A big one I’ve learned the hard way is don’t be a one-trick. Learn to grow comfortable with I’d say at least two to three characters (Mine being Urbosa, Impa and Link), so you have not only an expanded knowledge, but also so when you get to later missions with more difficult targets and more strict restrictions, you’re not caught in the situation of having one-tricked one character, then having to select two to three others because they’re required, but knowing nothing about them.
If you liked this game, I'd advise that you go and get Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition also as that was the 1st of the series. It has LOTS of characters from the entire Zelda franchise and the mechanics of the game are largely the same minus the sheikah slate abilities
I hate it lol. Beat BotW three times. This is barely playable. I even like fighting games! This just feels like I'm constantly wondering where I am and spamming buttons on thousands of enemies... What's the point? I'm only a couple hours into it... I'll keep going.
@@rozwelljones4976 i’m about halfway through the game and i can confirm that it’s definitely very different from other games. Gameplay can be a bit annoying at times but if you decide to skip it i would recommend watching the cutscenes on youtube because there’s a lot of story that goes more in depth into the characters
The problem I have with the AI Characters in Age of Calamity is the only thing they are good for is Defending Outposts. They are invulnerable and they will not die at all if you don't select them. So generally just leave them at an outpost in one of those missions and you never have to worry about that outpost. Besides that they are completely useless by themselves. Unlike Fire Emblem Warriors where the AI actually captures Outposts.
Game is epic in my opinion. I love muso games but this way better than OG hyrule and is one of my favorite Muso games since OG hyrule and Dunasty Warriors 7.
I can find 0 apples. Like really. I'll be down on 1 heart for each character and I'll be searching all over the map, ignoring the battle. And the few boxes I find... just rupees. Fucking rupees...!

It’s also preferable that you learn the champions because they have a lot of specific missions
Learn 4 characters, as that’s the max team number.

OK but revali is an expection on the spamming rule in my opinion because while flying I've taken out entire groups of enemies in a few shoots
