My mates and I just had our first games in over a decade. Forgot how fun it is.
Got mine yesterday and read the book instantly 😁 the structure in the book is the best i have seen to date for any table top game. Aswell as the summary on the scenario booklet (on the back is even more inproved and better then before lovin' it!

This is a nice box! The addition of terrain is a nice touch too. But I don't think the value of this ($210) tops Battle of Pelennor fields ($170). Considering that set comes with a wider miniature range for a lower price! Thoughts anyone?

Add in the Minas Tirth and Mordor battle hosts and you have two pretty good armies
Wait...do you need the Middle Earth or any ordinary games to play this?
Wish there was an easier way to paint these minis, bc i dont have the actual paint, nor skills, nor time, and just priming one color doesnt do them justice. And anyone who plays any mini game knows colors and terrain brings the game alive
Hello.im new to the game.my local game store still has 5 boxes of battle of pelennor fields. Would there be any good reason to by 2 to have double the models ? I still plan on buying the new set also.
It's only worth it if you want huge battles. But I wouldnt say you need that many. That would be a huge amount to paint haha

Out of curiosity, why do you dislike the metal models?
Because I find them much harder to paint. Details dont show anywhere near as well. And they tend to break much easier when dropped because of the weight

Excellent value for money because of the terrain. Terrain is often overlooked when introducing new players to the game but I can tell you, they get far more immersed in the world of Middle Earth when they feel like they're fighting in Middle Earth
Really …I cant stand the new plastic ones , you look at them &they break & you spend twice as much for inferior quality (better detail yes) but I looked at Thror & his sword broke

I disagree. When you look at how much you get in this, and how much it would cost individually, its great value. Plus its much cheaper on Firestromgames ;)
