I was today's years old when I found out that Queen wrote this song. I have been under the impression that its been knocking around since the 50's based solely on the vibe of the beats.
Yeah. For years I incorrectly assumed it was a cover, as opposed to a tribute to the style.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love was already a rockabilly song! The Rockabilly revival of the early 80s was so overpowering that they all tried it: Queen, Dire Straits, Neil Young... It was not always a great success but Queen managed it alright. They had recorded a punk song previously (Sheer Heart Attack).

I should begin by saying I am huge Queen fan, and particularly a Freddie Mercury fan. I've also been a fan of yours for years. I do love most of your covers, and this one was good but it seemed a little lackluster for me. The Queen song was already Rockabilly, so you aren't doing much different with it. My favorites are when you put a song in a much different genre than it originally was. Anyway, keep up the good work.
