Great video Emma and Cole. Thanks for taking us up in your Aeronca Champ. Emma, you are a natural. Keep doing what you are doing and I can see this channel take off (pun intended). Look forward to your new channel as well.
Great job, Emma and Cole. Your love of aviation is so evident…that’s awesome! We’ve got three airplanes and it is my passion…and now my youngest son’s, too. He’s been flying our Cessna 150 (the type I got my PPL in back in the day). It’s previous two owners (and hopefully it’s current one) used it as a time-builder to get to the airlines. That’s my son’s goal and he’s building time at about 25 hours a week in it. Those old trainers are the absolute best for building time because of how economical they are…so unlike what the flight schools use today.
Looking forward to seeing more videos from the new host. I think they definitely need to be be on sailing doodles when you get your new boat in the water. Great video to see the banter back and forth between spouses.
As a resident of Cincinnati, OH I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Aeronca Aircraft since they originated here. If fact they have a Champ hanging from the ceiling in the Greater Cincinnati Airport. I realize it was a practice session for you but I really enjoyed this episode.
Great intro. Enjoyed the video. Kudos for the slow light demo. But .... do not like when a pilot does not know their V speeds, all of them. Would a DPE accept a response of I would have to look that up?
Great job guys! Beautiful plane, Father in Law had one in Georgia and thrilled the kids with it. Typing this made me remember my Dad flew out of there with the Civil Air Patrol after WWII. Was Scholes ever used in the radio name and is it tower controlled at any time during the day now?
That gas guage looks familiar. I bought my first airplane at HXF Hartford Wisconsin in 1997. Put 430 hrs. on it in 2 years and the only thing that ever failed was a magneto. 85mph was about it for cruise and 4.5 to 5 gal. per hour.
Received my tailwheel endorsement in a 7ac Champ in 1992. If I remember correctly it had heel brakes which I found harder to use than keeping the little wheel in the back! 😂
I'd love to see either a Taylorcraft F-21A or F-21B, or even better an F-22A (good luck finding one). I see that you have a video on the Ryan/North American Navion. I'll be watching that one next. I have a brother who owns a 1949 Ryan Navion A, and he loves it.
I have a L2-B with no door and a 7DC with a seaplane door it’s a welded aluminum tube door. Good on you for taking the dog! Is his name Champ? I like wheelies for X winds…
Hey, great video guys, You should try to do an episode with Cleetus McFarland , he has a RUclips channel and his own airport, he flys a CarbonCub on floats
1100lbs empty?? That's seriously heavy for a Champ. Just finished one with full electrical, starter, alternator, metal spars etc. 948lbs. Turn yours upside down and see what falls out!
You kids are following my path 60 years later , I grew up at the Van Nuys airport and Santa Susanna starting with a 65 Hp Champ my Dad rebuilt in the garage , as the years went by he upgraded and ended with a Aero Commander 680 that Dad's friend and Co Founder of the So Cal Aero Commander Club Bob RA Hoover did the prepurchase inspection of the 680 and I got to fly with Bob many times and watched Bob do the Iced Tea pouring in the back seat of his 500 by that point Dad was President of Omni Aviation Managers an Insurance Co .out of Van Nuys and we Sponsored Many Air Racers in the Reno Air Races with Clay Lacy winning the 1970 National Championship and the same year Clay raced a DC-7 in the California 1000 finishing 6th with Dad's logo 6 foot tall on the sides of the DC-7 and we also Sponsored Miss America and Lyle Shelton in what would later be called Rare Bear , 1972 we moved to Beaumont and we flew to Galveston many times , so same area's 50-60 years later - you folk's be safe and enjoy , love the videos
That's a smart dog as it instinctively knew it could find the salt of the earth good honest people at the local airport.
Dogs know good people when they see them!
You two are the best thing that has happened with this channel in years. Thank you so much.
Great video Emma and Cole. Thanks for taking us up in your Aeronca Champ. Emma, you are a natural. Keep doing what you are doing and I can see this channel take off (pun intended). Look forward to your new channel as well.
Thank you so much!
Thanks Emma and Cole flying your beutiful Champ.
Wish you well in all your endeavors.
Great crew coordination - both inside and outside of the airplane. Best interview ever.
Watching this video brought back a lot of memories for me. I got my SES rating back in 71 in one of those. 😊😊😊
Bobby picked the perfect person for FD!
I have not seen this video on the patreon page yet.
It's good to see this channel take flight again!👍👍
Wonderful descriptive questions Emma - made the video experience most informative. Keep up the good work.
Awesome video. Well done. Looking forward to more good content. You are great and good in front of the camera.

Really enjoyed the video. My wife and I also fly a taildragger out of CXO, so it was fun watching you cruise around Galveston.

Incredible video Emma. Great job.
Have watched some newer episodes but need to say that you are doing the channel justice.
Soloed a 46 7ac in 1975 after 7 hours of dual at age 16. Love the champ, it's been too long since I've flown one.
Well done the two of you. Great story... Love dogs.
I am just about 90 miles away near liberty municipal. Glad I found your channel. Enjoyed
Good people and a fun channel! Your dog is extremely intelligent finding you kids! 🙂
Bobby told me to come here. Subscribed!
Very nice...Great video....
Thank you! Cheers!
First time I landed a Tri-Champ, the length of travel on the gear scared me. The tires chirped and it just kept sinking in. I thought the gear broke!
Great intro. Enjoyed the video. Kudos for the slow light demo.

Well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! 😃
I live in Northwestern Ontario Canada. I have a 1959 7 EC champ on floats. It's an awesome little airplane..Hard to beat a champ.

I love the dog story! So Cool!

Seemed like more of a checkride than a pleasure cruise😁. Great lookin Champ, love the seaplane door! Can you open it while in flight??

That’s a fun looking plane.
I think you all just talked me into buying an airplane. I'm a renter. But I want to level up. Great video.
Go for it!

Champ > Cub, Piper just made more and had better marketing
Get your dog Mutt Muffs instead of cotton.
Nice video, just a lot of static 🫨
