  • The Crutchfield exclusive JBL BassPro Nano is JBL's smallest powered sub, able to fit into tight spaces yet still deliver a satisfying bottom end to your audio system. It uses 100 watts of continuous power to drive a 6x8" woofer.
    JBL BassPro Nano: www.crutchfield.com/i-rYTVc2P...
    You can dial in the sound on the BassPro Nano with a variable low-pass crossover, phase switch, and an adjustable bass boost. An included wiring harness makes installation simpler, and a wired bass knob lets you turn it up or down from the driver's seat.
    The big advantage of the JBL BassPro Nano, however, is its ultra-compact size. It's small enough to put into a tight spot in your car where traditional powered subs just won't fit.

    Seems like a good buy, i have a small hatchback. I want big sound but dont have the space, all 4 doors have a gto 620 and sounds awesome but the bass still lacks a bit. I want a sub but again space is lacking. I have 4 gto 930s in the back that add decent bass but the boxes are still kinda big. Looking for same kind of bass out of a stock dodge sound system but without the crappy stock speakers. This seems to fit those needs, a compact 6x9 style bass but without the complexity of external amps and large speakers boxes. I only go jbl cause everything else just seems to lack something in the sound and feel of the music

    I commented on the JVC CW-Dra8 as this was an option but I love the size of JBL for my tight boot space. I also like the simplicity of the remote...just up or down without the confusion of the other features on most remotes. Will this be on a par powerwise with the JVC as that unit on full volume compliments my system perfectly. I can't come in to Crutchfield unfortunately as I'm in another country. 😉

      We found your other post and replied to it with this message:
      This JVC model (meaning the CW-DRA8) is expected to produce louder bass. The change in the watts and the total surface area of the driver are both increased and combine to make a noticeable difference. Now, if this JVC model is not being turned up over 3/4's top output levels, then you should be able to still get the bass you seek with the JBL BassPro Nano installed (just need to turn it up more than the JVC):

    I’ve been a Crutchfeild customer for over 5 years now and every-time I needed help they throw me products that don’t match with vehicle specifications such recently one of the representative from crutchfeild recommended me install amplifier that draws 60+ amps which my vehicle won’t tolerate since it’s hybrid. As many other time they sent me incompatible speaker wires and steering wheel control as well. Now days I research myself and order single parts at a time.

    JR, love the wall behind you... I'm torn bwtn this JBL Pro Nano and the Bazooka BTA6100. both are 100w and relatively small. obviously the nano being underseat small. just looking for additional base in a cx-5 and wrx (w/trunk)....

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  10 месяцев назад

      The Nano is not expected to make much difference when installed in a trunk. The BTA6100 is better for trunk installs. However, the open cab design of an SUV can take either model as there is no back seat/rear deck to muffle the bass.

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  2 года назад +2

      You only need to adjust one unit's phase control. The best setting is typically the one where the bass sounds the strongest or most lively. When a subwoofer is out of phase with the rest of the speakers, the bass usually sounds reduced. Sounds anemic and unfocused.

      This depends on the amount of bass that needs to be added to the system to get you the sound you seek. We've got a few questions to help:
      What vehicle is this in?
      Is the system still stock? If not, what has been changed?
      On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being no bass at all and 10 being your goal, where would you say you are now?
