I'd say in some ways it is but if you want it to fit yourself and be somewhat symmetrical in spots you do have to pay attention a little bit and be prepared to frog stuff and just didnt quite get where you wanted it to go to?? at least thats my experience :D but all that can happen if you follow a pattern as well tbh

How hard could it be to make a Cinderella gown out of single crochet and then cover it with tiny roses made from crochet thread! In 24 hrs and I’ll wear it to the movie theater.” Vibes so laid back it’s great!
It might be the type of yarn and stitch your using. Use looser tension so your work can have stretch and maybe measure around your head ear to ear and make the neck about that size in width
adding the star on it sold it for me 😂 I'm a slut for anything and everything with stars or in the shape of stars so even if the color won't suit me I like the design and the star would be what would help me decide to buy it if I saw it in a store tbfh

how do you make your turtle/mock necks, and still get it to fit over your head? i can never fit my crochet over my head lol

make ribbing on the neck part
I've seen some people put in elastic thread and that seems to work incredibly well
There’s like a certain type of ribbing you can crochet for the neck and wrist parts of a crochet sweater that allow it to be stretchy!
Her turtle neck looks like it’s a double crochet, chain one & skip a stitch, so it stretches
