    I've been following Hendrik on social media for a while a part of the reason I trusted the xt4 for autofocus was because of his shots. Great to see you're working with him now and he's having an input on a more demanding field than some

    This is fantastic considering how old the 50-140 is. I was thinking he was using a different lens for some of these. Wow.

      It might not be the newest of lenses but still very capable. My favourites are still 90/2 and 200/2.

    It is so nice to see this video and the shots that you are getting. I shoot Soccer with the same passion as you and have my pre-order in for an X-H2s.

      Thank you! I'm sure you'll be very happy with the new X-H2S for soccer. I also shot a game of soccer with it and the new features really help there also!

      How's the xh2s holding up for you? I might have an assignment shooting soccer soon and I'm too invested to switch brands now. So I'm thinking about adding a xh2s.

    Thanks for the video, I saw you prime lenses for wider shots.
    What do you think about using 16-55 2.8?

    • @HendrikOsula
      @HendrikOsula Месяц назад

      16-55 is a great lens but the focus seems to shift too much while Zooming, that's why I'm not using it too much. If I can't zoom with it swiftly with reliable focus, there is no point of using it over fixed lenses.

      Thank you! The video was shot on X-H2s. Can't say exact settings, but for the interview the 50/1 lens was used for close up and 8-16 for wide shot.

    Great shots! Looks like it is also better at high iso? And how is the new joystick? Is it faster than the old ones? If so it would be a great upgrade for my x-t3's for lowlight events and sports.

    • @HendrikOsula
      @HendrikOsula 2 года назад

      Thanks! It seems to be a bit better on higher ISOs yes. I can't confirm without the proper production model and software, but it does seem like it. The new joystick is much faster, it's even hard to get used to it at first! Over xt3 the update is noticeable in every aspect!

    How's the branding in silent shutter in those arena lighting conditions? I know it depends on the lighting

    • @HendrikOsula
      @HendrikOsula Год назад +1

      It depends on the LEDs. Some of them have no issues, other have. Tho playing a bit with shutter speed and using flickerless SS on XH2s should get it working on most of them with electronic shutter also.

    • @daviddively7022

      If you click the “story behind” it shows images and the lenses. Many were 50-140. Doesn’t say if using the TC or not.

    So this guy is just bragging about his photography ... while pressing the shot button on burst mode to make like 160 photos in 4 seconds?
    Where is the art in photography in that? He might as well put a video camera on a tripod, film all the match, then printscreen whatever frame he wants.

    • @AlexanderBischof
      @AlexanderBischof 2 года назад +4

      It seems that you have not shot a basketball game or done sports photography.
      Try to get into that and you will understand his way of work. It’s also my way of work when shooting such games professionally.

    • @PhotoBob
      @PhotoBob 2 года назад +2

      Before disparaging a professional photographer, I would recommend you try his craft. You clearly aren't a sports photographer, which is fine of course, but if you really want to know, go shoot professional sports. It will open your eyes quite a bit. When I started shooting professional soccer, I had a wake up call. Now I enjoy watching new photogs try their hand at it.

    • @gregorylagrange
      @gregorylagrange Год назад +1

      Don't worry about the comments because you're not wrong. Autofocus, that many frames per second, and cameras that detect eyes, what used to reflect a skill and craft, and seeing is now point in the right direction and just keep the button down.
      The pictures may be good, but that doesn't mean that who took them really is. They just have access. But that's technology.

    • @gorihechi
      @gorihechi Год назад

      Agree with you. With FPS of some high-end camera now almost reaching frame rate of video, and autofocus technology that detects eye and track them, the line between photography and video is blurred. That's why I am going to experiment just that. I'll ditch my Nikon D4S (16mp), take 8k video of sports action with X-H2 (not X-H2S in this video), grab some frames (33mp) and as long as AF do its work, I will never miss a shot. Taking photos also rely on AF, so what's the difference? I have ample room to crop/trim with a large file size as well.

    • @gregorylagrange
      @gregorylagrange Год назад

      @@gorihechi That camera has 20 fps with electronic shutter for photos, so you'd be saving storage from all the extra video footage.
      Do you know if that camera has any lag time when you switch it over for video? Or does it do like other cameras and shut down after a short while if it's ready for video and you haven't shot any video?
      You still may better off shooting photos for getting photos.
