Was worth waiting, again another awesome video :) we need also a detailed one on the adaptivity (Beautiful spring action) :), a quick question tho, when you made the first transition , second mouse click to choose the face, you didnt choose all the cam faces, you choose one, is that normal that it understands it ? as its in one part ?

Thank you! I'll make a video on how I made an adaptive spring within the next couple weeks. :)
Yes, that is normal that the software understands a single selection on the transitional surface when it is a continuous set of faces. So when I selected the single face on the cam, since all of the cam faces were continuous (tangent to one another), the software recognized that all the faces were continuous and knew exactly what to do.
If you select a single face and the transition does not work, try taking a look at how your transitional face(s) and evaluating if they are continuous. Let me know if you have any other questions. As always, thanks for watching!

Great tutorial! My roller keeps falling below the cam, any idea how i could fix that issue?

Thanks for watching! It sounds like it could be a surface continuity issue between the roller and cam. The first thing I would check is that the cam profile consists of smooth transitions (lobe is tangent to circular part of cam where it intersects). The next thing I would look at is the actual animation itself. When you drive the constraint, try changing the amount of steps the animation takes during the rotation of the camshaft (increase or decrease number of steps). I found that increasing the amount of steps in the animation helped solve that problem on occasion for me (for example: 300 steps per 360 degrees of rotation instead of 25 steps). This option exists as "Total # of Steps" in the Increment section of the drive constraint command window when you right click on the constraint you want to drive and select "Drive". Also, make sure that you have the "Drive Adaptivity" option enabled in the drive constraint command window if you have adaptive components within your assembly. If that does not work, delete all the mates you have made (at your own risk) and retrace your steps when reapplying all of the constraints. This can uncover a potential mistake when you rethink how your assembly mates are interacting with one another. Before you do anything else, give the first three suggestions a try. I hope this helps!

It works perfectly and moves freely and in drive, but when I add the spring and use drive it stops working.
    What can be the issue?

Hi. do you know how to animate expanded spring in a motorcycle? I am quiet confuse of that
    thank you so much

Hello! Thank you for watching! I have a video on animating springs within my Autodesk Inventor Playlist. The video is called "Adaptive Spring (Animation) - Autodesk Inventor Assembly Tutorial | Autodesk Inventor 2021 IN DEPTH". See video link below:
