So much fun!! Much less exhausting watching it back from my couch than it was hiking it 😂

Hello from Indiana, Wow what a great backpacking trail! Fun fact Yall hiked this trail on my 25th birthday weekend! Ever since I came across your channel it’s got me interested in checking out Arkansas myself, I’ve used your videos to help set up an itinerary of what places I should check out whenever I visit the Natural state. Continue the great content and look forward to your remaining adventures for the rest of 2024! 😊

You should definitely get back out there and hit the trails! I want to hike the Devil's Den Trail again after rain , and I've never hiked Yellow Rock Trail so it's on my list! Thanks for watching! Happy Trails ✌️

That was awesome. Headed to Devils Den on Saturday for the first time - any recommendations for a shorter, less intensive trail to start with?

@johnarmstrong6227 Thanks for being here. You will really enjoy Devil's Den SP! Make sure you go by the visitor center for a map of the trails. I've been to Devil's Den several times, but I'm only familiar with Devil's Den Trail, which is very popular, so be prepared for people, especially on a Saturday. Yellow Rock Trail is a popular trail, I haven't hiked, but it's been on my list. Moonshiners Cave, trail located at the entrance to the park at the Devil's Den State Park sign on the Winslow side, it's only .8 but steep to get down there. It's a really neat cave and waterfall. Walk across the suspension bridge and explore the other side of the lake and the dam waterfall. Hope you have a great visit at Devil's Den State Park. It seems small but offers so much! Thanks for watching!
      Happy Trails 🤗

Your pack looks gigantic. How much did it weigh?

Hahaha...Upper 20s, we carried stuff for 2 nights when we did it in one, plus I carry a bear can, so it's in there too! Thanks for watching 😊

Is this too strenuous of a trail for kids? We are planning on splitting it up into 3 days (2nights)

I think since you are staying 2 nights, they would probably be fine. It does have some challenging spots, like hiking up the slippery waterfall,a few uphill climbs, and the trail is just really rocky. It was hard on us because we did it in one night. Our max miles with backpacks is about 8 miles(what we did each day), and it was 80 degrees. We would have stopped for a second night but couldn't find a good flat campsite, so we just finished the trail! There are some great campsites on the trail, but they seem to be between mile 5- 10(clockwise) after that and before aren't too great. We hiked clockwise, but most people were hiking counterclockwise! It's definitely challenging, it was my 2nd trip and I would hike it again, it was my friend's first trip on the BHT and she probably won't ever hike it again 🤣Feel free to ask if you have any more questions! Thanks so much for watching!
