a safari park is definitely better than a zoo that's obvious. After all, this is an Indonesian safari park that we are talking about, an institution that is not careless in matters of nature and animal conservation and has often received awards both from within and outside the country. I'm sure the people who dedicate their lives to working there know much and are better than us in dealing with animals.

Trust me, the animal that can we ride it eg. Elephant, camel and others was treated as good as possible, they are live with the guide from children so they can be so friendly, and for riding them there was maximum weight for person, if you are overweight (i didn't mean bodyshame) you can't ride them. I appreciate about your love to animal, so do i, but sometimes we must try looking for knew it or you can ask there to the officer how they treated the animal. So please don't do overjudge again before you know how it does here sis ☺️

of course she knows that those animals are well treated in TS, but she is talking about the elephant riding (which is bad) because in fact riding an elephant will hurt their spines and caused terrible wounds as elephants are not designed for carrying heavy load, this is what she called bad. and i agree with her. if you care more about animals, u'll know about it thou :))

Just like some previous comments, its just display cages that you been through. Little did i know, these animals have very large cages with very tight access since TS has such a huge area. Also, they change the animals regularly. No worry about that i guess.

18:52 => Some of the things with the elephant being ridden i agree with you that in some countries like in Laos it looks very clear it's like an act of animal abuse. But maybe it's just a glimpse to assess how the elephants are actually treated at this Safari Park. Because if you look deeper than the various information available, the treatment you are worried about is different from that in Laos. Yes, in my opinion, I don't know, so I don't love. So sometimes people are free to give opinions and ratings to a place. Indeed, valid honesty needs to be proven more seriously before deciding whether to recommend or not to visit here. Because everyone is free to give an opinion as long as it is true and does not harm other people or parties. But I really appreciate your spontaneous honesty in assessing this. But it should also be considered at a later time to double-check the certainty of what you feared about the elephant being ridden for the purpose of what was done at this Safari Park.

@@gypsyinsneakers about animal abuse, yes I totally agree with you.
I think a lot of people still don't understand this.
In Indonesia there used to be a lot of monkey mask performances. A rope/chain is tied around the neck of a monkey. Then the monkey was forced to do many things to entertain the audience.
I think that's pretty sad. But now due to there are many animal-loving organizations have been campaigning for the protection of animals, monkey mask shows are very rare nowadays.

As far as I know the elephant in Laos is from wild environment and they did that to make them obey the trainer [which I also hate it so much] but the one is Taman Safari was born there, so he/she already gets used to the human and fortunately they don't need to do anything harm to make them obedience. Maybe you can check with the keeper or maybe somebody can clarify this. Cheers.

May I suggest you come back to Taman Safari and request the management for a special tour on how the handle and manage the animals, especially on how they tame elephants and camels so that they listen to the owner. I do not know how they do it too, and could be they have a different ways than your reference from Laos. Since I am sure the circumstances and environment are different, And while your there, you could educate the management on how not to have the "animal riding", I/m sure they will welcome your inputs. 👌👍

Actually there are bjgger place for them. The animal there is not 24/7 there but the staff would bring them to bigger place every few hours. The place we have seen in the vid is just display cage. The animal there get good treatments. About elephant, they were born there so they already close to human, unlike in elephan in laos . In taman safari, the staff did not torture them. They even have standart who can ride it. And the staff constanly switch the elephant to not burden them. They all well taken care off

Kind of disappointed by some of the comments below as a fellow Indonesian, traveler, lover of animals and human being. Just because this Taman Safari doesn't treat the animals AS BAD as zoos/safaris in other countries or parts of Indonesia, why can't we all just agree to GET RID of the riding of the elephants and camels period! It doesn't matter if they were wild originally or born there and already domesticated from the start, WE DO NOT NEED TO RIDE THEM. Just appreciate them. ALSO real elephants in the wild walk for miles and miles with their herd and they love to bathe (it's how they socialize). So yes, I do agree that the enclosure for the elephants is WAY TOO SMALL. I'm not saying that because of this we shouldn't visit this facility, NO, that is NOT what I am saying. But this facility and so many others do need to improve if their true mission is to conserve, educate and care for the animals. There's nothing wrong with telling facilities that they are doing great but still need to fix some things. Let's all improve as people.

Tolong jangan ajak orang untuk tidak datang kesini dong mbak!
    Jadi gini yah..
When all the cages are big, imagine that you cannot see the elephant that close. Fyi, sometimes the elephant walk around the park by walking in the road, so do not judge something you don't know well. You better ask the guardian first before you judge.
    .
And if you are an animal lover, why don't you complain about horses being ridden? Do horses like being ridden?
Why do you still eat chicken and meat or maybe pork?
Those are killed. Those are eaten by you, aren't you?
    .
The conclusion is, you can give the input about the park in order to make the place better and treat the animals better, but PLEASE DO NOT EVER ASK PEOPLE NOT TO COME TO THIS PLACE!!!
You are a youtuber and you can influence people.
    .
    Be wise!

Awalnya saya antusias tapi tanpa mengurangi rasa hormat..!!

no don't spread that word.. You have right to never come back, but suggesting people not to come here is bad things especially for those animals.
Where will they get their food from if there are no visitors.
I don't know about breaking the souls of animals when we ride them, but as far as I know, before motor vehicles exist, wasn't it natural for camels, elephants, like their buddy horses to be riding as transportation?
I said that for the tame animals that they take care since they were born, not wild animals that were caught and trained.
Your word is not a solutions other than more problems. But based on your observation, yes they need to give some animals proper size space.
And how to do it? tell them about that, makes more people said the same things, get more people to visit them, and those atraction let be exist with one condition is they are taken care since born to that purpose (sounds bad, but is any other idea to gaining more money to feed them all and makes better places?)

Just because you saw how Laos treat their elephant don't mean you can generalize how other place treat their elephant, come to this place will help the place to fund the animals, they need foods, vitamins, and caretaker, if this place going bankrupt what will happen to those animals, you should think about this, they aren't used to the wild life so you can't send them to the forest or any wild place, beside camel is already a transportation in arab islam old era, Islam known to treat every animal nicely, they even told not to kill ants or any animal that won't cause danger to them, so they won't use camel as transportation if that will hurt the camel, elephant in taman safari also born there not like in laos who take from the wild. We should come to this place to support all the animals there 😤🙏

The elephant part, at taman Safari case, they grew up with staffs care. I always come to taman safari once in a year. Those elephants are happy and even Michevioes. Sometimes they love to tease their caretaker and the elephant seems like they giggled after caught up doing pranks.

Hewan2 itu tidak seburuk apa yang kamu lihat,,mereka tidak dieksploitasi secara berlebihan. Selain buat tempat hiburan, Taman Safari juga buat penangkaran hewan2 endemik asli Indonesia.

My uncle used to work there. And the way they train the elephant is not the same with the circus elephant or the one in India. I saw it myself. And also it‘s not painful for the elephant if you only ride them for short period of time. It is painful if the elephant is being used to carry heavy load like the one in India or Africa. Then it would have serious spine problems. It doesn‘t make sense that it‘s painful for them if it only carries you. They can barely feel you even if it is 3 person. Even people can carry you for long period of time. Just want to straighten things out. Amazing video tho and have fun while you are here!
