Bearings on the input gear exploded on me too. Should have blasted with hot air first.

I suggest widening your suspension with Big Rock A-arms , I have this on my granite, gives it a lot more stability that or put Kraton4s suspension, which I put on my Big Rock 6s conversion to do this you’ll need a bigger servo, shocks, metal/ steel front / rear diffs and spur gear I started with a Surpass Hobby 6s motor 150 amp esc but those don’t last they burn out. I now have a Spektrum 150 amp esc and 2050 kv motor more power a more dependable so far.

I’ve been doing speed runs with it all year. Got it up to 81 mph so far. I’ve done a lot with it since this video just didn’t have time to record any of it.

Nice. I went 4s with hobbywing motor and esc and so far so good. I did pop an axle out but was able to fix it. I have a bunch of upgrades but haven't had the time to install them. I am considering those RC4WD ebay axles but can't find any reviews on them.

I hear they are ok but people bust them like any other one out there. I’ll probably keep running hot racing shafts for now. I’m on my second set. Mostly breaking them during crashes or metal wear after a lot of runs on them.

How did the hot racing drive shafts hold up?

I’ve broke a full set of four so far but the ones on it currently have lasted a long time. Mostly breaking them during bad crashes on the road.

Why not just buy a 6S model from the start? It would probably be cheaper in the long run and definitely less headache.

Bought this truck used. I’ve done a lot to it since I’ve got it. Turned it into a speed run truck. Hit 94 mph with it so far. I’ve got a 6s slash 4x4 and and 8s Xmaxx I’ve been messing around with as well.

@@jibberjomini 94 is impressive in that thing. Thanks for the video, it will help me when it comes time to replace parts on mine.

@@bigshoe84 your welcome. It was an impressive pass and I’m glad I didn’t crash it at that speed lol.

You were running 6s on stock diffs?

Yeah for a little while, they didn’t last long. Ended up going with hot racing diffs.
