Got back from hospital with my back surgery and taking look at progress of the Yooper House 32/2023

- Hi Guys, this episode I have been released from the hospital after my back surgery and after couple days went over to the house and look around at all the progress and the problems from when I was in the hospital

Yep it’s coming along! I am moving a lot better and rehab is kicking my butt! Rehab lady said she has never seen a order for a doctor to be lifting weights so soon! He has me building muscles in my back and start lifting weights in the gym in 2 weeks, right now it’s mostly yoga type stuff
You're right...that needs to be torn off. Probably meant well, but clearly did not know what he was doing. Hopefully you're able to get it under control, clocks ticking on snow. Hang in there.
Yep intentions were awesome but it’s all good. I actually made a bad decision on shingles so just take them off and move on 👍
Fall is obviously closing in on us so hopefully Progress can Continue on the Yooper House and your Health. 👍🙏

Reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons the towns people lead by Homer rebuilt Ned Flanders house and it was awful ended up collapsing again lol.

Yep, steel sheeting is a good option but I priced that out and shingles and if I do shingles then I can afford to side the house also this year👍 I do use steel roofing for the back roof that was built new

Yep, it was a bad time coming home to more problems but with everyone’s help it has really gotten on track and really getting better every day👍

Larry, have you ever looked at the blueprints for that house?
Do you know anything about the foundation? I think trying to cut corners is what’s making things much worse, Not Sean.
Looks like he did a pretty nice job considering what he had to work with. Face it man, you gotta start from the foundation and rebuild that whole house, In my Opinion. 😢 You’re going to need some real professionals from here on out and unfortunately a huge amount of $$$ .
I just left from up there, I stayed in St. Ignace which is the ghetto of the U.P. in my opinion, Grand Marais , Mackinaw City , cheboygan are all very nice, even Charlevoix, Sault STE Marie I liked the most, it’s coming along with some great potentials.
Unfortunately, I’ve already decided I can’t afford living up there. I don’t believe it’s for the common blue collar workers, it’s for big time investors that can get a nice return on their investments from tourists, along US-M35 US-2 into Escanaba is beautiful.
Maybe you should try rebuilding around Wittenberg Wisconsin. The U.P. is a little Rich 🤑.
I didn’t say Sean was a problem, there was another guy there causing problems when I was gone. There isn’t any blue prints, I have fixed all the foundation problems when I first bought the house 👍

Sorry you're having so many problems with the roof. If you need the meds, don't be ashamed, embarrassed, etc. I know the feeling. I was in a really bad wreck the same week 911 happened. After many surgeries later, I'm still dealing with a lot of pain myself. Take as perscribed. It's ok. As for those who don't understand, do like I have had to do, ignor them. I even had some of my family give me a hard time. My faith gets me through it. When people can't " SEE " injuries, they question it. At times it seems as if one must be seriousely disfigured in order for people to believe you. It isn't good. I know how it is. Please, just keep the faith, take care of you. We can't get another LonghaulLarry. God only gave us one. He's a good man.👍
Yep, god has surely touched me and my healing and placing a awesome rehab person in my life to work me though this and get better! I just like how the meds make me feel, I don’t really drink either cause I don’t like that feeling, right now they are really needed but hopefully in near future can get off them

Prayers went up for ya last night, hang in there you have to understand that being a Christian your in for the wildest ride of your life, let Christ handle it, more prayers for ya when Sandy and I walk this morning. But ya gotta admit, the guy did absolutely the worst job he could do but he did try.........I guess.

If you had seen the video you would have seen it was when I got back from the hospital and the go fund me was actually after this video was made and the reason help was needed to get back on track. Plus I never asked for money, I said if people wanted to help they could, have a wonderful day
Wow that is an awful shingle job..Like you said he should have left it a lone if he didn't know what he was doing. Now its going to cost you more to rip it off and start over. I hope you were able to let the guy know what a bad job he did, and ask why he didn't listen to the foreman running the job?
It was a pain but I really didn’t tell him it was a terrible job. He was trying to help but made it worse, wish he would have just listened to Sean but he wanted to help I guess. Life goes on and we just have to pick ourselves up and go on👍

It may look like hell, but is it water tight? If so, why tear it all off, spend money which you don't have redoing it,,, just for looks.
With your finances and health so shaky, I would swallow my pride and see if I could live with that shingle job for a few years until things straighten out in your finances, and health stabilizes. Who knows, you may need to move to an assisted living facility soon, and not even be there. That place may be sold. You want it all now, and maybe you need to slow down, reevaluate your priorities.
The roof was starting to leak in the garage last spring so had to be done before this winter. Then it was shingled and the part that was shingled was leaking so had to be taken care of. Project was started and then had all my problems so if I walk away now then might as well just bull doze the house. Not good idea with all the work and money put into the house inside couple years ago. The project is moving along real nice with everyone’s help everyday
