To those who criticized Jamie on the loss of what you call "pure jazz essence", music evolves and people grow up, some people mature well and develop fast, some others got stuck in the nostalgic past that they can't ever take back. My best mate was under the covers and was so sad. He wasn't even talking and that's saying something because this kid talks a lot. He didn't even want tea which is his favorite drink. I asked what would help and he texted me "just play music. it helps" so I put on Jamie Cullum because he's his favorite artist. As soon as he sand the first word, my friend popped out from under his blanket and started smiling the biggest smile ever. Now's he's happy and singing along.
Yup can relate to that. Everytime I'm sad, these are the songs I play immediately.

Another banging tune for Jamie! It must have been cold in the studio, judging by his breath! I think he's the most under-rated jazz musician in the UK these days. This authentic, very simple video shows me, that Jamie just want to have fun at making music, his passion he wants to share with us. It's not about being famous, commercialization or showmanship like other artists are related do. He's plugging self-being and l love it.

He does still play Jazz. You just have to go to his concerts. He has no set list so he'll drop a standard every now and then. A pity his last US tour didn't do well...I think we really made him feel unwelcome :(
