Thank you! I must admit I’m one of those people who tries to pick yarns that are exact the same and 100% “matchy-matchy”, however this time I didn’t find two perfectly matching blues so here we are! 💙
I love the green sweater that you're wearing. And also the blue sweater that you're knitting. And the turmeric color of the half and half shawl is lovely.
I found your podcast a couple days ago thought your everything I knit in 2022 videos and love it! I just got caught up on your RUclips knitting journey, you have made so many beautiful things and have inspired me to knit a peacock tee. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos!
The color of your blue dad sweater is amazing! 😍 This makes me want to knit another blue sweater as well (without mohair this time so I actually end up wearing it 😂). Also, the lilac cardigan is perfection! Looking forward to seeing it as a FO! 😍
Likewise! In the sense that I’d love to knit an electric blue sweater, much like yours 💙 Not sure when I’ll manage to finish the lilac cardigan though… It’s not one of those mindless knits unfortunately… We shall see 🤞🏼
I love Drops Puna, I can't believe you can get that quality for such little amount of money. I have made a sweater in Puna in that exact same beige colour a few years ago, and it has never pilled at all and the fabric looks as perfect as at the beginning! I anyway plan to frog the sweater only because I don't like the style anymore (it has become a home/outdoors sweater because of that).
I think my favourite is the No Frills by PetiteKnit. It's the first one I've knitted and I guess it stayed in my heart ❤️ I think it would also lend itself very well to modifications like a folded collar or longer rib sections or twisted rib instead of regular rib and more. I want to try a couple more similar patterns (i.e. Semper Sweater by The Knit Purl Girl) and then I hope to make a video about this topic.
@@AnItalianKnitter Thank you so much for the reply! I also like no frills - the only one I tried so far. :) A video on the topic would indeed be interesting.
Another lovely episode! I loved hearing about the toddler scarf. So creative to use self striping sock yarn of which I have a lot. Now I just need a grandchild to knit for! I like hearing about the nuances of these various raglan patterns too. Your color choices are beautiful!
Thank you, Mary Beth! I truly love that scarf construction 💡 👏 And I’m planning to try a few more raglan patterns and make a decision on which one is my favorite. Happy holidays!
Francesca, I loved this episode! I so enjoy your detailed descriptions of everything. Happy Holidays to you and your family! Thank you for sharing your acquisitions. I plan to purchase the Wool It magazine! Tina from Staten Island, NY
i love the Cardi. I enjoy doing the collar at the same time as the sweater. I think I may put it on my 2023 list! Have a great New Year! Buona fine and meraviglioso principio!
Erin! I watched yours last night and I APPLAUDE you, both for your knits but also for the time that must’ve taken to edit. I’m looking forward to mine but also not looking forward at the same time 😂
Thank you for an interesting podcast with your new sweaters, wraps and scarf info. Beautiful. I had a bit of difficulty hearing though. Wondering if there is someway to turn up the volume. I don't want to miss anything!
Yes, great suggestion, Trudy! I meant to try cranking up the volume during editing, before posting this video. Will do it next time. Thank you for your support! ❤️
I love the bilingual magazine - when I was studying French, this is exactly what I would try to find! Thank you for sharing, I hope to learn Italian too so this would be a great help! 🎉
Love the colors in all your projects🥰 Specially the blue in the dad's sweater💙 Thank you for wonderful episodes this year! Wishing you a happy new year✨️
Are there any local yarn shops in your area? I’d love to see a video of a visit to a LYS. I love seeing what the stores are like in different areas/countries
Hey Nayla! There are indeed a couple of yarn stores near me but I find it quite difficult to muster the confidence to film in public, but I’ll think about it. 😬
Thank you, Kendra! I’m trying to push myself to knit a colourful thing here and there (i.e. the green sweater) but my heart still gravitates towards browns and grays and creams 😅
Hi, I like yor channel and positive energy 😊 If you could advise which of the sweaters Monday or No Frills do you like better (both from wearing and knitting perspective)? I am beginner and struggling to choose 😅
Sorry, I’m so so late with my answer but the No Frills Sweater is my favorite. I love the comfortable ease underneath/around the armholes and you can always switch up the ribbing to customise it a little bit (i.e. 1-by-1 twisted rib or maybe 2-by-2 regular rib). Both are lovely choices though!
Lovely knits Francesca 🥰 Please be careful with a scarf for toddler. Only wear it when you are with her or some other adult...there is a danger for example on playground. I think a cowl is more safely for little once.
You're so right, Mima. After finishing the scarf, I saw some comments online about the dangers of scarfs for small children. My daughter (2.5 years old) is too young to play outside of adult supervision anyway, but I'll have to remember to put the scarf away when she becomes more independent. Thank you for mentioning this.
I want to join you on the beach with a cocktail and our knitting. What fun…. Currently out my window we are getting a foot of snow 🤣❤️❤️
Yes, please! Let’s go 🏝️
I love how you paired two blues and the effect is gorgeous!

You make me want to leave my house and go grab me some more Drops Puna right now! 😬
Auguroni Francesca. Grazie per questo anno di podcast ❤
Grazie Barbara! ❤️ È stato divertentissimo e mi auguro (da sola!) un altro anno di podcast.
With so many basic sweater patterns you’ve tried, which is your favourite so far?

I hope you will love Wool It. It makes me so proud that we now have an Italian knitting magazine! 💖 Happy start of 2023
I love the colour of the jumper you’re wearing. Green is my favourite colour. The other jumpers are also very drapy. I want to knit them all!
Yay! Glad I was able to inspire you ✨
