will be able to afford to own a Waco! 13:20 Would be fun to add some flavoring concentrates to your smoke oil. You could fly low just offshore the beach and release interesting scents like: pina colada, butter popcorn, bubblegum, green apple, or "ganja mahn."
Hey Bobby, I believe this young lady is just what the Doodle ordered!! Great voice presence, obviously very qualified, and , best of all, she explains things to those that might not have the same level of knowledge on aviation. One suggestion would be to explain what the acronyms mean..nice job!
@@FlyingDoodles cant go wrong, and walk to Ihop for breakfast 👍🏼 , we have had many near misses lol, yall sailed past us when we were on Carnival Dream in nassau. I didnt know till I saw on an episode😂
Learned my conventional gear and aerobatics from Debby Rihn-Harvey at La Porte Airport when in High School. I can't recommend her FBO enough. I also had a high school job at the Galveston Yacht Marina you flew over working on large big money yachts. My best non-flying job I ever had.
To hepl your tire wear, Desser tire recaps! I work on spray planes and we go through a lot of tires. The rubber on recaps lasts longer than new tires! And they take cores!
She mentioned “Ranger” in her intro interview. I was going to suggest that you go to Ranger to make a video with Jared Calvert and one of his vintage aircraft at that vintage airport.
I live in Dickinson, so I know exactly where you are. I also knew of a white Waco that flew out of Hitchcock, is this the same plane or different? Well, I subscribed so I will be seeing more of this plane, I hope. I love radials. Until next time.
A great airplane to learn to fly in and also to own. Friend of mine owned one for years until Katrina took it apart and insurance company totaled it out.
As someone that has done it all in aviation (well except ballon, glider and rotor; they are on my list), my recommendation is if you can make enough money in a general aviation job, stay with that. I make lots of money in airline commercial aviation, but would much rather be giving airplane tour rides, or maybe a float plane in the Caribbean. Just not enough money.
Why not show SpaceX facility off the wing? Also, would be interesting to be in the air just outside the no fly area during a launch of the a Starship. I would pay for that.
Every time I see a WACO WMF-5 fly I’m reminded of my first flight. I was young (maybe 7 y.o.) and my mom bought me a ticket to fly with Paul Mantz who owned a museum in Orange County, CA. The flight ignited my passion for aviation ever since. Out of high school, I got my A&P then worked for Northrop and the Alaska Airlines. Along the way, I went all over the world and met some amazing people. Never think that your flights won’t affect a person’s life. It did mine, so thank you for exciting passions!
My very first bi-plane ride was with a Lady pilot. I was about 7 and it was in a 1929 Fleet. My second bi-plane ride was the same day in a Travel Aire. A day I will never forget!
@@aviationmayhem She probably just went back to school, or found a better paying job. Kinda doubt she could support herself on Flying Doodles income, plus she was really young.

I wonder if you will get a chance to fly the Gloster Gladiator yes a powerful biplane built for the air force to be Britain's main fighter by the air ministry that believed in Biplanes and propeller aircraft because scared of anything new like Whittles Jet engine in 1929. Until 1936 Hugh Dowding That helped with radar and aircraft spotting systems he made the Hurricane the main fighter made on mass as was set up with Rolls Royce Merlin engine and the Spitfire just in time. But the Gladiator was faster than people thought 840hP Bristol Mercury engine 260 MPH those were built in mass for all over the world's air force in the 1930s. I think it was the fastest Biplane I wonder if you get to try one out?

Saw Emma down in Galveston. Back to the ramp, throttle up, spin around, perfect parking. Jumps out barefoot. She's a badass.
She flies by "the seat of her feet."
