Thank you! This helped me with the final stage (parking brake shoe adjustment) of my complete brake renewal on my VW Touareg R50 (5 liter Twin Turbo V10 Diesel). It wasn't easy by any means but the satisfaction of doing it myself is priceless! 😃 So is the dealership invoice on this job. US$ 6000+ for new front calipers + pads and rotors all round with labour! 😯 I refurbished all of my four calipers with new pistons and seals bought from a UK manufacturer and used Brembo original brake components all round (368mm front / 358mm rear). Cost ~ US$ 800 plus some new tools / toys. 😃🤑💪
I just came from MOT and although the car passed the parking brake was on the limit of a fail. So this is something I'll need to do in the near future. Now ill know what I should do.
