Bandung is my second home town...
As an Indonesian who still has Dutch blood, the city of Bandung is the birthplace of my mother, my grandfather (Opa) and my great-grandfather as well... we are the 6th generation born in Indonesia, who spread and lived in Bandung for a long time. Hopefully you can enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the city of Bandung which is also known as 'PARIS VAN JAVA'.. Don't forget to visit the biggest telescope from 'Meneer' Boscha in Lembang, OK..

Sudirma Street is literally only one throw of stone away from my house! Good knowing you enjoying Bandung, Susan. If you are planning to visit Bandung again soon you should try to visit the southern part, Ciwidey. Its as cool as Lembang but there are lot of hot springs water there

If you still in Bandung right now, i suggest you to visit Taman Langit located at Pengalengan, West Java ( only 1 hour from bandung), you will get a nice panorama view full of green hills from the tea plantation and there is a great camping ground too and nice sunrise in the morning, also nice weather.

But now Bandung feels different from the development of the times, which used to be known as cold air, now it is hot like other cities in Indonesia, because there may be a lot of pollution and Global Warning.
Try visiting Pangalengan in Bandung where the air is cooler than Lembang, there are also many tea plantations there

Susan, The southern Bandung have more beautifull nature. The name ciwidey, rancabali, many higher amazing waterfall, the narigul forest, and the beach of cidaun for fish barbeque.

Besides Lembang, I would recommend Dago.. and also there are many instagramable restaurant in Sukajadi area.

Try to go to PENGALENGAN ,,the tea plantation is awesome there,,and the weather is cooler than the midtown of Bandung,,or try to go to SITU PATENGGANG OR KAWAH PUTIH in ciwidey

First time I went to the floating market few years ago, I had sate kelinci which is rabbit satay, tempe mendoan (tempe fritters) and rujak (fruit salad with brown sugar and peanuts) 😋.
Traveling from Bandung to Banyuwangi, you will surprise to find alot of good destination. just googling it. Happy travelling, can't wait to see your update !

Hey Susan! Leuke video! Bandung is warmer than it was 15 years ago, so unless it is very windy and/or cloudy, it is going to be warm and humid. Check out Ciwidey and the surrounding area for more greenery. By the way, nice video! And the Dutch way you pronounced WIJEN made me miss The Netherlands and esp. Enschede, ;)

Another really nice factory outlet in Bandung is called Rumah Mode at Setiabudi Street! They sell fashionabe and trendy clothings and there are also really nice restaurant and cafes there, you should totally go there if you have time 🤍✨

Fun fact, Bandung has so many nicknames kota kuliner, kota kreatif, kota fashion etc. If you find so many foods in here, you know the reason. Btw have you tried seblak? Thats an iconic food in Bandung, you probably find one in other province but theyre not authentic. Next time if you visit Bandung again, i recommend you to buy seblak at “Seblak teh Ida” in Braga street. I hope you enjoy visiting our country.
