Hey Group, Hope y’all enjoy this video. This was filmed in September, a few weeks before my fateful run-in with a Rattlesnake Bite. Recovering from the bite and daily rainstorms have us editing most days,. Many more videos to come. Until Next Time, Bob Hansler
Bearded & Bored I know right, can’t wait to try it myself! 🐍 🌵 🔥. Hey, Bearded, hows that cedar countertop comin along? Can’t wait to see more of what you’re doin.
Never had a problem with the Poulan...until I put the wrong gas in it:-( I wasn't paying attention and ended up running a tank of regular gas through it. I'll have to replace the piston and cylinder at some point. New project!
Dude, you have to keep up the content when you’re able. You’re knowledge, positive attitude and badass best friend huck have taught me more than any book. I appreciate the effort put in and hope you can keep it coming. Kickass job.
Cool video Bob. Your dog is so cool. He has the most kick back attitude that I have ever seen. Plus he listens to you. Thanks for the video. Hope you are doing good. Hope you are healing up after that bite. God bless.
Thank you Bob. Your knowledge of the great outdoors, and your constant calm, collected demeanor are an unending inspiration to me. I sincerely wish a speedy recovery for you every day.
Ha ha....love the look on your dog after you offered him some....."Nah......I ain't even gonna look dude." No way I would be sitting in there "knowing" there are other rattlers in there with you....no way. Great video Bob. Thanks for sharing.
Your pup is so well trained. I love the abundant uses of cactus pad. I read in a "survival" book once that "snakes are scary and don't bother with them (when it comes to eating them)." Literally, word for word. I've never eaten snake but I keep hearing it's good. Great video. I'm definitely interested in more desert survival stuff.
Those survival cards are awesome! Excellent way to carry around survival tools in with your credit cards! Rattlesnakes taste pretty good if you can get past the fact that it's a snake. Be careful of the head...even when it isn't part of the snake any longer, the venom is still dangerous. Bury the head right away. A small or baby rattlesnake is just as dangerous as a larger one. And if you see one rattlesnake, look around for another one too.
Bob I'm really glad to hear that you are on the mend. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family that you get healthy again quickly and your vision problems don't affect you too much
Great videos, keep them coming. I see in your comment that you got rattlesnake bit, hope this finds you doing great. Brother I live here in the Tennessee hills and I was bitten by a timber rattler in a fishing run with my boys and wife. Its no fun. I drove us out of the cove myself, tingling, sick, sweating, and dizzy. Doc said it affected my central nervous system and theres no cure for that. I get nervous real quick, and I have nerve control issues but by the grace of the good lord I'm still here. I would love to be out there with you. I've always been better suited for the outdoors. My family has lived in these hills for over 250 years and the outdoors is where I feel more alive. I love watching someone else that loves the outdoors as much as I do. Keep up the work, a keep the love for the beauty that God created. God bless you and yours.
Your videos are far and above all the videos I have watched on survival, and outdoor living. Looking forward to a lot more. Can’t believe Huck doesn’t like rattle snake.
I would love to see more desert survival as I live in the Sonoran Desert (Phoenix) and being stranded is a reality here. Sending you lots of healing love 💜 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵
................Good morning ......Please allow me to add a few more thoughts to my earlier comment which was done after my first viewing of this epic masterpiece . My first viewing/comment was done at 1:30 am this morning after a late night drive returning from my grandkid's football game.....I have viewed it twice more after sleep and during coffee..... ...............Yall have taken survival/historical videography skills to all new heights . When I refer to "yall " in my comments you know I am referring to you, Shawna , sometimes Brea, and Huck. With your efforts and artistic talents yall have ADVANCED video art Back through the ages to the days of the early hunter/gatherers of the desert Southwest.....Watching you and Huck kneeling at your cooking fire in a rugged cave gives me visions of the Indians of the region in that same setting, and I know Shawna is behind the camera . My hat is off to yall and, please....can't wait for your five day adventure......Thanks for taking us back in time with you...The drone footage is great too........ much appreciated !!
Another great informative video! Can't say enough good things about this guy, he knows his stuff from start to finish..his dog is more knowledgeable then most people I know. Keep the videos coming!!
Really enjoy watching your videos and seeing how much Huck loves you. Rescue dogs have hearts so big a human will never be able to understand. Stay safe out there.
This was a fantastic video. I'm out in the eastern woodlands and continue to learn more about surviving and bushcraft, but thoroughly enjoy seeing how another environment creates challenges in survival. You have a gift for teaching, please keep the content coming. Great job as always!
Bob, it brings me a lot of joy to see you more mobile than you have been in a long time. I subbed to your channel about a year before your vision troubles started. I prayed for you quite a few times and everytime I watch one of your videos my 6 year old asks "how is Bob's eyes, Daddy?" Very happy for you my friend.
Bob, you speak with such confidence! Your calm instructive style is a reliable source of information. I have subscribed due to your honest, easy to digest teachings.
I want to see all your content, Bob. So yes on the 5 day desert trip! So happy your eyes are recovering so well. Best survival and all around outdoor channel on the net. And not corrupted by big money or sponsors. Keep it up.
Hoping you'll do the 5 days of desert survival. Almost cried when you said the rest of the video footage was corrupted. Must have been a huge blow to you and yours.
So good to see you back on RUclips again you sound a lot better and more happier just keep up the good work and I really enjoy your videos so thank you for taking the time to make am
Really enjoy seeing a different look at bush crafting. Living in Southern Arizona myself, its good to see desert survival episodes. Speedy recovery on the snake bite, those are no joke. Looking forward t see some more videos. Huck looks to be the perfect companion, love that breed.
Most men would stop messing about with snakes after getting bitten by one... but not Bob, nay, he believes in himself and has the grace of God on his side to not let one mistake and a bit of bad luck shatter his will.
Huck is such a placid companion but when it comes to getting rid of rid of pests/unwanted animals he does what is needed. Also I found your channel during the weekend and I can't get enough of your videos. I've learned so much and I'd love to get out and explore sometime. Keep up the great content.
I’m a kid from LA, so watching you and Wooded Beardsman this is all new to me and I love it. You both have me very interested in survival living. Great stuff.
I moved to East Texas about 15 years ago. I learned to survive in Minnesota and really enjoyed your video about Texas survival. The environments are so different it's hard to apply what I learned up north to here. Many thanks for your tips. I believe everyone should be able to survive without a grocery store nearby.
Interesting video and I have also taken a bite from Tiger Rattlesnake in my case. Not fun and back in the 1970's no antivenom, ya just had to sit it out.
@@gabriel897100 Most Rattlesnake bites are what is called a dry bite and you don't get the whole lode. Way more people that are bitten live than die, but it is a horrible thing to endure.
Hey Bob! Thank you for yet another great video. I hope you’re recovering fast and feeling better. That’s a real beautiful area a lot like Oklahoma. I’ve been rattlesnake hunting here and all I find are water moccasins. I’ve even crawled into a few caves and didn’t even find a skin. LoL
Please continue with this desert survival video series. It's the best I have ever seen. Just great. I assume this video was shot after the personal ordeal you went through Bob. Yours is a personal survival story that makes you so interesting. I was an avid hiker/camper and backpacker most all my life and my kids are all the same. A failed back surgery has landed my in a wheel chair fore the past 6 years. Its looking more permanent every month. I have to deal with it as you did. Your videos and so many others have keep me sane and still interested in new Bush Craft techniques. Keep the faith Bob you content is GREAT!!! Surviving in Hickory NC
